We used the Too Good To Go App on Sunday night and we were excited for our surprise, but while we were waiting the pepperoni pizza was speaking to V, so I ordered him a slice. I noticed they had a gluten free bagel on the menu but wasn't in the mood for anything at the time. Kid was pleased with his slice. I was happy about the service and cleanliness of the spot. It was a nice touch to see Highland Park done like the subway in NYC. It made me feel reminiscent. 4 stars for not bad bagels. Also an important member of the community for sustainability. 0 stars for the $10 tub of salmon lox spread that was clearly spoiled and sour to taste. I called there business to confirm if the spread is supposed to taste this way and they doubled down saying yes instead of admitting they made a mistake. My tongue is still numb from the spread while I'm writing this review. Great spot on York ave that I have been curious about for a while. Yesterday my man and I were out shopping and decided to stop here for a quick bite. The service is top notch. They are super sweet and accommodating to your needs. The menu is large with many different options to choose from. I chose the breakfast special pizzette which is an egg on top of a bagel dough with bacon bits and they even had vegan cheese! My man got the breakfast egg sandwich which he absolutely loved as well! The food is delicious, the service was quick, and the employees were friendly and kind. However, I wouldn't recommend Bagel + Slice to anyone who is allergic to nuts. Unfortunately, my boyfriend suffered an allergic reaction today while eating his chorizo breakfast sandwich. It looked like it had some kind of pesto on it, which was not listed on the menu. We've eaten here multiple times and he's had that sandwich before with no issues. Since nuts are a fairly common allergy, I hope the restaurant updates their menu to clearly list nuts as an ingredient in order to keep their customers safe. read more

Tasty bagel place at York! They also sell pizza here but I haven't gotten the chance to try em yet. I got their Egg Sandwich with an Iced Pistachio Matcha Latte. The egg sandwich was absolutely fantastic and I will def be back to try more of their bagels. The open faced bagels looked so yummy too. Their drinks are already premade in the morning and are in dispensers. I asked them and the pistachio matcha latte is made with oat milk and agave. I'd give the latte a 3/5, but I may be biased since I wasn't a big fan of pistachio. The service is great and everyone is friendly. You order inside, and you can pick it up by the counter or by the window outside. They've got tables available outside. Parking was also fairly easy with plenty of street parking available. Originally meant to go to a different bagel spot but that location was sold out of bagels and found this immediately down the street. And it was honestly a great surprise! Super casual spot on the corner and lots of street residential parking nearby. The lady at the cashier was helpful and other workers were nice when giving us our order. They also have "All Gender" restroom in the back which is nice to see for everyone. My friend and I have been on a bagel mission so this was our 5th spot to check out in LA. She ordered the Superfresh on an everything bagel with vegan cream cheese and I got the Goldilox on a poppy bagel and they were pretty fresh and delicious. Wish there were more contents/portions though as it seemed like only a small portion of the salmon for my Goldilox. But the bagel was at least not too chewy or thick so that was good. Another thing is it's pretty pricey here but I'd definitely come back to try the pizza stuff on the menu! read more

I am now officially an open face bagel sandwich girly! Both the Goldilox and Superfresh bagels had their highlights. I especially loved the fresh and sweet heirloom tomatoes from the Superfresh bagel. Goldilox had good quality lox complimented by that lemon olive oil. Bagels had my preferred texture of being doughy and toasted just fine. They also have scallion cream cheese, which is super good.
