It does feel like some strange fast food play place, but for adults who want to sit and drink coffee. In its former life, the space might've been some medical office, with its vertical stretch of rooms as a general floor plan. It is very easy to find a table and get to some work in this new chapter of Moby's. Not that you can't do that anywhere else. But there still is a risk of hitting critical mass since most places are usually small to mid-sized. And it might be too hot outside if you have to pivot to the patio - if there is one. But with Moby's different themed rooms, and their outside space, which they do possess now, that concern isn't really going to be front of mind - like it is with other coffee shop locales. So they get a big plus in the accommodations category. What's more, it seems management has really stepped up for the creative community, scheduling various open mics and crafting events in the store. On the food and drinks side, it seems Moby's has always been dedicated to sustainability, locally-sourced ingredients and providing the alternative ingredients that most on the dietary spectrum would appreciate. That being said, not everything is available all the time. If you're trying to be local and sustainable with your business, you might not be able to grab the same ingredients every time. Haha, and just my luck, everything I like has not been available for every visit. But the staff has been good about recommending close alternatives and I've mostly enjoyed the substitutes.

We regularly get the Viet-syle or the Kai when we're up for the caffeine. The matcha and ube lattes are also excellent, but they have lots of things we haven't tried yet, too. It's always fun to visit. We recommend the freshly-made cookies and cakes, which never disappoint. Ube cookies, red velvet cookies, s'mores cookies are all so good. They're soft and a bit luxurious. Nobody else offers creative cookies like this. The cakes are wonderful (lately, the pistachio cakes have been our favorites). They do some great things out of this little coffee stand and they try new things all the time. The family who makes up Skai Coffee is amazing. They're hardworking and very kind. The service is excellent. There's lots of love that goes into what they do. It shows.

The owner, Roger, kindly offered to add spinach into the shake at no extra cost. He also gave me a sample of a new soft serve dessert and conversed with me for a bit. The shake was well balanced, not gritty from the protein, and a great thickness. The shop has a parking lot, and there are about 4 seats inside if you would like to hang there. I see why this place is rated so highly and will definitely be back.
