Noticed this bakery when I saw a line outside, so made a mental note to check it out at another time. That time came on a Friday early afternoon when there was no line. I got an iced spanish latte, strawberry shortcake, matcha bubble drink and an elote bagel. Overall, the spanish latte was great- no notes as well as the shortcake bagel. It was soft and fluffy on the inside with a bit of a crunch on the outside. The flavors were good- not too much but enough. I wasnt a fan of the elote (street corn) bagel but I think it's because I am more of a sweet/ plain bagel vs savory. I talked about it so much that weekend that my sisters went on Sunday (early to be first in line) to try it out and they were also happy about it. Miopane definitely lives up to the hype, though I'm not sure I'd wait 1 hour and 15 minutes on a Saturday morning again. We got in line around 8am, and by the time we walked out with our goodies it was close to 9:30am. Since the sun was directly in our faces, it was a thoughtful gesture that the owner passed out small white paper umbrellas to share and protect everyone from the UV rays. On the day we visited, there was a five bagels limit. Since we were also picking up items for friends, my husband and I decided to tag-team our orders. We grabbed a variety of items including the green onion croissant, cranberry bagel, tomato bagel, jalapeño bagel, breakfast sandwich, and egg Danish. Once we got home, we popped everything into the air fryer for a few minutes and they were all fantastic. Our favorites were definitely the green onion croissant and the cranberry bagel. I love that the bagels already come filled with cream cheese. The bagels are bouncy, fluffy, and feel more like a cross between a bagel and a soft bun. It had a spicy garlic kick that was quite intense that left a garlic taste in your mouth. Bagels are little pricey at around $7-$8 per bagel, but for the quality and unique flavors, it's worth it. Came in around 1pm on a Wednesday and lucked out with only a 5 minute wait. It looked like I had just missed the main rush since they were out of most items. Luckily the one bagel I wanted was still available. I ordered the sour cream and onion cream cheese bagel, which was decent but didn't totally wow me. I'd give it about a 3/5. Some of the burnt onion bits on top were extremely hard, almost like chewing on little pebbles. Customer service was really good. We only waited about 15 mins in line to get these delicious bagels! We got a couple to eat fresh and some to bring home. I tried the green onion cream cheese, jalapeño cream cheese, tomato basil and cheese, everything bagel, garlic cream cheese, and a blueberry croissant. On social media, I heard about Miopane's "Taiwanese-style" bagels and their maple green onion croissants, and it caught my attention. The restaurant had their soft opening at the beginning of the month and the buzz from this place has been crazy. For this reason, we woke up early to be there when they opened at 8am. I arrived at 7:45 to a line of about 30 people waiting for the opening. As we approached the restaurant, there was the inviting smell of butter, that beckoned to us from down the street. The wait was significant and they were constantly restocking their breads. What brought us here was the possibility of trying their maple glazed green onion croissant. Was a little worried as they were not in stock when we came in at 8:15; however, we noticed that they restocked it as we approached the register and we snagged one that was still warm from the oven. This is the thing to get here as it's savory, creamy from cheese, and mildly sweet from the caramelized maple on the croissant. It was the best bite of the morning; however, unfortunately, they sell out faster than they can restock it. We also got a pesto ricotta chorizo croissant, which reminded us of a pizza, and it was also pretty good. I definitely wanted to try their bagels. My wife got black sesame, which she enjoyed. I got a gouda everything bagel, which was lightly filled with cheese. The bagels are served whole and they have a good chew and bite; however, what's unique about them is that it seems that all of their bagels have some sort of sweet, savory, or cheesy filling. We visited this small cafe on a Saturday afternoon for the first time and were impressed with the bagels. Since our visit was after the morning peak time, there wasn't a line. The former tasted amazingly garlicky with a great schmear. I thought the latter was solid, and the matcha flavor came from the crumbles themselves. I've been wanting to try Miopane for ages now since I saw it blow up on social media. I finally found the time to try it on a Wednesday afternoon at 1pm. It's a pretty big spot for a bakery. There's paid parking on the side of the street but beware that the ones directly next to the store is 15 minutes only and requires payment. They manage their traffic very well! There's a sign posted in front of the door that lets you know that you have to wait until someone calls you over to take your order. There's a transparent glass that displays all the pastries they have available. My group unfortunately did go too late and they were sold out of their most popular items. I order 6 pastries and the total came out to be about $50. The woman that helped us out was so nice and patient as we were deciding what we wanted to order. The pastries that I got to try were green onion sour cream bagel, matcha crumble, tiramisu crossiant, blueberry crossiant, and roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar. Ratings: Roasted Tomato with Herbs and Cheddar (8/10): This one tasted like a pizza! There's a combination of sundried tomatoes and fresh tomatoes along with baked in cheese in the middle. This one would be a get again for sure. Tiramisu Crossiant (7/10): There's a brownie in the middle with some sort of chip mixed in! That was a surprise! As they are still sort of in a soft opening phase, the doors didn't actually open until around 0810. Word of caution as the line moves pretty slow as there were only 2 staff members helping customers with baked items and only 1 cashier that places each item into a bag. They are currently limiting each guest to only 1 of each item but you are allowed to purchase as many baked goods as you like. To keep the display case filled, they do take time to restock with freshly baked items. As I was heading to my parents, I ended up buying a variety of items for us to try (mix of sweet and savory bagels and danishes). Can't remember all of them items I purchased but there were definitely some really good and some mediocre items. We got lucky!!! Line was short when we arrived. There was about 5 people in front of us which is really good considering their lines can be really long. They had a guy ( I think was the manager) who was super friendly and thanked the customers for patiently waiting. He asked if it was our first time and gave us the run through on how the ordering process worked. He also was able to check the avialbity of certain breads that we wanted. The breads are truly unique. Some flavors that you think doesn't good well like the green onion croissant was delicious! We were lucky to get one of those and tried other flavors. What a better way to celebrate my 300th review than by sharing an experience of a very new place that opened just on New Year's Day. Miopane has been welcome with lines around the corner each morning so far. Walking out with their bag automatically draws others' attention to ask if the wait was worth it. So... was it? Overall, in the bites I was lucky enough to score-- Yes. Ironically, we got nothing we hoped to actually try except for one! Which was the maple glazed green onion croissant. Here's the thing with Miopane: The wait is long and the items go quick. If you intend to go there in expectation of getting exactly what you want from the menu, you will unfortunately be going in with disappointment. Why? Because they can literally only bake and display so many things to meet the ongoing demand of the lines. What we ordered: Double cheese, maple green onion, and an upside down sticky bun. Moral of going to a new, on-trend bakery and cafe is to be spontaneous in what you order. If you're very set at getting what you want, come early or maybe let the line fizzle out a bit. It'll give them more time to get more goodies baking in the oven! For not getting to try everything we hoped we would, the items we got were pretty stand out. The newest bagel place in town has gone viral, and I had to try it! I waited around 2 hours on a Saturday morning (got there around 8:15am). The line moves pretty slowly, and you are limited to 4 unique pastries per person (no repeats allowed). My favorites were the more savory options like the green onion croissant and everything bagel with Gouda bagel. Unfortunately, they have limited stock and the items you want may be sold out until the next batch when it's your turn. There's some seating inside, but it feels pretty tight because it's so busy inside. I recommend taking it to go. read more

My friend and I got the blueberry cream cheese and matcha crumble bagels as well as matcha lattes. The bagels were very good especially the matcha crumble which was still warm, almost tasted like a matcha pineapple bun to me. The blueberry cream cheese was also good but not amazing. The matcha latte was too sweet for me, not sure if they can do it unsweetened. The line was a bit long but actually went by pretty fast. Service was nice and friendly. Came on a Saturday morning ~9:30 and the wait was about 35-40min. Luckily it wasn't very sunny but the workers told me they hand out small umbrellas for people waiting in line which is so thoughtful of them. There is still a 4 item limit per person I believe. Scallion croissant- my fav. Probably bc I'm biased towards croissants but I really liked the savory- sweet combo. The croissant was perfectly crispy on the outside. Gouda bagel and everything egg croissant- both delicious but nothing too special imo Sesame bagel- not too sweet, I enjoyed it Jalapeño cheddar bagel (not pictured)- probably my second favorite. Had a kick and the flavors were on point. I really like how all the bagels were baked with the fillings inside. It makes them more airy and each bite felt very balanced not to mention less messy. If it wasn't for the wait, I would come here more often. Definitely worth trying. Can't speak on if it's worth the wait since everyone's tolerance is different and the wait times seem to vary a lot. read more

I came to Miopane two separate times, once on a weekday and on a Saturday. I'm not sure if it's a weekend thing or the new bakery hype dying down but the wait was only 15 minutes when I came on Friday and 30 minutes on Saturday which was much more bearable compared to the first few weeks they opened. The first time I came I tried all savory bagels, including the jalapeño cheddar, burnt onion, triple cheese, and sour cream and onion. The highlights of the savory bagels were the jalapeño cheddar and the triple cheese. The second time I came was time for the sweet bagels. I got the mango, matcha, blueberry cream cheese, and the strawberry shortcake. The mango and matcha were definitely the highlights! I would recommend the matcha crumble if anyone is a fan of matcha. The blueberry cream cheese and the strawberry shortcake were a bit disappointing and didn't have much special to it. Overall, Miopane is a modern and comforting addition to the Pasadena area and I would go back! read more

Got here on Sunday right after opening and my friend waited about an hour. We got a variety of things but the favorite was the maple scallion croissant. We also enjoyed the strawberry and blueberry bagels. While we were eating there - more bagels were coming out that weren't available for us purchase. It truly depends on when you get there and what you can get. Everything was warm aside from the egg pasty when we got it. I also go the matcha pillow and enjoyed it. read more

I have been to Miopane three times now. As someone who usually doesn't repeat bakeries, this is rare. My all-time favorite is their bagel with Roasted Herbs, Cheese, and Tomato. The Black Sesame Bagel and Focaccia Sandwich are good choices as well. I recommend going on a late weekday morning/afternoon for the shortest wait time. There are some baked goods that I would skip, but this place is solid overall. read more
