We were seated for brunch on a covered patio - there were also "2 tops" that hug along the building for outdoor overflow. Parking was surprisingly easy, got a spot right in front (free) and only had to drive around one time on a Friday night. (It was just before dinner rush though) One of the best hamburgers I've had in a while! I got the Royale with cheese and regular fries that were perfect. My daughter got the beef-ish (vegan) came with two patties on it and the sweet potato fries-she enjoyed hers very much as well. The staff were great, genuine and friendly. If this is one of those restaurants where awful service is the shtick, they nailed it. Unfortunately, I can say with confidence it's not because those restaurants generally have excellent food quality. It was a Sunday afternoon. We entered and waited so long for the host to seat us that we began to assume we were supposed to seat ourselves, which was odd because aside from two tables with patrons, the restaurant was empty. We were eventually seated. Water and menus were dropped off. No drink orders were taken. I eventually got the attention of our server to order a drink for my girlfriend. Remember, the place was almost empty. We finished eating our appetizer before our lunch order was even taken. I had the Rob-Father (mortadella sandwich). My girlfriend had the Frying Nemo (fish sandwich). We both had sweet potato fries. The food quality was no better than something you could easily make at home. The fish was clearly a premade frozen filet that was soggy after frying. The only possibly redeeming thing about mortadella sandwich was fig spread which was so sparingly applied that my dining experience became a scavenger hunt for any flavor at all. These comments are no critique of the kitchen staff. They are working with what they've been given, which, if the service is any indicator, is very little in terms of quality. The setting was surreal for a Sunday brunch: four enormous TVs showing sports, a DJ mixing R&B hits from 2004--loudly--a room that you couldn't enter unless you paid $100. This restaurant desperately wants to be Hugo's in Fayetteville, AR but lacks the historical clout as well as the quality of menu items. The clever names for the dishes on the Misfit menu only serve to obfuscate the fact that the food is subpar. I would recommend a name change from Misfit Kitchen to Ill-fit Kitchen since the entire wait staff is ill fit for their positions. read more

A few of us hit this place up for a belated birthday brunch. First, the atmosphere in there is such a vibe. We started with a couple of carafe of mimosas! They have several juice options. The blackberry syrup was amazing. We got these loaded bacon cheese fries. They were good, but all the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the plate. Once we stirred them up, they were top tier. I had the El Coyote, which is like a version of Chilaquiles. The steak was cooked perfectly! Oh, also, our waitress was great! i've been craving a burger for some time & once the party i was with was set on coming here for a lunch meeting, i saw the menu before i came here & i already had my mind set on the the pop's burger. it had everything i could ask for, especially the brisket (i was also craving bbq). once i asked for the sweet potato fries, it was recommended to get the ranch for it, so i went ahead & got some. the burger was really good. i got the patty well well done & they made it to my liking. there was a good amount of brisket on the burger, they weren't too heavy on the pineapple berry bbq sauce (which was a good thing). the garlic aioli was a good touch. can't go wrong with pickles, i liked the blackberries being added. as promised, the ranch did go well with the sweet potato fries. they gave me a good amount of fries that made the meal complete & left me full. you can also choose house fries or house chips as well. as far as burgers & sandwiches, there were TONS to choose from. soups, salads, wings, nachos... all of that takes place before you even get to the entrees on the menu. so even outside of the burgers & sandwiches, there's even a lot more to choose from all-around. service was great, wait on the food wasn't long (the place was getting packed too). i'd like to come back for their brunch read more

On my plate were two of the very best lamb chops I have ever had. Tender, juicy, cooked to a perfect medium rare and covered in a "braised reduction sauce." The sauce was excellent. It complemented the lamb without masking the wonderful flavor. There was enough on the plate to sop it up with fork after fork of buttery, fresh, made from scratch mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes had the perfect hint of garlic. Three colorful carrots completed this perfect meal. My wife had the FRYING NEMO sandwich: lightly battered fried mahi, with an unusual tasty tobiko tartar sauce, arugula, heirloom tomatoes between a fresh sourdough baguette. I am not familiar with tobiko tartar sauce, but it was a perfect curious flavor addition to the sandwich. This delicious sandwich came with a big serving of thin crispy fries. My Wife, "This sandwich and those fries were the best I have ever had!" It is a very nice up scale / casual restaurant. Colorful, comfortable interior. Been here twice and loved the food both times. This time got their BLTA sandwich with spicy honey fried chicken added on, it was phenomenal. The Wifey sandwich was so tempting and this was the best of both worlds. Great decor, music, and vibe to the place! The background noise is moderate, and the tables and booths are well spaced. Service for the evening was provided by Ali, who, along with the manager, collaborated on tonight's offerings. Ali delivered attentive and engaging service, even crafting a beautiful mocktail from scratch. Chef Perez also stopped by to discuss the menu and his inspirations for the flavor profiles. First up were some "foreplay" dishes, starting with Misfits wings served with carrots, celery, and ranch. The wings were flavored with spicy honey and cooked perfectly, featuring a crispy exterior that contrasted beautifully with the juicy interior. The sauce had initial notes of sweet honey, followed by middle notes of chicken and delicate end notes of garlic and spice. The heat intensified throughout the bite without being overpowering, making it a very good wing. Next was the "uvas con queso," featuring prosciutto, drizzled berry sauce, spiced candied pecans, grapes, burrata, and naan. This dish was excellent, starting with sweet, tangy grape notes tempered by the creamy burrata and salty, earthy prosciutto. The combination of grape, prosciutto, and burrata was wonderfully conceptualized and executed. Each bite made you want to slide the baked naan back into the delicious concoction for more. The first entree was "everything butterfish," featuring pan-seared cod, coconut cream rice, lobster stock, and a sun-dried tomato sauce. The fish was cooked well, and the rice had a beautiful texture, akin to a porridge with tiny grains in each spoonful. The creamy, slightly sweet coconut and rice flavor profile harmonized perfectly with the rich, delicate tomato sauce, full of spice and butter notes. While the cod was well-cooked, I wondered how sea bass or redfish with their sweet, nutty flavor profiles might have worked in this dish. The final entree was the "Skirrt Skirrt Steak," featuring guajillo-marinated skirt steak, chimichurri sauce, orange candied carrots, and apricot Brussels sprouts. The skirt steak was cooked to a nice medium, with a beautiful flavor combination of rich beef, tangy herbaceous chimichurri, and endnotes of salty tangy brine. However I loved the apricot Brussels. But I seem to love Brussels in any form. The service was slightly frazzled. The ambiance was also slightly lacking. $15 to park to eat in downtown Tulsa-- that was the start. The service was lacking at best, in an utterly chaotic atmosphere that is uncomfortable at best. The host sat us by the door which blew open the entire meal, necessitating us keeping our jackets on the entire meal. We ordered the burata steak bites, which were slimy, cold and fat-filled. We almost threw up eating them. Then we ordered the loaded fries, which were also lukewarm and mushy. I shared my feedback with the waitress, and she said, 'sorry about that. Can I get you anything else?' I said, some water would be nice- as we had not been re-filled at all, and my glass was empty. We got up to go and pay at the front as the waitress did not even offer to get us our bill. I paid the bill and asked to speak with the manager, with whom I shared the above. He said, ' sorry about that. I will go and give the kitchen the feedback, and we will see if we can do better. Thanks for coming in.' Really? The inside was modern, with a great (if just a tad loud) sound system belting out a nice collection of 90s pop and alt-rock. I had never had their brunch before & I decided to try it today. I got the El Coyote. It's a Mexican style skillet with baked tortilla chips. The chips are coated with the perfect amount of chili seasoning & is not hot. I got the add on chicken, but strip steak was another option.
