TL:DR - Spicewood is the only location serving in person ramen. Ambience is cozy and low key. Food as tasted amazing, was fresh and staff was attentive to our needs. This dinner turned around my whole day and evening. Dinner: Jungle with diced chicken. Meat Lovers with pork Belly x2. 12 gyoza and mochi. I had a horrible day. You know the kind of day where work sucks and you bring it home with you (unintentionally) My husband and I decided to go out instead of cooking and cleaning. Our original restaurant was slammed. Instead we decided to visit an old favorite Michi. We went to the north Lamar location without realizing they are not serving food in person there. After some quick cursing and contemplation of fast food we decided to go to Spicewood Michi location because I was dressed nice and wanted something better then a hamburger. After arriving the person at the front greeted us warmly and told us the procedure. Place an order with her in the front and take you number and grab a seat. At first glance the seating area can seem a bit underwhelming. But as soon as we were seated the magic of the ramen market took over and felt very cozy and inviting. There are string lights that give the right vibe and it was very clean and neat. After our food arrived we quickly started to eat and all the memories of all our other Michi dinners came back. We talked and reminisced about all the time we had gone out and enjoyed together. The food tasted even better then I remembered. The diced chicken was tender and flavorful. The noddles had the perfect bite that made you just eat them faster then the soup. The broth was rich without being greasy. The gyoza was fantastic. Flavorful filling that had a crunchy bottom and steamed top. Overall if you want a date night at a neat location where you can talk to the people who make you food and are down to earth this is the place to eat. To anyone who loves the Lamar location and are apprehensive to going to there new one give it a shot! You will be so happy you did. read more

YES YES MOST DEFINITELY YES I ordered from this restaurant once through UberEats and it was delicious So finally after two months, I picked up in person and the staff was super friendly and I was given a sample ice cream. I loved my dish and my food was securely packaged So most definitely will be visiting soon read more

This place is awsome. Im so glad we now have a good ramen restaurant in this area! So far, my favorite is Sapporo but I will try all of them. read more

Food and service were great! Lots of different options, and the waiter was super helpful in explaining everything! Fast, friendly service, decent prices, and the food was delish! Make sure you ask for the 'spice bomb!' it's super good! read more

No better nor more healthy, tasty food can found this side of the Northwestern Milky Way. One portion of meat lovers with a few added ingredients such as corn, carrots, hot chili oil and bean sprouts provides you with a hot mean now and perfect leftover portion for later. Stout Miso sauce is the way to go, creamy and bursting with spices and flavor! read more

Add this place to your COVID takeout list! Ramen travels awesome! Ramen is packaged in two bowls... one with broth and another with everything else (nicely labeled also to make sure orders stay straight) Online ordering supported Apple Pay, so no hassle of entering info and making an account. Super easy. read more

It is not my go to Ramen restaurant, however, I have been to both locations - Lamar and Anderson Mill on many occasions. Every time I go it has been consistent - it has been good - enjoyable experience. The. broth is nice, thick, flavorsble with several choices and the portion sizes decent. My favorite place to go is Tatsuya, but this runs a close second - and is closer to where I am so the convenience factor weighs in as well. I will continue to go back for some good Ramen at a decent oroce point. read more

The ramen here is very good. I have asked, at times, for no noodles and extra veggies and they always accommodate. I recommend this place.

I just keep coming back to this place for whatever reason (probably because it's not far from my house) and I need to just...stop. Every time I've come I've let disappointed and I picked up take out and it was no different. The broth just isn't super flavorful and there is a small piece of pork belly and just for $18 for a bowl of ramen - it should just be way better. I want to love this place so bad and I just can't. I would suggest going elsewhere. read more

My favorite thing about the ramen from Michi is that I can substitute 2 ajitama for the char shu. The char shu is good but the ajitama is amazing. My takeout order is always well packaged with the broth separate from the noodles (very important!) and hot to warm by the time I get home - I live 6 minutes away. read more

Amazing ramen! Their pork belly is the bomb and you can customize your ramen effortlessly. Great for takeout and well priced, we'll definitely come here again. read more

I really tried, I went to the Burnet location and i was disappointed, so decided to give it another try to this new location... wrong... I should have known, Walking in the music was way of with the establishment ambiance... Service wa great and they really tried.. but they just couldn't get it right... Food was mediocre, didn't get the order right for a couple of times, place was filthy... got a cockroach crawling next to my feet. I pointed it out to manager and she just stepped on in and got a napkin in front of us and got it out of the way... gross! then she blamed it on the outside and the heat and businesses next door! I order a side hot sauce for my Ramen and got charged for it! I have been in many places where spicy comes with it.... Anyway.. very bad experience and food.. I will not recommend and I WILL NOT be back ever read more

Excellent! Picked up for dinner and was not disappointed! Kinda of made my own bowl with a spicy robust broth that was outstanding! No wait, friendly staff, too bad we camt dine-in read more

Honestly this is the best ramen I've had in Austin. It's a small corner location never super crowded and the service and food has always been great. I was skeptical ordering take out only because I prefer ramen in person but everything turned out great. The burnt ends both pork and chicken are wonderful. We always get the meat lovers but i prefer the thicker broth over the normal. So good! Hope they are around awhile! read more

Skip the Sapporo ramen...it was not flavorful and had no miso flavor whatsoever. Definitely try the Michi ramen! The broth was very good and tasty...so much so that my daughter finished all of the broth! read more

We tried this place yesterday and couldn't have been more disappointed. The employee seemed stressed and the food was horrible Due to covid-19 they are only taking to go order, so we can only judge on the quality of the food and the short experience with the employee behind the counter(not the best impression) We paid extra for few toppings that were not added to the order. The ramen was unusually hard - almost al dente, and the broth was flavorless I ordered a veggie ramen and could barely see any veggie. The food made me sick and regretful of having even tried this place. The worst in town that I am aware of. Do NOT recommend read more

This place might be a problem for our family since we're already addicted. My husband is hard to please, add that to two kids and it's rare to find somewhere we all like. We finally made it in and ordered to go. At first we were frustrated that it took 15 minutes to get our food, but when we tasted it we knew it was worth the wait. Given we're all ramen novices we all built our own bowls. They were all different and equally delish. The meat and broth was all super flavorful, and we got their burnt ends app which were also on point. If you're ordering to go I'd suggest online or calling it in, otherwise be patient, it's worth it! Can't wait to go back! read more

I ordered the veggie ramen. Service was quick and great. The ramen was delicious. The soul was flavorful and the noodles had a nice bit to them read more

Great flavor, and nice customer service! I ordered pick-up the other night, and they were running behind their quote (estimated time for completion) by about 15 mins. They were so nice about it - threw in some free mochi ice cream for my extended wait. We'll be back! read more

Ordered the Burnt Pork, Meat Lover's Ramen & Sapporo Ramen to-go! Everything was so delicious and packed with care! Definitely ordering again soon! read more

Ramen was over-salty, and thus overpriced because of the salt level. Sent back some chicken for that reason. Waitress left mid-meal because she didn't like our complaining about the chicken, presumably. We were polite otherwise, and a nice gentleman came to finish waiting on us. Flavor wasn't anything special, probably won't be back. read more

The service is amazing but the food is disappointing. Spicy oil doesn't seem to add any spice and the broth was pretty bland. You can definitely get better ramen for the same price. read more

My wife and I were excited to have a ramen place open just outside our neighborhood, so we went and checked it out. Plenty of parking available. Staff was friendly and helpful explaining the menu. Portions were big which I guess would justify the price, $40 for two bowls and a side/appetizer. But we felt the food was average. Broth was bland and didn't excite the palette. Sat heavy in your stomach, maybe grease from the pork. We left pretty underwhelmed and probably won't go back. Just hate giving bad reviews on yelp so I left 4 stars. read more

Great ramen in Austin. Never had a bad meal here. Service has always been good and the food top notch.

Excellent food and service. Each location has different appetizers which is neat. My favorite ramen in Austin.

Called for takeout at 1pm on a Tuesday. One hour wait no thank you. Ate in restaurant one time before and it was just okay.

Honestly the food was decent. This was my fourth time in. The service was horrible. I guess you have to be someone special to get good treatment. I wasn't even finished ordering my food before the server walked away. She appeared to be the manager too. Sad. My dishes were dirty with dried food on them as well. I couldn't get out a sentence before she kept dismissing me. No thanks. There are other places close by. I hate bad service!! read more

This place is great! Best Ramen I have had in Austin and i have been to a few places.

It was ok. Not terrible but not great. Also, once we got our food, the waiter never came back to our table until we were completely done (not even a drink refill). read more

This place wasn't good at all I'm sorry. The noodles were hard. Seems like they were sitting there. The broth was extremely creamy. The chicken was over-seasoned as well. We had to ask for our waters twice and to bring extra plates when they should for the appetizer. I paid 30$ and wasn't even worth it. We should have taken a first bite and talked to the manager and walked out. read more

A fantastic neighborhood gem! Absolutely delicious!! Our server Shelby was a delight and very patient as she explained the menu and different ingredients. Can't wait to make this a regular stop! read more

We have waited so long for Michi Ramen to open for dine in. It was great! We visited the new location on Spicewood and it was a wonderful surprise. The place not only has inside dining but a small market with a decent selection. As always, the ramen was great, made right and broth was full of flavor (husband and son had two bowls). Great service and friendly staff. The best part, we did not have to drive downtown. Love ramen from this place! read more

So happy this is up here. NW Austin is on the come up. Michi cemetery that. Awesome food and a solid staff. Only complaint: they need more servers so they can have better hours. Go work there. read more

Great ramen, not too fatty, great service and price, fresh food, good toppings, flavorful broth.

Ramen was delicious! Although it took a while for my take-out to be ready (I waited for 30 minutes past the pickup time), I received a call of apology from the peraon who made my order This will be our go-to ramen from now on. read more

This place is the freaking tits! So happy they opened up a location up north! Michi is my go to ramen place!

Was so excited to try this new ramen place but was extremely underwhelmed. Probably one of the worst ramen I've ever had and I've had a lot. Super disappointed especially with all of the great reviews. Also had to ask twice for a refill so not the greatest customer service either. read more
