Today was my first day off at a job I just started that I love, but leaves me exhausted. I woke up and decided to treat myself to breakfast, so I searched for places nearby and discovered this gem I've never even heard of nor seen despite driving down San Fernando nearly every day. I ordered the original chilaquiles, I asked for red sauce but they brought me green and I wasn't even upset because they are SO delicious. I was blown away. The sauce tastes homemade. This is a wonderful local place doing breakfast and lunch items with a south of the border flavor muy sabroso. I had the breakfast burrito with sausages and my friend had the chorizo breakfast burrito and they were gooood! Since they are a bakery in the Latin tradition they have a great assortment of tasty pastry. So, definitely coming back for something else, especially it's close to the park for an after run replenish. The music. I could actually be inside and listen to their music. It's cool jazz . I had the grilled chicken basil sandwich. The chicken was perfectly grilled, moist and delicious. My friend had a vegan burrito and loved it. Good breakfast joint in Burbank We had reservations for a tour in Burbank. Coming from Anaheim we decided to wait until we get to Burbank first before we got some breakfast. We found this bakery and cafe just 4 miles from the Warner Brothers Studios. We stood in line for counter service, there were a few people ahead of us, some were waiting for their orders. Masks required upon entrance. Inside is not very big, very limited seating with just 3 tables available for indoor dining... they have a much bigger outdoor patio seating under large umbrellas, which was nice. If dining inside must show proof of vaccination card and ID. I had the Breakfast Plate with 2 eggs, bacon and 2 halves of French toast. Yummy! Hubby's Breakfast Burrito looked good too. Stunningly wonderful. (Stunderful?). I spent 10 days in Burbank visiting my daughter and her newborn and I went here most days. Everything I tried was EXCEPTIONAL. All food is made from scratch on site and you can really taste it. The almond croissant tastes like a great one in Paris. The tacos are amazing. The breakfast sandwich is the best I've ever had, and a steal at six bucks. The cakes and pastries are phenomenal. I had several different breakfast plates, all of them fantastic. Fried chicken? Outstanding. Even the chocolate chip cookies are perfect - wonderfully crispy outside with a moist, delicious, not-too-sweet inside. The place is spotless. I overheard many other customers talking about how wonderful it is. When I first found this place online, several of the reviews started with "A hidden gem". That's a trite, overused phrase that made me groan. But after my first visit, I understood. It's a perfect description for this magnificent little family owned place. 5 stars across the board!! Stumbled upon miracle bakery completely by accident and I am so happy that I did! They had outdoor seating and a very cute welcoming storefront. Inside they had it all decked out for Halloween! They had a full Dias de Los Muertos display inside! The cashier let me know that the family that owns it is from Jalisco and Guatemala :) First of all, walking inside the SMELL of the fresh baked goods was heavenly. The selection of pastries were incredible! Lots of interesting new takes on classics like a spinach babka (I will be back for that baby). We tried the churro donut which was baked, so it had the consistency more of like a coffee cake than a regular fluffy donut. But the icing was so delicious, bursting with cinnamon flavor! It smelled just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal inside the bag. We ordered two egg and muffin sandwiches with bacon. They were the perfect breakfast portion and all of the ingredients were fresh! The muffin itself was maybe the most fresh and soft English muffin I've ever had. They did pack on the Mayo which isn't my fave, but I'll know to ask for less next time. The coffee was hot and fresh. The cashier suggested we try the cafe d'olla syrup in our coffee and he did not steal us wrong! It added a really nice and light taste of cinnamon and clove to our hot cups of joe. The guava and cream melded together well, and I could taste the guava in the jelly. The crust had a good crispness. The quesadilla had a nice crisp and the eggs were good, however there was barely any filling and barely any cheese in it. Overall this was a great little bakery/ Cafe. The cashier was super friendly. Prices are very reasonable. All fresh made with quality ingredients. The bakery items looked so good. A little pricey. I'm sure they are good but $3.50 for one donut and $7.50 for a slice of cake is just out of my league. I got the breakfast quesadilla with sausage. My sister got the breakfast burrito con papas. A quarter of my quesadilla barely had anything in it, which would only have been a problem if we were sharing it. Just noting as there was plenty of "stuff" just not evenly spread amongst the tortilla. Burrito was big and filling. But like the quesadilla, just lacked some seasoning. Don't get me wrong, they were very good.. but some seasoning in the beans and pepper and a tiny salt in eggs would have def been better. Outside seating is quaint. They DO NOT HAVE PUBLIC RESTROOM! Not sure how a restaurant gets away with that, but plan accordingly. Parking lot is small but there's street parking and i believe some spots behind the building. Covid19 complaint. All employees were wearing masks. Hand sanitizer At door and cash register. Guests wear l were all wearing masks inside. Overall this is a wonderful place at a fair value. Miracle Bakery is one of my absolutely favorite local places. I've been many times and they are consistently wonderful. Breakfast burritos are amazing and heavy. Both the regular one and the con papas one are delicious. But my favorite thing to get at the bakery are their cake donuts. I dream of those cake donuts. Best flavor is the churro one, but my family also loves the lavender and lemon ones. There's a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. As of the date of this review there's outdoor seating with umbrellas and a couple indoor tables you can sit at with proof of vaccination. What a hidden gem! Came her for breakfast around 10am and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered drip cafe de olla - finally another place in Burbank that serves this! They didn't do free refills though (Mex de Cocina and Cafe de Olla do). We also got the lavender donut (gluten free/vegan) and the guava cream bun. Both were delicious. The loaded chilaquiles with pastor and salsa verde was sooo good, probably the best chilaquiles I've ever had. The sausage breakfast burrito was also good and came with chips and salsa. First off the food was amazing! The server Hasben was warm and welcoming with a great smile. He had a great energy about him and recommended the two popular options of Miracle Bakery, to which I ordered the chili relleno burrito Mom got the chicken and waffles I also got a churro donut and financier which were incredible pastries The chili relleno inside of a burrito was my first, but definitely won't be my last. It filled me up and the flavors were amazing. The side of country potatoes were season just perfect and cooked well The chicken on the chicken and waffles was breaded and cooked to perfection and there was a slight sweetness to the chicken which was phenomenal I also got an oat milk hazelnut latte which was perfectly balanced and smoothe If you're looking for a little place you can call home, this is the place! This is the hole in the wall place that everyone is looking for.
