I feel like this place has been around for a very long time. Lots of Richlane turnover and restaurants seem to be rotating on and off but this one has stood the test of time. They're one of few korean places that cook the meat for you and insist on doing so. That aside, they have a lot of selection and all your korean staple dishes are going to be on their menu. Last time I went I got the Jajangmyun (black bean noodle) and it's solid. Great flavor and great texture on the noodles. I will say their side dishes are really good and a cut above other korean places I've been to. Hoping this one sticks around for even longer as its so consistent and reliable everytime!

Make sure you give yourself enough time because it's always so busy here! Came here on a Friday night and it was packed, waited about 45 minutes for a table for 5 people, but it was worth it! The service is excellent, they're quick, polite and friendly as well. The restaurant is clean as well, the restaurant doesn't have their own washrooms so you need to step out into the hall of the plaza and use the restaurant at the end of the hall. We ordered the: Kampoongki - Fried chicken with sweet and sour chilli sauce. The flavour is delicious! I normally don't order sweet and sour flavours but their sauce was really good, not too sour and sauce tastes a little like garlic honey. (8.5/10) Seafood pancake - one of my favourite seafood pancakes I've had in the GTA. They didn't skimp out on the seafood and the dish was crispy but also not too thin. (9/10) Pork bone soup - Massive pot of pork bone soup with cabbage, rice cakes and tofu. Really tasty but I was slightly disappointed that there were no potatoes in the soup, but overall really tasty! (8.5/10) Beef Bimbimbap - Standard bimbimbap, tasted good (7/10) All the dishes are served with sides that include: Honey potatoes, kimchi, cucumbers and radish All the dishes are HUGE, the three items we ordered were enough to fill 5 people and have a lot of left overs for takeout. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back again soon! In total we spent 125$ after tax and tip

We got the tteok ramen, jampong, dolsot bibimbop, gamjatang, LA kalbi, and jungsik sizzling plate. Everything is so delicious including the banchan which includes japchae and honey potatoes. The food comes quick and portions are a good size. The price is very reasonable. The dining area is large but it can get busy as we were 1 of the last 2 available tables during dinner. The restaurant is located in a mall that is mostly other Asian restaurants.

I came here for a Wednesday evening dinner. At around 6pm is when it started getting super busy and all the tables were full. Lots of people ordering take out as well. My party of 3 ordered: - Pork Bone Soup - 4/5 - it was pretty good - Jaeyook Dupbap - 5/5 - flavours were great, perfect spice! - Bajirak Kalguksu - 2/5 - I wasn't a fan of this. It needed more flavour The banchan choices are great here! Their kimchi and potatos are good. Service was great! The staff were attentive and nice. Food came out at a good speed. Restaurant was clean. Lots of tables. The only downside was that there was no AC and we were very hot inside. Overall, a great Korean restaurant and I would definitely come again!

gamjatang and seafood pancake

Service wasn't bad but one of the ladies definitely had some attitude lol I asked a general question about the spicy level for the gamjatang, but she said you can't adjust. And the next sec, she goes "so do u want it or not?". We ended up getting and it was decent also not too spicy. The seafood pancake was definitely a no. It wasn't as crispy as it looked and the oil was really stale. The japchae was also undercooked. Too many flies so it made it even more difficult to enjoy the food.

A small casual atmosphere. I've tried lots of pork bone soup from many places. The meat here is very tender and falls off the bone, making it super easy to eat. The seafood pancake was loaded with seafood, though the taste was not very memorable. Overall, I had a good experience here. The service was quick and they did not rush us out the door even when we were done our meals.

Small busy Korean restaurant. Service is hurried. Very tight space. Very generous portions. Family meal for 4 is enough to feed my group of 4 adults and 3 8-10 yr old kids. Combo for 4 comes with bulgogi, deep fried pork or chicken, seafood pancake or japchae, pork bone soup or ramen with rice cake soup.

Decided to pop in here for dinner after seeing some good reviews and since we are regulars at another restaurant in the mall we thought it would be good to try another place. Menu was good. Good selection of stews and rice dishes and they have some interesting table top bbq combos. Prices are decent and comparable to other places with similar options. What was ordered: Kalbitang Assorted seafood and pork belly on rice Chicken Katsu All the dishes come with purple rice. Let's start with the good, the assorted seafood and pork belly on rice was really good, decent combination of seafood and meat. Seafood included mussels and squid. Good portion. The chicken katsu was meh (the person who ordered this is a fan of being habitual and will typically order this dish), the chicken was pounded really really thin! The biggest disappointment was the Kalbitang. 3 pieces of short ribs that were as tough as nails. There was one piece I had to abandon. It wasn't even chewable. The soup base was good. Could have used more clear noodles. The selection of banchan was good you get 5 dishes and there was a couple of dishes I don't regularly see such as seaweed and tofu. Service was okay. It was busy and there seem to be only 2 servers. 10% off if you pay with cash but they take credit as well. I really wanted to like this place and it seems really popular. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but it's such a basic dish that it was shocking that it wasn't done well. If I could do 3.5 stars I would but 4 would be too high.

One of my go to Korean spots. The portions are fairly big and food is usually fresh. The food is authentic and tasty. The service sometimes isn't the friendliest. It's a pretty busy spot, but you can make reservations for group 5 or more.

Clean and simple flavours, Korean comfort food Food: Arrived on a weekend evening and the restaurant was packed, but luckily we were the first ones in line. There was a good variety of banchan to help get us started, and the portion sizes were fairly generous. First time having the bajirak kalguksu, and the clams were suprisingly clean and the broth was very light. The noodle texture was very nice. The gamjatang was also a bit lighter on flavour, but the bones didn't have a lot of meat. The japchae was very flavourful and came on a very large plate. Overall, the flavours were a bit lighter than other Korean restaurants, but everything tasted pretty good. Service: It was definitely a bit understaffed with two servers covering the entire restaurant's orders, but the aunties did their best to help everyone and the service was still pretty speedy. Atmosphere: The layout was very open and clean, with the tables being a little close together but it was a cozy space. Great for a meal to share for small families or friend get-togethers.

Located inside Richlane Mall, this korean resto has been around for many years now. The food is quite authentic even though the service is sometimes a lil bit shoddy during peak hours. COMBO A-2 FOLKS. The best freaking deal ever. You get sliced pork belly (for the grill), a seafood pancake, deep-fried pork/chicken AND a family size pork bone soup as well. The menu says that it "serves 4 ppl" but TRUST, it can possible serve 4-6. I'm a big eater and I had enough food (my friends were tapping out by the time the pork bone soup came around). Pork belly: Nice, thick cut pork with a good amount of meat and not just super fatty. The grill was angled and had a drip funnel to drain all the excess grease. Seafood pancake: Big pancake. Lots of seafood. One of the best seafood pancakes in Richmond Hill. Tangsuyook (deep fried pork): The pork was still crispy and juicy despite being covered by the sticky, sweet sauce. The sauce was a thick, apple-based sauce. HUGE plate of pork. Fam-size pork bone soup: Some CHONKY cuts of pork bone and no potato in the soup (which was great). They toned down the spiciness a lil bit which I appreciated. I rmbr coming in the past w/ my friends and the PBS was insanely spicy. Ppl must've said something haha. A-2 Combo is the way to go here. GUARANTEE YOU'LL FEEL FULL.

One of the best Korean restaurants we've been to! We ordered: * #14 Ramen Tteokbokki * #5 Seolleongtang Service was speedy and efficient. We didn't wait at all to get seated, and food didn't take long. There's plenty of seating inside. It's good for family, small group of friends, and couples. I liked the booth we sat in. One thing, their kimchi is so fresh and tasty. It might be the best kimchi I've ever had in my life. And gotta love unlimited sides For $38, this meal was a steal.

Bibimbap crispy rice

Been here numerous times, bout time I get off my lazy butt and write a review. Located inside a small mall building, Richlane mall with plenty of parking. A hidden gem with great authentic Korean dishes, can get busy during peak lunch and dinner periods. Ordered the soft tofu seafood soup and Bibimbap in stone pot. Soup contained bits of octopus, mussels, shrimp, etc. alongside generous amounts of soft tofu in a rich flavorful broth. Enough seasoning to give it the right about of spiciness, so comforting, especially now that the weather is turning. Comes sizzling bubbling hot to your table. Bibimbap in stone pot also arrived hot and sizzling at the table, gochujang bottle at each table to add additional flavor to your preference. Food quality/flavor always consistent, service staff always helpful. They got it right

Service was good and food was delicious…read more We got fried rice and bulgogi, overall it was yummy! We got here at 5pm on a Sunday. It was only a couple of tables that had customers. Shortly after, the whole place got so packed! So I guess that's something to watch out for in terms of timing. I specifically preferred this place because of the location and good parking spot. Overall, I'd go back here again.

Spicy Stir-Fried Squid and Pork Belly…read more I could hear the wok going absolutely crazy in the kitchen, so my expectations were high before the dish even arrived. It came out sizzling on the hot plate, with the oil still crackling. The pork belly was thick-cut but perfectly sized for one bite. The real surprise, though, was the squid. It had that firm, springy chew you get from grilled squid, but the flesh was also surprisingly thick and substantial. It felt like an indestructible little fighter that just wouldn't give up. Every bite turned into a tiny tug-of-war between my teeth and the squid, and I genuinely loved the texture. The shredded onion, zucchini, and carrot each added a different texture, with the zucchini especially helping cut through the richness. Almost every chopstickful had some meat plus two or three strips of vegetables. The ratio was pretty much perfect. It is on the expensive side, though. I checked Jindallae afterward and a similar dish there is around $22, making this one roughly 30% more expensive. A little disappointed that I didn't get the eggplant banchan I'd heard so much about. The side dishes I did get were simple and very home-style in their seasoning.

This restaurant has lots of seats (benches) available and all seats come with a stove in case you order bbq. The place gets a bit dim once the blinds go down. I was on the fence because my friends and I were one of the first customers to try Bap.zip 1 in Thornhill even before they grand opened and we had a "so-so" experience. I decided to give them another chance. Now .... Idk if it's the service or the portion sizes, but I DID taste noticeable difference in the flavour of the food. For example, their namesake specialty bibimbaps actually tasted seasoned this time around. We ordered the steak dolsot bibimbap and the meat was perfectly cooked upon arrival at the table (meat was way overcooked on my initial visit to the original location). The steamed mandu were ok. The dipping sauce tasted better than the dumplings truthfully; some of the filling was dry (the best steamed mandus still belong to Myungdong Kalguksu). The pork bone soup was above average. A lot of meat on the bones but the broth was lukewarm when it arrived at the table. The KFC was actually surprisingly good LOL. We ordered padak (green onion) chicken and the presentation was great. The chicken was super crispy and the chicken was juicy. Would order chicken again. But the best item .... dare I say, the best item on the menu was the king donkatsu. On my first visit to the original location one of my friends ordered this and it was the consensus top dish at the table of 10+ ppl. Finally got around to ordering it myself this time and this thing was crispy, juicy, tender and MASSIVE. Easily the best value on the whole menu because of the size of this thing. The three of us came away thinking the meal was pretty good!

Unfortunately, no takeout menu available. I found the menu on Uber Eats. They said that they don't make takeout menus anymore because they change their menu often. Food - 3.5/5: ordered the following: Banchan (came with the food) Seaweed salad - tangy, had shredded cabbage Kimchi Cucumber - smoky spiciness, slow burn Kimchi radish - crunchy, more spicy than the cucumber, tangy Oxbone soup: - came with salt on the side, add to taste. I only needed to add in about 1/3 of the salt - broth is bland at first but the ox flavour comes through later - no bone, just beef brisket slices - comes with glass noodles Pork belly - small for a whole pork belly, came on a bed of raw onions, a little dry - the nappa cabbage was shredded so I couldn't make it as a 1 bite wrap - the garlic was not fully cooked but surprisingly did not that raw spiciness (which I appreciate) - came with saamjang on the side. I didn't use much. I found it too salty and overpowered the pork belly - not sure if the rice is for this or the oxbone soup but I ate this with the rice Bulgogi dolsot bibimbap - not dine in so no hot stone bowl - lots of rice but there were still a decent amount of toppings!¡à - bland, came with gochujang on the side - added soy sauce, seasame oil and a small amount of gochujang when I ate it Accepts debit/credit/cash. 5% discount with cash, 10% if order is more than $100 before tax Overall 4/5: I would like to try dine in and take a look at the physical menu
