    Minute Chicken w/Cake Noodle
    Rod K.

I've been here many times and the food is always on point... but, there was one time I had some roast duck cake noodle and halfway through I found a fried moth ‍ I've seen a lot worse from other places needless to say, I threw out the moth and finished my plate ‍. Like I said earlier, their food is always on point and I've been back a couple of times since and so far it's been all good. Oh and the portions are huge! Good bang for your buck!

Early lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... I've been to Mini Garden restaurant on Beretania Street. I think I even went to Mini Garden Express when it was at 99 Moanalua. This location seems like it was the business in Moanalua... they had to move because a big chain store took its place. Mini Garden Express shares its free parking lot with Joe's Grill Express near the airport. It's a casual spot with no air-conditioning. The doors are left open for ventilation. Service is very friendly. The female cashier seems to be the owner. She doesn't charge a credit card fee because it's unfair to the customer. Thank you! I ordered wor wonton soup. There were many dumplings and lots of veggies! There were a couple of shrimp, pieces of cha Siu, and chicken! Wow! I liked that the soup was packaged separately from the dumplings, meats, and veggies! Prevent mushy food and blandness! I was thinking about getting more food for takeout, but I'll just return another day!

Mini Garden was my goto eatery when they were at 99 Ranch ,then Moanalu 99. It was nice that one of the ladies remembered me. We ordered the #21 plate. Which consisted of chicken, char sui, and vegetables on fried noodles. also came with four pieces of gau gee . The gau gee was lacking flavor. The rest of the dish was spot on. We had a side order of spring rolls. This was very good. Also took a half roast duck home for dinner. It was pretty good. There is seating for dine in. As we were eating Inoticed that most of the orders take-out were take-out. Enjoy

I just arrived and was hungry! That makeshift egg McMuffin that was served on my flight just wasn't cutting it...LOL! On this Facebook food group I belong to, someone mentioned Mini Garden, and since I knew where it was, it was a no brainer! The woman working was really nice and patient! I told her it was my first time and I didn't know what to get because it all looked good! She asked what I was in the mood for and I said noodles. She recommended #21, Gau gee mixed mien. So there was chicken, shrimp, and char siu with mixed vegetables all over crispy noodles. Of course. with the gravy, those noodles became soft. Man oh man...this really hit the spot! I just started grinding! A medium fruit punch, and it's fountain but no refills. Five tables inside, most of the diners were singles. I just grabbed an empty table and ate. All the women were friendly, and came to check on me. Definitely worth checking out either arriving, departing, or because it's good! Mahalo Mini Garden!

Wonton and char siu noodles. Brought back memories from my childhood.

Good Chinese food. Hong Kong style wonton soup noodles and classic Chinese stir fry. Fast and friendly service. Not a lot of seating. Still great place for takeout.

These guys was in 99 ranch before became a Home Depot, anyway they are more towards airport area and the food is still fire, we got egg fu yung, shrimp canton, tofu and eggplant and the beef broccoli on crispy noodles! Everything was delicious and filled what we was Ono for! Service is fast and friendly, Definitely be back!

Casual restaurant serving local and Chinese favorites. Few tables for dine in but most of the orders are takeout. Do expect to wait since everything is made to order. Best to call in orders ahead. I had the Combination Plate with Ginger Chicken and Roasted Pork. Portion size is generous however it's mostly rice. The Chom Sum Noodles with chicken was good amount of vegetables but the flavor and taste was a bit bland for me. The service was nice, the lady even gave me a free soup with my order. I'll return and to try something else on the menu Edit: Went back on the same week and tried the Roast Duck with Cake Noodles and the Minutes Chicken with Crispy Noodles.

Tried this place for the first time today and I originally ordered the crispy pork chops but when I saw the picture in the wall I realized it was anything similar to Sal and pepper pork chops so I changed my order to char soy and roast pork on fried rice. I paid about $17 and the char siu was good. The roast pork could've been better half of the skin wasn't crispy and very chewy. But the meat tasted fine. So I give them only three stars this time around. This place has only been open a few months so I have to try more dishes.

My husband was looking for a place to eat and came across this Chinese fast food take out. Auntie Nadine C.went there just recently and ordered their wor won ton soup it looked good. So we decided to check it out. We didn't really wanted to eat soup though so we had their crispy gau gee mein on crispy noodles. Ordered spring rolls to eat there and roast duck to go for home. The crispy gau gee mein crispy noodles was good I thought would of had at least more than 1 shrimp lol...but they have lots of veggies and 2 piece char siu and 2 pieces chicken. The spring rolls was good. Now for the duck I'll post pictures later when we going eat it for dinner. Service was friendly and when we left the counter person said to my husband long time no see. She was working when this place was at Moanalua 99 ranch back in the days. Good to see you again. At least there is some booths to dine in with the air conditioning running. Or else it would be hot with only the fan running. Will go back to try something else

Mini Garden express has great food, original as I remember Mini Garden food to be Long past Covid, long passed their formula location at 99 Ranch market, they are now located on Nimitz Highway in the Nimitz Business Center This visit was my first visit to their new location. Menu the same, pricing, the same economical, food back to the original, great tasting mini gardens menu Service the same with the original Mini Garden owners. Parking in the business center, but if you go during prime lunchtime or prime dinner time it will be crowded so be prepared to scoot around and wait your turn to park Worth the wait! Worth searching for parking!

Shrimp won ton mein $10.95. Noodles have changed. Not thin noodle anymore. Thicker saimin curly noodle. 6 Shrimp won ton per order. Not Hong Kong style. First time at new Nimitz location.

I picked up 1/2 a Roast Duck for pops ($19.37 w/tax). Da Roast Duck was very meaty! Good DEALAGES!

I had to investigate this eatery called - "Mini Garden Express" after spyin' on my Yelp buddy - Ruby S.'s Boneless Chicken Congee & reading her AWESOME review! Located at the Airport Commercial Center, you can find Mini Garden Express tucked away in this small strip mall, not too far from the Daniel Inouye International Airport. I originally came here to buy some Roast Duck for my pops, as I noticed the wonderful competitive prices that Mini Garden Express had posted for their roast duck. After having a great experience buying the roast duck from Mini GardenExpress, I came back here a 2nd time to try their Boneless Chicken Choy Sum Chow Fun. What can I say about the grub? The Boneless Chicken Choy Sum Chow Fun was deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious! Lots of meeeeeeeeeeat & Vegetables folded in a flavorful gravy on chow Fun. I would definitely come back here, just to eat this dish again. As for the Roast Duck, I noticed they used a very meaty duck, but I have to honestly say I've tasted better marinades from roast duck I've purchased in Chinatown. Overall, it was a solid "4.5" in my book, but I will round it up to a "5" for the fast friendly service!

Went here since they were at 99 Ranch and their roast duck and fried rice was always really good. I enjoyed their roast pork with choy sum plate too, and their food always brings back nostalgia. Quick service, can dine-in or takeout, and free parking. Good local business!

The steak quesadilla is really good, has a nice char to the meat, filling is packed with steak n' cheese, easy enough to share, salsa that comes on the side is spicy; a lil' goes a long way. The mixed taco is yuMmmy n' loaded with 2 good size pieces of fried fish n' 2 large fried shrimp. The textures are crispy from the beer batter n' crunchy from the slaw. Have been meaning to check out this spot for a minute but just hadn't been able to until today…read more I stopped by here at 11am on Saturday after a hike. It was "crowded" in that there is a very limited dining area and out door seating area. We managed to snag a table by asking another couple if they were using both of their tables which were put together. Fortunately they weren't. If you're outside, it's also super loud because of the traffic. Probably goes without saying but if you're on a first date or whatever perhaps not the most ideal spot. So we stood in line. Make sure to grab a menu while you're there if you don't have it pulled up on your phone. I ordered fish taco (singular)...i guess they don't do three for whatever like many other places do. That's fine. My date ordered the Tostada de Atun (tuna). And then I ordered a 16oz ceviche to go. I guess I assumed the ceviche would be fish, but i think it's shrimp. Everything was tasty, especially the ceviche. If it was regular fish ceviche, it would have been 20/10. I'm not a huge fan of shrimp and it was still a solid 9/10. The fish taco was fine, if a bit under seasoned. And I think my date enjoyed her tostada. Would totally recommend this place to anyone.

From the outside, it is a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that fool you. This is by far the best sushi spot on Oʻahu. It is on the pricier side, but the quality and freshness make it well worth it. Everything we ordered was authentic, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. My favorite was the toro nigiri, rich and buttery, and it melts in your mouth. The service was great and I am already looking forward to my next visit!

There is something deeply confusing about Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar…read more Not bad confusing.Worse. Identity-crisis confusing. Because the fish?Excellent. Cold, clean, glistening with that dangerous little shimmer that tells you somebody in the supply chain actually cared. You can taste the quality immediately. The kind of quality that silences a table for half a second. And credit where it is due: almost everything I tried ranged from very good to genuinely great. But then the room begins speaking. And suddenly the spell breaks. The atmosphere feels like someone took a serious sushi counter, stripped away all sensuality, all elegance, all ritual, then dropped it inside a fluorescent island diner where exhausted civilians came to discuss parking validation and Costco receipts. It is the culinary equivalent of wearing a Rolex with orthopedic sneakers. The contradiction never stops humming beneath the experience. You sit there eating beautiful fish while surrounded by an energy that feels strangely... transactional. Heavy. Casual in the least flattering way. A room with no mystery. No seduction. No gravity. Like Zippy's accidentally wandered into the tuna trade and struck gold. And on an island like Oahu, where atmosphere matters almost as much as the fish itself that becomes a real problem. Because sushi is not merely consumption. It is theater.Restraint.Texture.Whispered precision. The best sushi spots on Oahu understand this instinctively. They understand that exceptional fish alone is not enough. You are paying for transportive experience. For mood. For elegance. For the feeling that the evening exists slightly outside ordinary life. At Mitch's, the fish reaches for Tokyo while the room drags you back toward a tired strip mall off the freeway. And then there's the crowd. Not evil people. Not rude people. Just an oddly low-rent energy orbiting genuinely premium seafood. The kind of room where one table is eating remarkable otoro while another feels one argument away from discussing used-car financing over soy sauce packets. It creates dissonance. Especially considering the prices. Because at those prices, you begin comparing the full experience not merely the fish quality and that is where Mitch's stumbles hard. There are multiple sushi spots across Oahu that equal or surpass the seafood while also delivering beauty, atmosphere, intimacy, and actual emotional texture. So what remains is this strange contradiction: Mitch's serves fish far above the dignity of its own ambience Which almost makes it fascinating. Would I be back - no . You can get same and better quality fish, much better vine, better part of town for the same Price.
