Everything & Egg Breakfast Croissant.
Matthew S.

Miopane is a true pasadena gem. After seeing it endlessly online and driving past it I finally decided to dedicate a weekend to stop by. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had the blueberry croissant, jalapeño sharp cheddar bagel, whipped tomato pesto bagel, and the everything and egg breakfast croissant. (Trust me you'll want to order this much too!) The cream cheese is light and fluffy on all of these bagels with plenty of flavor allowing for a unique experience on each item. The pesto is not too overpowering yet packed with flavor. The fruit purées tastes fresh and just sweet enough but not overpowering. The real star player is the bread itself whether it's buttery flaky croissant or chewy soft bagel. As a lover of bread in all shapes and sizes I was impressed. The service of Miopane is 10/10. It is incredibly small inside and giving the foot traffic the line does begin on the sidewalk. As you approach the front they have someone at the door answering any questions and offering recommendations! As you enter the bakery, you will notice 8-10 seats, one restroom, and rest is back of house. The service itself is assembly line met with more nice employees answering any questions about the menu. Stop by Miopane when you are in the area, get there early and come hungry!!

WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE & GARLIC BUTTER

I saw this on my social media feed for awhile and finally had the time to check it out. Supposedly it has longer wait times from my friend's experience but I got lucky. I came on a Sunday around 2-3pm and the line had a few people out the door but the wait wasn't more than 20ish minutes. Inside there's a few tables for seating but it was packed when I came so I got my things to go. I tried the garlic cream, the matcha crumble and the sour cream & onion cream cheese bagels. Overall I think the matcha crumble was the stand out. It was their sweeter option but it wasn't too sweet and had good matcha flavor. Kinda reminded me of a matcha cake. The other two options were savory and were good except I felt the sour cream & onion cream cheese was alittle too much for the amount of bagel you get? It would have been nice to be able to have the cream on the side to be able to add as needed. The garlic cream has a very strong garlic taste from the chunks of garlic so be mindful of that. Overall the flavor was decent. I just felt it was alittle pricey for three bagels I spent almost 30 dollars. But glad I got to try it out. It's located in downtown Pasadena so there are parking structures nearby if you want to pay for parking. Otherwise you might need to try your luck on street parking.

Matcha Einspanner

Popular bagel shop located in Pasadena. They're popular for their cream cheese stuffed bagels with lots of different interesting flavor combinations. You should also know this is a Taiwanese bakery. So don't come here expecting a traditional (bagel) shop he might find on the west side. I tried coming to this place earlier around the time they were opening, but the lines were crazy long. I finally found myself in the area on an afternoon during the weekday so when I drove by, there was zero to little line. Thought it was the perfect time to go and grab stuff. The inside is clean and chill. Especially when there's no crazy line waiting to get inside. People were actually sitting and enjoying their food. I got their popular garlic cream cheese, stuffed bagel, and I got something a little bit more experimental, which was their 'Mexican street corn' bagel. I really enjoyed each of them, especially with one of their Matcha Einspanners to wash everything down. As I was sitting there, enjoying my food, one of the people working there allowed me to taste one of their experimental combinations they were working on as well. So fun! Definitely a great treat to enjoy specially if there's little to no line. Personally I'm not sure if I could wait during the busy times.

I it get why this place is so busy. They have a great selection of bagels, desserts, and drinks. We came here on a Saturday around 11 a.m., and it was quite busy, crowded, and had a long line. However, the line moved fast. They have a few tables inside, but they were all packed. We ordered an iced matcha latte to go, three different kinds of bagels, a cinnamon roll, and croissants. Everything we ordered was delicious, even the matcha latte. The staff were friendly, and the place was clean. I suggested order your food to go and go to park which is across from the store.

Hojicha Pillow, Black Sesame Cream Cheese, & Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter
Mary A.

Got there around 10:30 AM on a Thursday and waited about 30 minutes before getting inside. It was super hot and sunny that day, so I thought it was really kind that the staff offered free water while everyone waited. Service was friendly throughout our visit. The shop itself is pretty small with limited seating inside. They had a huge selection of bagels ranging from savory to sweet. They were also quick to restock trays whenever items ran out. I ordered the Black Sesame Cream Cheese, Sour Cream Onion Cream Cheese, Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter, and the Hojicha Pillow ($8). The bagels ranged from about $7-$9, which is definitely on the pricier side, but they were good. All of the bagels were soft, fresh, and not stale. My favorite was the Sour Cream Onion Cream Cheese. The bagel was fresh and had a strong sour cream and onion flavor. I was excited to try the Black Sesame bagel, but I do wish the black sesame flavor had been stronger. The Hojicha Pillow was good, though I don't think the portion size justified the price. For parking, there is street parking or nearby parking garages. We ended up parking in the garage along N Raymond Ave. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area to try more flavors. I'd recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Solid, aesthetic, and rightfully viral pastries! Second time coming here, and thankfully there was no line on a Wednesday afternoon around 3PM. They've also extended their hours to 6PM instead of 4PM (4 months ago). Last time the Everything Bagel with Smoked Gouda $6.75 was memorable and tasty. Didn't see it this time tho. Matcha crumble bagel was meh. Maple Glaze Croissant $6.50 was also good while the Upside down Sticky Buns $8.75 were tasty w the nut bits and worth a try. This time got the: - Black Sesame Cream Cheese $6.5: true nutty black sesame flavor - Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter $7.00: simple and always solid - Mexican Street Corn $8.25: unique and kinda taco season-y? Generous amounts of corn. Worth a try and dad liked it too but prob won't get again - Maple Glaze Green Onion $7.95: sooo much onions and brown buttery like w the maple. Good combo but i prob wouldnt get again Drinks are good - would get hojicha again. Def worth coming here, esp when you're lucky enough and there isn't a line.

I understand the hype about this place! My friends and I decided the try this place on a Saturday. We got there around 11 am and stood in a line but it did move pretty fast. Upon entry into the bakery you immediately smell the baked goods and it's heavenly. I loved that they had SO many options. I tried the garlic bagel, jalopeno cheddar, and black sesame latte. Each bagel ranges from $7-9. Though each item was incredible! & the service was fast. Parking is a bit complicated so plan accordingly. I can see why people will line up for this.

Roasted Tomato Herb Cheddar Bagel

Miopane is a bakery that specializes in artisanal, beautiful bagels. These bagels all have very light and chewy texture, the exterior is not thick like most bagel places, likely baked rather than boiled. Additionally, there is usually something cooked into the center of the bagel. The price is expensive, $7 or 8 per bagel. On any day they have a dozen or more bagel flavors, so you should be able to find an appealing flavor. Of the three I tried I most enjoyed the Roasted Tomato with herbs and cheddar. It had sundried tomatoes inside and some fresh tomatoes included too with basil as the herb. Very light and chewy, very fragrant, I would get it again. Jalapeno sharp cheddar was solid, but I don't care for jalapeno spice and this bagel had copies pieces inside. I think if the jalapenos were removed then it would have been a solid cheddar bagel which had cream cheese baked into the center. Lastly the Mexican Street Corn was a bagel with some crema baked inside, and then corn added on top. This one could not be heated up since it would get soggy, and felt the heaviest in my stomach (a major contrast to the other light bagels).

The line was surprisingly short when we arrived around 2 PM on a weekend afternoon. We picked up the matcha bagel, green onion croissant, and green onion bagel, and everything was very tasty. The green onion items were especially flavorful, and I can definitely see why this place draws such a crowd. That said, the matcha bagel did become quite hard by the next day, which makes me think these bagels are best enjoyed fresh. I would have loved to try them straight out of the oven, but there's clearly a line for a reason. Prices are on the steeper side, around $6-$8 per item, but that's pretty expected for Pasadena. As for parking, there is street parking available if you're lucky enough to find a spot, but there are also nearby parking structures. Just keep in mind that both options are paid. Overall, a solid bakery with unique flavors, quality pastries, and bagels that are worth trying at least once, especially if you can get them fresh.

I have been seeing this place all over my feed and LOVE bagels so this was a must try! I went on a Sunday morning around 9 and the line wasn't too bad. Like the other reviews said, it moves pretty quick. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Super patient because there are so many choices and hard to decide. The person that helped me was super helpful letting us know which ones were the most popular. The strawberry shortcake was the favorite for my daughters. The crowd favorite was the everything but bagel with gouda cheese. It was delicious! It was warm and the cheese was oozing out. My other daughter ate half of it on her own. The only downfall is there isn't much seating. So either you should take it to go or prepare a blanket/mat to eat it at the park near the store. This is what we had to do. Definitely will be by again to try some other bagels!

Heard a lot about this place from Instagram and online so decided to try it out. We went on a Tuesday around noon and there was a decent line outside. Ambiance: they only let a certain amount of people in at a time but it was still crowded inside. There's seating but there's just a lot of bodies in there. Would not recommend staying if you want a place to sit and hangout, study, or chill. Parking is also atrocious if you're not paying for it in the parking garage (which I recommend to do). The space inside is cute and aesthetic and they also have a bathroom for use. Matcha: we got the matcha cloud and it was decent, definitely on the sweeter side and the size was a bit small for the price. Pastries: they had a lot of different pastries, they mainly have bagels and croissants. We ended up getting the garlic butter bagel as it was one of their more popular ones, it was good but there was actually too much garlic and butter which made it heavy and a chore to eat, would personally not get again. The almond and blueberry croissant were better.

Sad in the afternoon most of the yummy bagel flavors are out! Make sure to stop by early if you want to try their iconic flavors. My rating is 4/5 mainly because they sell out of a lot of flavors in the afternoon and the selection is a bit scarce. The gentleman behind the counter was super sweet! I have to come back earlier next time. Matcha pillow 4/5 aesthetic looking yes but flavors were okay. It was more sweet than matcha tasting Jalapeño and cheese bagel 5/5 typical, can't go wrong with this flavor Blueberry bagel 5/5 i love how they stuff their bagels with blueberry cream cheese. It's not the typical Philadelphia cream cheese you get at the grocery store, it's so much better! I really enjoyed this

The café is surprisingly spacious with plenty of tables for dining, hanging out, or even studying. The steak burrito with the cilantro sauce was the perfect combo. Very... modern, yet in this old old building, with cute seating. I had the standard breakfast burrito, and although it's a bit small it's super yummy! I've had 2 now, and neither instance was I able to finish them. The coffee is great too. Here's the problem: too expensive. The good stuff that usually comes standard in a breakfast burrito is all extra ad ons. The coffee they give you comes in an itty bitty cup. Great quality, I think..? But... woof. Feels like the space is for people who aren't looking at their checking accounts. I think I'll come back again, but I really hope that management considers how tacky all these basic ingredients being extra charged is. I can go to any taco truck and get a breakfast burrito the size of my arm for half the price! I can get much more coffee for quite good quality at any other coffee place. :( The food and space is fun, but... in the long run I don't know if people will want to invest their hearts in this place? I think lower prices or make the food and drinks larger... If that's possible.

The MCB shines above all the other sandwiches for me and it's our favorite breakfast in the morning. Every bagel has the right amount of chewiness that we all love. My family and I would walk and frequent this place every morning to start the day with their fantastic bagels when we lived in the area. Herby mayo, hot sweet peppers had a hint of spice, pastrami was soft and not too salty, egg was fluffy. It was a good bagel sandwich. However, I don't think I'd reorder this. LATKE Crispy and savory. The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. They did not skimp on the seasonings! Every inch of that bagel was covered in seasonings! Favorite Bagels: Salt Bagel, Everything Bagel BEET CREAM CHEESE Delicious! Smooth, creamy, almost buttery! This is whipped cream cheese with roasted beet puree. Light in beet flavor, it had dill in it too. I was hesitant in getting a tub because it was on the pricier side. But it was so good, glad I got it! SEATS / AMBIANCE It had a lovely East Coast diner feel when walking in. But still, the space felt a bit cluttered. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.
