The champagne vinaigrette used on the toast is really what brought out the flavors and made it special, but one thing I think we all agreed on was that the homestyle potatoes were some kind of wonderful special perfection! The seasoning on the potatoes must have included a touch of dreaminess, because you will dream about these potatoes afterwards. The mimosa flight was good, but I could do without, maybe if they were colder it would've been better, but nothing that took away from the experience. I would go here more if it was closer to me. As we entered the location we were greeted by a host who was able to immediately seat us. The first place we sat was a little uncomfortable and when we asked to switch seating, they were very accommodating. We ordered the ratchet flight, green tomatoes and beignets for starters. If you do not like to taste your liquor, do not order the ratchet flight. It got its name for a reason, whew. For entrees we ordered the Philly melt and skillet, which were both delicious. The brunch here is very tasty! I visited in a group of 8, so we made a reservation ahead of time. I highly recommend making reservations because they are very popular. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful decor and art on the wall. It's very cute! Our waiter was very attentive. He moved very quickly, he checked on us frequently, and he was helpful at explaining the menu. We started with mimosas! I ordered the boujee mimosa. It was too sweet for my liking, and it comes with a sugar rim. The waiter said it's one of their more popular mimosas though. The main event--the food--came out rather quickly for a group as large as ours on a busy Friday morning. I ordered the Welton omelette without ham (substituted the ham for chicken sausage) and without cheese. Nothing was left on my plate! It was delicious!! The mimosa flavor options were vast so, I opted for two of the mimosa flights, "Savage Flight" and the "Ratchet Flight". The "Savage Flight" included a delicious Mimosa with grapefruit juice, róseand a cinnamon rim. That one was my favorite! Followed by the grapefruit mimosa in the "Ratchet Flight" that contained Cognac and sparkling wine. Overall, the food was good. Not the best but, still delicious. I'd like to begin by saying I'm easily pleased and rarely leave a poor review. I'm also a huge advocate for local venues, however, this was one of the worst culinary experiences I've encountered. It shocks me that this brunch spot has so many raving reviews. My friend insisted we explore a new part of town and found this highly-rated space in Five Points. We arrived around 1pm with hungry stomachs and an excitement for some early afternoon mimosas. We waited five minutes to be seated (even though the venue wasn't crowded) and sat outside without water or a waiter for about thirty minutes until I politely asked if we could be served. According to our waiter, the venue was a bit understaffed (although there were nearly nine male employees working and one female). Another party of two who was seated right before us had their drinks and meal prepared within twenty minutes (with the same waiter) which left us a bit irritated. We both got the Kokomo flight - the Pina Colada was pretty good, the Bellini purée was OK, and the third turned out to be a lemon drop shot. Not what we expected, but for $20 we drank them anyways. My friend didn't eat much of the grits due to the lack of flavor, and mentioned her steak was decent. My eggs were flavorless, the toast came without butter or toppings, and the bacon was dried out to the point where it was a flavorless crunch in my mouth. My personal total ended up around $45 for a subpar meal I could've made at home (and most likely will, in the future) and basically three "shots". I will NOT recommend this place to friends or out-of-town visitors and can suggest five other brunch venues in the vicinity off the top of my head that would be worth your money and, most importantly, time. read more

All of these lovey veggies with eggs sounded yummy in the menu... and a chicken sausage and potatoes/hash browns - I mean yeah! But, what I got there was no eating with my eyes first. The sausage was puny. This plate of food was nearly 20 dollars! That's nuts to me! When the server read off the side options when I ordered, like toast (boring!), I was excited when he said waffle. And glad a second time because I was still hungry after eating this power scramble thing (for 20 dang dollars). The waffle was good! And for Pete's sake is it LOUD IN THERE! My gosh my friend and I were at a two top, so small table, and literally shouting at each other and saying "huh?", "what?". That was the most annoying thing about the experience. Who wants to go to brunch or lunch and stress out their vocal chords? Or give themself a headache from shouting. So, for my experience the food was not a good value for the money nor appealing/plated well and the ambiance was way too loud for brunch/lunch or eating with people you actually want to speak to. They also has the door wide open and when you're sitting, not moving, not in the sun, it can get chilly. The wind was really whipping this day and they should have cracked it and asked guests if they were cold, for those seated directly in the wind. The place is cute, love the neighborhood. Server was good, menu in written word "sounded" good and had a nice variety. Not sure I'll go back though because I think there are better options with less negatives. I've never even heard of Mimosas until my friend had suggested that we go here for brunch. I was definitely surprised. It's such a cute brunch spot. Searching for a spot for Mother's day brunch is no easy task. There are so many restaurant options, but you have to reserve a spot like a month in advance. Sadly, a lot of places that I wanted to take my mom to were already booked so Mimosas seemed like the next best thing. The aesthetic was cute, the music was great and who doesn't love orange painted fruit on walls? I made the reservation for 2 p.m. outside as those were the only options lefts. I also want to add that a staff member from the restaurant called me to let me know that they wouldn't be able to accommodate sitting inside. Therefore, they said to bring blankets and whatever else to keep warm since it was supposed to be 48 degrees. How nice! Thankfully, the day turned out to be beautiful and none of that was needed, but the fact that they made the effort to call was really nice! Parking was easy to find as there were lots of meters and open spots and if you're lucky you can park right in front of the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, it was kind of awkward. We had to stand right in the middle of the restaurant to get checked in by the hostess and it took a while for her to notice us. Once she looked up my reservation she said that she thought they just gave away our table. She then headed outside to go and check, so we had to wait around some more. Luckily, the table wasn't taken, but who knows what would've happened if it was. The table was nice and we were covered from the sun, which was a plus. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come around. However, she was on top of the ball the rest of the time. For drinks, I ordered the savage flight to share with my mom. This flight comprised of the classy, boujee and ratchet. How fun is that? We both liked the ratchet the most, but all three were good and strong. There was a special menu for Mother's Day, but nothing caught my eye and since I am a chicken and waffle fanatic, of course I had to order that. The waffle was fluffy and honestly the best part of the meal. I wasn't a fan of the butter and the chicken also tasted weird. Eggs also came with the meal and there was no seasoning so they were pretty bland. My mom got the shrimp and grits which was flavorful and good. My sister ordered the pancakes and we all thought that something was off. We think it was the syrup, but are not sure. I felt that the prices were a tad high for what you get as well. The employees were also super lovely, and ambience was cute. Knocked a star due to a semi-serious cleanliness issue, which I think is good to flag - I know y'all were super busy and I'm not looking for anything spotless, but I was given a coffee cup with lipstick on it which was pretty gross. Our waitress was helpful with the menu and offering recommendations for breweries around the area for us to hit up after. A manager or owner also came by to check on us to ensure our food and everything else was good. They have fun unique mimosa flights to try like a coconut, grapefruit, lemonade in addition to some classic options. I really liked the grapefruit one. The service was good too and vibe was casual but trendy at the same time (we sat in the back patio). I always dislike when mimosas are more than $5 because, in my opinion, a good quality sparkling wine gets lost with orange juice, so no need to charge around $10 or more for a simple mimosa.
