Came for their lunch special. I got the bibimbap and it was a large stone pot with purple rice, with all the ingredients. It was very tasty and I loved how the rice on the bottom got crispy. My cousin got the pork katsu and that was pretty good too. I saw a lot of people getting the spicy pork, I'll prob try that next time. The price was good $13.99 for the lunch, the side dishes were okay, nothing memorable. Decent place here if you are craving Korean food.

Food was decent, I liked that you can adjust spice levels. I love that they have potatoes in this soup to really soak up the soup. Also, that soup was delicious!! I like that you can order the egg to be over hard my dad got this and said he liked it. It's his goto! Service was nice. They were so attentive and gave us extra napkins. I do have to say though... They're ALL butter fingers. They dropped things over 5 times on the floor and I saw them put at least 2 of those things back into the clean basket (red) to wipe down and serve. Good thing we sanitize all our utensils everywhere before using them. Vibes are casual. Come in sweatpants. I love their 2000s rnb playlist that they had going.

Was craving some Korean food and wanted to try this place. Restaurant wasn't too busy on a work day evening, and even then service was slow. Sullantang - Broth was creamy, but felt like a instant noodle package. There was also very little beef in the broth. Ultimately, I don't think the soup had the body I'd expect from a beef broth. A bit disappointing, would not recommend. Side dishes were only ok. Would not come again.

The restaurant was so busy that we had to wait for 15 mins. It has decorated for Halloween inside already. They survived from the Covid, then we could tell they must be so good. The price was only a bit increased and it was understandable because of the inflation. I love their traditional Pork Bones soup with rice, then my husband got their beef stone bowl. They came really fast and the side dishes were nice too. But the Pork Bones were not as much as before, this time only 3 pieces. Lucky that I was not a big man to have a lot. The beef stone bowl was tender and tasty. And it keeps it warm for a long time. Pretty cool. We like this restaurant so much and definitely come back later.

Cozy spot, amazing food! Tried this spot for the first time 2 years ago, parking lot sucks, it's very busy and sometimes a little out of control. Recently took my niece and nephew there for their first time. I didn't include pics of what they ordered as they were too far across the table, and everyone was hungry. Flavours are always delicious, and price is fantastic compared to other Korean spots. Service is as expected of an Asian resto, quick, no nonsense, but still pleasant if you need anything. This location has charge on takeout boxes if you don't finish your food, and also tip is added on for large parties. They are posted all over the redtaurant. The staff was very worried we would be upset by that when she told us, so I guess other people have made a huge stink about it.

Cute little Korean resto in the Langham Square plaza. It's located on the upper outdoor lot, where parking is usually limited. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was served relatively quick. We ordered the Army stew, pork katsu set, and the pan fried dumplings. The army stew came out hot and bubbling. I appreciated that I could choose the level of spiciness as not all Korean restos give you this choice. The pan fried dumplings were nice and juicy, though it looked and tasted more like deep fried dumplings. The katsu was good, but a bit on the thinner side. We didnt get as much variety of aide dishes as we would at other Korean restos but the side dishes we did get were delicious. Prices were reasonable so will be back to try the other items from the menu!

Have been wanting to try this place for so long!! First of all, the service is always great. The workers there are so kind and very attentive. They will check in on you occasionally to make sure you have anything you need. The restaurant layout itself is pretty small but not too small that you're so close to others beside you. As for the food, I've been on the hunt for a good black bean noodle in Markham. This wasn't the best but it was pretty good! Second runner up from my all time favourite black bean noodle. 4/5 We also tried the spicy tofu. It was pretty spicy but loved it!! The seasoning wasn't too heavy and it was yummy. I'm not the biggest fan of tofu so don't take my word for this. 3.5/5 Lastly, we got the seafood pancake. It was also good! There's a mix of veggies and eggs within the pancake. I only had a bit of it but every single bite I had had an onion. It could've been just that section of the pancake. The outside was crispy which made it delicious! 3.8/5. My family LOVED it though. Their rating: 4/5 The short ribs were pretty good. Not the best I've had but loved how easy they were to cut into. Sometimes I have to fight to remove the meat from the bone. I wish there was slightly more sauce/flavour on it. 3.8/5

My new favourite Korean restaurant! I ordered takeout to take home for my family and did not get disappointed. The boneless chicken was JUICY and the right crisp! The gimbap was delicious but fell apart at times. Pork bone soup was EXTRA SPICY. I guess it's not for the weak at all. The chicken katsu was absolutely out of this world! It wasn't dry, it was the right crisp as well and perfect amount. It came with side dishes like seaweed, pickled yellow radish and dumplings. I will order here again for sure!

One of my favourite Korean spots in Markham. Staff are always so attentive and friendly to check up on you, refill water, offer refill on your side dishes (limited 1 time per table) and quick to notice you. Their food is always yummy. Honestly no complaints. The pork bone soup and cold noodles is a must try. Especially ordering vinegar on the side for the cold noodles, iykyk. I recently tried their kimchi fries and it was SO good! Crispy Cavendish fries (like Costco fries) and the creamy kimchi sauce was the perfect pairing!

Went to this Korean restaurant today (all the staff are Chinese) and omg the attitude was sooo bad After dinner, the waitress literally asked me and my bf for tips in the most impatient tone ever. Our bill was $42, we gave her $2 (we're students and didn't even bring much cash), and guess what?? She actually ROLLED her eyes at us Like... excuse me??? What the hell is wrong with her attitude?? I mean, what mistake did I even make for her to treat me like that? I gave a tip that was reasonable, legal, and honestly the best I could do. Why would something like this even happen in Canada?? So rude. Never going back.

Tried this place for the first time as a girls night out. Parking can be a little tricky. There is a lot of people visiting this plaza so above ground parking is usually full. They do have an underground parking though. Ambiance - 4/5: it is a small and narrow store front but they can seat quite a few tables. We asked to switch tables because the original area was cold since it was close to the door and they were willing to do so. They only have 1 universal bathroom but it's clean and spacious. The servers spoke in Chinese and English. And they had Cantonese songs playing in the background the whole night. Made me feel like singing karaoke haha. Service - 4/5: their service was pretty good. They are quick and if they are serving someone else, they will acknowledge your request but will ask you to give them time. If the whole table pays by cash on one bill, you get a 5% discount. Food - 4/5: They had garlic seaweed, thinly sliced daikon (or white radish), dangmyeon (glass noodles We ordered the seaweed roll (gimbap) and seafood pancake to share. Individually, we ordered a chicken katsu bento, mackerel bento, pork bone soup (mild spice) and army stew (regular spice). I was debated between the pork bone soup or mackerel bento but opted for the pork bone soup. It did look really good though. My friend says it was good but got a mouthful of fins at one point. The gimbap was good. It fell apart sometimes, depending on how you picked it up with your chopsticks. I personally did not have an issue. They give you 8 big pieces. The seafood pancake was ok for me. I liked that the outside was very crispy. But the inside, I found quite wet. The pork bone soup - it was a big portion and definitely filling. Mild spice was very spicy for me. It definitely cleared up my sinuses. They had 2 big bones, 1 potato and 2 long cabbage pieces. The meat was tender but unfortunately, it was not fall of the bone. I still needed to use my hands. It also came with a bowl of rice. Overall: 4/5 - I recommend this place!

Moms kitchen never fails the food is always so good. Second time here the service is always nice the servers are helpful in answering questions. The environment is nothing fancy just regular tables and booth seating on the other side.

Tastes like chinese made korean food lol. Fried chicken is a bit dry. The staff are nice alright . The Atmosphere is a small but they get busy so it gets tight.

I often find Korean food too salty or spicy, but the dishes here were flavorful without being overwhelming. The portions were generous. Our side dishes came with our food and it wasn't too spectacular. The food was good and hot, but I've had better Korean food. Overall, I feel this place is good, but pricer end. We ordered the bossam, seafood pancake, and budae jeongol and the bill came to ~$100. The bossam was quite a large portion and the flavour was quite delicious. Our favourite item was the seafood pancake. We devoured that and if given a choice to only order one dish, I would definitely recommend the seafood pancake. The budae jeongol (as a solo dish) could easily feed two people. They pack the soup in two large circular soup-like takeout containers and the ingredients in a square container - same as the ones that the bossam and seafood pancake came in. There were plenty of tteokbokki, sausages, cabbage, and ramen noodles. We put the dish together in a wok and kept it heated on a portable induction cooktop. They gave four containers of banchan: fish cakes, japchae, radish kimchi, and mandu. My only complaint about this experience (4.5/5) was their inaccurate waiting time. I called in around 5 PM on a Wednesday to place my order and they quoted that the order would take around 20 to 25 minutes. I showed up ~30 mins after I called and they didn't have the food ready until 5:50/5:55 PM. I understand that they're busy, but I would have appreciated a more accurate wait time.

I usually get their hot pot size of pork bone soup to share with others. It comes with lots of pork bones and a huge piece of potato. Bossom 5/5 - I love their bossom here. The only complain is that their bossom comes with lettuce rather than napa cabbage. Still super delicious though. Banchans 5/5 - Their kimchi is the best banchan they have. I often times also buy just their kimchi to take home as it's very garlicky, fresh and delicious. Spicy pork rice 3.5/5 - A good rice option, but I still prefer their soup better. Jajangmein 3.5/5 - Another one of those dishes that I can skip. Only get it so that we can have a variety saucey noodle dish. I can't recommend this spot enough. Make sure to get their kimchi! But also make sure to check your order before leaving. One time I was there, there was a flustered teenager working the front of house. Because I'm a regular there, I touched my order he handed to me and noticed there was no hot soup burning my hand while holding the take out bag. When I brought this up, the chef came out and also mentioned that he had forgotten to pack my two containers of soup. Thank goodness I checked. Unfortunately when I got home, I noticed that he also forgot to pack my two white rice that comes with my soup. So just make sure to double and triple check before leaving when you get your take out! Other than that, it's a solid 5/5 for me!

This location is in the same plaza where No Frills and McDonald's is on the northeast corner of Warden & Highway 7. The parking lot is massive so it should not be too difficult to find parking here in the evening. It may be a bit difficult if coming here for lunch due to the dim sum restaurant also being in the same plaza. I got my usual gamjatang. I usually alternate between rice & ramen. This time I opted to have their ramen gamjatang. My husband got their combo (kimchi stew with mackerel). Once we placed our order, we got the complimentary banchan (potato noodles, spicy cucumber, seaweed, kimchi and pancake). The banchan was not as fresh as the ones we used to experience at their Bamburgh Circle location (so sad that this location closed) but was still good & edible. My gamjatang arrived piping hot & the portion was massive. The flavor of the broth was missing the depth of the Bamburgh location but it was still delicious. The portion was so huge that I didn't finish my bowl like I normally do. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal especially the mackerel. He said it's the best grilled fish he's had. It was charred well yet the flesh of the fish was still moist. The service was fine. Nothing to rave about. They did their job of taking our order and bringing our food to us. Nothing special. The only compliant that we had is that they were organizing the dishes and cutlery behind the counter making a lot of clanging noises which isn't pleasant while trying to enjoy our dinner. Another substantial dish is the steamed pork bo saam ($49.99 for large) where slices of pork belly are kept warm on a hot plate. Diners tuck these soft meat slices into lettuce, Napa cabbage, and turnip with a smear of the savoury bean sauce for a protein packed bite. Our table was split about the haemui pa jeon ($28.99). The size of a medium pizza, it's made for a group. Personally, I found it way too thick and didn't contain enough ingredients to balance out the doughiness of the Korean style pancake. Conversely, my relatives preferred the heft as it contrasted the crispy exterior and soft interior. I guess it depends if you're a thin versus pan crust type of pizza lover. I'm firmly in the Neapolitan camp. I thoroughly enjoyed the crust that develops on the bottom of yachae dolsot bibimbap ($18.99). And the hot stone rice bowl contained a good combination of ingredients to ensure there was plenty of vegetables and beef to go around. De Chou's LA kalbi ($34.99) was rather neutral with very little sauce, so you mostly taste the beef. I personally would have preferred more sauce to help caramelize onto the beef ribs, but the older members of the family appreciated the plainness and liked that it was tender. (3/5) De Chou Korean Restaurant - Lunch Review…read more We stopped by De Chou Korean Restaurant for lunch today since we happened to be nearby. The sign said it opens at 11:30 a.m., and true to their word, the doors opened exactly on time. The restaurant itself is quite large and impressively clean -- that was my first good impression. We originally went in because of the sign outside advertising Korean ginseng chicken soup, but when we asked the server, he told us it's no longer on the menu. A bit disappointing, especially since my wife wasn't feeling well and I thought that soup would've been perfect for her. We ordered two Bulgogi Dolsot Bibimbaps ($21.99 each). The portion was decent, but the flavor was a bit bland and not salty enough for our taste -- overall I'd give it a 6/10. We also tried the Japchae ($13.99). Unfortunately, it was too greasy, a bit slimy, and overcooked -- about a 4/10 for me. They served five small side dishes, which were just average (5/10), and a small cup of noodle soup that was lukewarm and slightly sweet -- not to my liking, as I prefer savory over sweet in Korean food. The total came to $65.51 before tip, and we left a standard 15%. To be fair, by the time we finished lunch, there were quite a few tables filled, so maybe other dishes are better. But based on what we ordered today, the food didn't live up to the price. Would I go again? Probably not.
