Bageloo is located in the strip adjacent to Vons across from Huntington Hospital. I was looking for something after an early morning PT appointment. The people were very nice and welcoming. The shop itself is very small and didn't feel very cozy to me. Not a place I'd want to linger. The coffee was excellent. And order communicated to a person in the back and brought out to me. Their pastry selection seemed very limited and did not seem to be made in house. I did have an almond croissant that was fresh and nice. They are easy to find in a what can be a busy plaza. There can be plenty of parking depending what time you go, so those are pluses. Overall though, the place was a let down. I was so excited to finally try them after seeing a lot of hype on social media and reading reviews too. I tried to order the new Salmon Roe bagel. I also saw it advertised on the counter. After I ordered, the cashier went to the back, and I overheard her asking who I assumed makes the bagels, if they knew how to make the new bagel. Then she came back and said, it's actually unavailable right now and removed the little advertisement on the counter I saw. I was confused, but I don't think she knew I heard her entire conversation. But I was understanding and gave benefit of the doubt that they were underprepared versus just didn't want to make it... So, I went ahead and ordered 2 lox instead, one on the squid ink bagel. It was nothing special, and way too expensive. The squid ink just tasted like a regular bagel that has been colored, in my opinion. The salmon and tomato felt fresh and was okay, but it's something I could have definitely made at home, especially with that price. It was very underwhelming for what's advertised. It just felt like straight up cream cheese. I haven't tried the other location but I'm hoping it's a better experience than this. read more

This place has been open since June of this year. I just happen to see it as I was going to the bank. I was hungry, so I ordered a cinnamon-raisin bagel with egg and bacon. It was very hot and fresh. Nice big portion of a sandwich. I also, tried the tea chai that was delicious. Service was very good and it's a cool inside. Has a nice view of everything. I really can't justify coming here anymore... it was $6.70 for an everything bagel and scallion cream cheese and it barely had any cream cheese. I always ask for it double toasted but it's somehow never toasty? I asked for it open faced, it wasn't open faced.. it's just expensive and never consistent. read more

Seriously, this bagel shop is in its own lane. These bagels are balanced, chewy and dense, with a slight crispy crust. The best L.A bagel I've ever had. Good bagel places are seldom in Pasadena. This one is ok though but it feels very understaffed at both this location and Diamond Bar. It's a small spot and it wasn't busy when I arrived. Right after I ordered, a line formed. I had an easy experience with the server but I watched her get completely overwhelmed with phone orders, orders coming coming out wrong and constantly checking with the kitchen. I'm grateful my order came out correct and was out within a 10 min time window. And my lox bagel was good so it's still 4 stars experience. Tried it for the first time and the bagel sandwiches were so delicious! We got the breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg, cheese) on cheddar jalapeño and the BLT on sesame. The bagels were light, fluffy, and perfectly toasted. I didn't feel bad eating them like I would with other bagels. The fillings were generous and well done! The bacon was so crispy. Decided to try again to get these bagels because I am on a restricted diet and since these bagels have no preservatives and such, it's the best for my dietary needs. Decided to make it at 7:30am, 30 mins after it open to ensure they had the variety I wasn't able to purchase the last time due to no inventory on most flavors. I was able to get one of all the ones I wanted but I would have to say.... At 7:30am. There was some bagels that were only two on the shelf. Let's get to the bagels itself. Light, fluffy and best when toasted! The squid ink and the beet wasn't as flavorful as I would have thought since they used those ingredients in the mix. Everything bagel hit all the notes, the plain and whole wheat will definitely be repeats on my list. Still have to try the jalapeño cheddar and the blueberry. Would not recommend the fried chicken one though - looked like a frozen Tyson patty in between the bagel. 1 Star - Disappointing and Unprofessional I had a very disappointing experience at this bagel shop. My food was prepared incorrectly, the egg was supposed to be sunny side up but it clearly looked raw with runny egg white and was cold it was not properly cooked. When I politely asked if it could be fixed, the staff flat-out said no.There was no apology, no attempt to make it right, and no concern for customer satisfaction. He just went on saying he had already use his product that if I wanted to have it  over medium I  would have to pay again for the dish. In this case, the response was dismissive and  unprofessional.  I won't be returning, and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who expects basic courtesy or accountability when something goes wrong. read more

Bageloo is a Korean bagel shop. They advertise that they make their bagels with cabbage, which you cannot taste at all. Unlike other bagels that emphasize chew, the bagel texture is soft but very enjoyable in a sandwich. You can squish it down for biting ease. I came on Grand Opening day and snagged a cloth tote bag. We like their breakfast sandwiches, which include ample amounts of egg omelette. The ham is a little skimpy so we like the sausage a bit more. The lox was also really generously portioned. They don't bake the bagels on-site. They are baked at the other location and delivered here, so when they run out, they are out. That said, if you arrive later in the morning, loose bagels will more than likely be sold out. read more

The bagels on displayed all looked very light and soft. They are advertised as no preservatives added and 100% VEGAN, which is fantastic. I got the jalapeño cheese bagel which had a lite hint of jalapeño but can't really taste it. The venue is small and clean. If eating in, there's sitting spots for up to 9 guests at a time. What a strange experience. Decent bagel, weird business. I grew up in the NYC area and have been looking for a place to get my bagels and leave a half dozen in the freezer for home. When I walk in, it feels like an airport shop, and yet it's $6.50 for a bagel with cream cheese ($4 for cream cheese? Sure, it's LA and 2025, but weird for the vibe). For a casual, average place, egg sandwich options are pricey at $13 and only options are sausage or ham; no bacon? Lastly, they toasted a bagel with cream cheese by default without asking. A good bagel needs no toasting, but I get that's the thing in California. Would have liked being asked. Then they swapped the wrong bagels for me and my wife's order. The bagel itself was fairly redeeming, 3.5/5, though not classic. It was very light, with a thin shell. I actually liked it, even though it was not my go-to chewy, shelled bagel. Not 3x better than a grocery store bakery aisle bagel though. Overall strange experience. I won't crave coming back or eat in-person again, but maybe I'd come back for a few for the freezer. read more

We walked to this bagel shop which is in a shopping center with a parking lot across from the hospital. There was limited inside/outside seating but it's pretty "grab and go" so that was fine. They offer coffee and breakfast/lunch bagel sandwiches. It seems like they have a good amount of foot traffic since they are near the hospital and bunch of shops. The bagels are fresh and have a soft/chewy texture. I'd like to go back to get a few fresh bagels and cream cheese. I did notice they only had a few bagel flavors to choose from but I'm not sure if that's due to it being popular and sold out or if they only make a few flavors a day. I was craving bagels, so we discovered this hidden gem tucked away in the same shopping center as Vons. I ordered the squid ink bagel with cream cheese, while my husband opted for the classic BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) on an everything bagel, paired with a cup of coffee. The bagels were perfectly soft and delightfully chewy. I only wish mine had been toasted a bit more, but even so, it was absolutely delicious. This spot just had it's grand opening three weeks ago and I hope it remains in the neighborhood! What earns this place a 5 stars for me? In my books, it's all about service. It could easily get 4 stars because the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was fresh and filling, the everything bagel was fluffy and not dense, we got our food fast, and while the inside of the place isn't fancy, it was clean. The pricing of their menu seemed fair. Plus, it's in a shopping mall so there's plenty of parking. But it was the service! I'm bummed now I didn't get her name, but whoever was manning the register was kind, attentive, and helpful to other customers who had a to-go order. And I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure she overheard my husband lamenting that he didn't order the potato salad, and then a small taster side showed up with our order. It was great. The avocado with fried egg on a sesame bagel was great! The fried egg over medium was done just right - not too runny and not too cooked. The avocado was the right ripeness. The sesame bagel had the unique texture that was soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The small side of potato salad that came with it had nice chucks of red potato had a nice umami flavor. The service was friendly. I was there after 10:00am so most of the bagels were gone. I got a squid ink bagel with lox and cream cheese to go. I have been here in the past and enjoyed the bagel sandwiches. I stopped here yesterday before work and to order a bagel sandwich I was on a bit of a time constraint and the lady was very kind to inform me my sandwich would take some time. I asked how long she went to speak with the cook and he proceeded to say he couldn't say because he was already cooking two sandwiches prior. She came out and told me about 20 min I kindly asked if I could cancel my order and just get a plain bagel, apologized and stated I would use order ahead next time. She went back to inform the cook and I could clearly hear this man complaining stating how he already started (when he could not give a time prior) proceeded to say how they are not McDonald's, I could clearly hear everything! Customer service is REAL WEIRD. They took forever to make 3 simple bagels. I dont think they have people working here who know how to make the food they sell since we could hear someone in the back explaining to another employee how to put cream cheese on a bagel. Perfect normalness with spunky options is you're feeling adventurous (pink beet and squid black ink). Be forewarned, the bagels are made in small batches everyday. When they're sold out, they're out. I visited the shop yesterday around 11AM and they only had four bagels left. I had the opportunity to chat with the owner today. We chatted it up about how he came to making bagels. What I learned is that this is a father-son passion project. During travels to China and New York, they learned new ways to make bagels, they experimented, and eventually landed on their unique way of making bagels. They integrate cabbage water into the dough making process, which contributes to the softness and chewy texture of the final product. I don't fully understand the specifics of this, but sounds cool!
