Fantastic experience. Great food and service. Lovely setting. Restaurant has a tasting menu option with wine pairing but this needs to be booked in advance.

We were warmly greeted and taken great care of by Amy. The menu was wonderful. We started with gold oesetra caviar, which was absolutely perfect. Their crème fraîche was delicious, as were the blinis. Next, we moved onto oysters, of which were shucked perfectly, and could not have been any more delicious. Then we ordered the bone in strip steak, also delicious, with a side of mushrooms and potatoes. The only thing that was just OK. I would say come over the potatoes. Everything else was perfect. Very much enjoyed and highly recommend.

Oysters (amazing) Beef Wellington (also amazing) This chocolate tort was also next level.

This is a mixed review. First the service. If you go this restaurant ask to be seated in Mehgan's section. She was wonderful, informative and excellent in any way you would ask a server to be.. simply the best we can remember. The food - mixed. The oysters were amazing, fresh and tasty, The wine (recommended by Meghan, was also very good) My entree the special beef wellington was excellent and I typically do not order this type of meal preparation. My wife had swordfish and it was simply not that good, for whatever reason it came out bland and just disappointing - especially when compared to everything else we enjoyed. The dessert was also delicious. To summarize, every place has an occasional miss. The swordfish here was that miss. We will give Michael's a try when we visit again.

Went to the new location for Michael's and we were very pleased. We were greeted very warmly at the hostess stand and shown to our table. To our surprise we we given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine as we cleaned our hands with the warm towels. They had a number of specials so for a starter we went with the monchango cheese and caviar. Both were delicious and left us wanting more. I ordered steak for my meal and my husband ordered the branzino. Both delicious and filling. We decided to order Tawny wine for dessert. We each tried a different one and both loved the pours we got. Definitely will be back. They have such beautiful paintings on the walls adding to the charm of the restaurant. It's a very warm and inviting space.

We had a delicious meal last night celebrating our 51st anniversary. They greeted us with a "Happy Anniversary". As we were seated our waiter, Ryan, came by to acquaint us with the menu. A few minutes later he came by with a complimentary glass of champagne. We then placed our orders. My husband had a special starter for the evening of smoked salmon tartines - absolutely delicious. I had a beet salad which had a large amount of beets and was great. For our mains, I had the steak Diane and my husband had a 16 oz ribeye which was cooked to perfection. While my steak Diane was very good, they didn't cook it table side and flambé it prior to serving it to me (which I've had done other places). Next time I'll order the filet mignon. Both were accompanied by mashed potatoes. There was wonderful music playing when we first arrived and at 6 pm the pianist played some great music on the grand piano. It made the evening enjoyable. Ryan was very attentive to our needs throughout dinner. It was a wonderful experience, food was delicious, nice atmosphere in the restaurant and they have valet parking. We will definitely be back.

This place is absolutely delish! Their decor has been upscaled and it looks beautiful, great place for a dinner date for sure! Food was cooked to perfection, I had the Scottish Salmon NomNomm! Would definitely get again! The roasted carrots (side dish) were also delish! Unfortunately to me the Kaluga Hybrid Caviar ($115) wasn't worth it.. it came with tater tots which drowned out the mild caviar flavor. I really enjoyed this place and can't wait to go back! *Be sure to make reservations online in advance!!

10/10!! The food is amazing and the service is out of this world. It's a great quiet date night spot. A little pricey, but so worth it.

Absolutely amazing!! One of the BEST Meals I have ever eaten! I had the Bread Plate (phenomenal warm local sourdough bread with miso furikake butter) and the Petite Filet Diane (perfectly prepared to the temperature I requested) along with Fresh Brewed Iced Tea. My server, David, was wonderful too! Plus, there was an excellent pianist playing while I was enjoying my dinner. I will be back when I am in the area.

Michael's St. Augustine, 25 Cuna St. Saint Augustine. Night of lights or visit to historic Saint Augustine is not complete without a date night at Michael's of St. Augustine. It's a fairy tale for your tastebuds, a real culinary experience. Burst of flavors in every item evident of chef Michael's passion to create exceptional exquisite dishes. All spices are locally sourced. The steak and mushrooms were devine and mushrooms are locally sourced from a farm who has been cultivating it for over 30 years. All the spices are either blended in house or sourced from local speciality. The food was a sensory delight for me, at every bite my taste buds thanked me. The flavors were a symphony, perfectly balanced, Quality ingredients make all the difference! The service from the moment we entered the door was amazing. Our server Kelly was incredible and the kindest. The service quality, the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant were everything you could ever ask for! We tried the chef's Experience: 1. Beef Tartare, Potato Pave, Creme Fraiche, Hackleback Caviar 2. Goat Cheese Pearls, Cucumber Ribbons, Smoked Tomatoes, Peppadews, Castelvetrano Olives, Sweety Drops, Arugula, Sherry Balsamic Vinaigrette 3. Wet Aged Filet, Mushroom Soubise, Local Mushrooms, Shaved Black Truffle 7. Tiramisu, Tempered Chocolate, Espresso The restaurant also has an exquisite wine and spirits collection. We had the best date nite ever.

What should have been a pleasant dining experience turned into an extremely stressful and disappointing situation due to the unprofessional conduct of the manager on duty, Ms. Kale. Upon arrival, my family and I were instructed to wait outside, which we did patiently for nearly an hour. Despite this long wait, we were then seated in an extremely crowded area with no regard for comfort, space, or safety. This lack of organization created significant stress for us, especially given my current recovery from a broken femur and hip. Additionally, my elderly mother, who flew from another country to visit us, and my four children -- including one with special needs -- were placed in an environment that was unnecessarily overwhelming and preventable with proper management. What made the situation far worse, however, was the behavior of Ms. Kale. When we voiced our concerns politely, she responded with unacceptable rudeness. Instead of offering a professional apology or attempting to correct the situation, she dismissed our concerns and even laughed in our faces. This reaction was not only unprofessional but deeply disrespectful. It reflected a complete lack of leadership, empathy, and customer-care standards. It is clear that this location is focused on bringing in as many guests as possible for profit, yet management is failing to properly coordinate seating, resulting in overcrowding and poor guest experiences. A manager's role is to ensure smooth operations and address issues respectfully -- something that was clearly lacking under Ms. Kale's supervision. I hope that this complaint is taken seriously, as no family should be treated in this manner. I request that appropriate action be taken to address the behavior of the manager and to improve the overall management practices at this location. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to you seeing seeing to help improvements implemented so that other guests do not experience what we did.

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.

This French restaurant is located in a charming 3-story historic Jefferson house, once owned by Thomas Jefferson's great-granddaughter, Maria Jefferson Eppes Shine. The restaurant is on the first floor, with the entrance tucked away in the back. They have parking in the back. The second and third floors are home to a cozy Bed and Breakfast. We arrived right at 6 p.m. and were seated at a special table by the window. The restaurant isn't huge, but it has a lovely atmosphere. Renee was our server and treated us to a complimentary champagne for the occasion. She explained the menu and the specials. The Chefs Dinner Menu was fascinating, but unfortunately, I don't eat lamb. The menu changes frequently, so I'll definitely check it out again in the future and pair it with the optional Sommelier's wine pairing. There are so many wonderful choices, but I finally decided on the Bouillabaisse, remembering all the positive comments on Yelp. When my order arrived, it was presented on a large platter with a gorgeous display. It tasted as good as it looked, with the lobster eyes staring at me. It was a whole lobster, conveniently cut, which made it easier to eat. The combination of lobster, shrimp, mussels, and clams in a saffron-flavored broth was amazing. I'm so glad I chose it. My husband opted for the Steak au Poivre with Pomme Aligot. It's mashed potatoes with melted cheese, butter, and cream. The texture was a bit tougher than regular mashed potatoes, but still delicious. I tasted his filet, and it was so tender. He loves the poivre sauce on his steak. Renee recommended all the wines we picked. We started with the complimentary Frederic Chopin Brut Blanc de Blanc, and we really liked it, so we ordered more. For my meal, I had the Barbebelle Rosé, and my husband had the Peyrassol Merlot Syrah blend. Both wines complemented our meal perfectly. We did run into an issue with my Bouillabaisse, as it was a bit too salty. The manager, Parnos, came and apologized and had the chef prepare a new batch for me. They fixed the problem right away. I'm really impressed with the service, the amazing food, and the beautiful restaurant that's now La Nouvelle. They even gave me an amazing dessert with a birthday candle for free! It had a chocolate center, a crispy crust, whipped cream topping with chocolate morsels. La Nouvelle was outstanding in so many ways, making my birthday super special.

We started with the Chili-Lime Shrimp, and that dish alone set the bar high. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and coated in a spicy chili-lime garlic sauce that had just the right kick. The miso butter emulsion and sweet soy tied everything together with a rich, slightly sweet finish. The Poke Tuna was fresh and vibrant--sashimi-grade ahi tossed in a cashew-citrus ponzu with red onion, cucumber, and seaweed salad. The fried wontons added a nice crunch that balanced the dish beautifully. The Mediterranean Pizza was a pleasant surprise. The combination of green olives, spinach, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, goat cheese, and garlic worked really well together on a crisp crust, giving you a savory bite with a hint of tang. The Surf & Turf Fried Rice brought bold flavors to the table. Tender beef tips and shrimp sauteed in a spicy chili glaze over vegetable fried rice, finished with fried garlic, chili oil, miso butter, and sweet soy--it was rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. The Beef Tenderloin was cooked just right--tender and juicy--paired with creamy mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a decadent truffle sauce that elevated the whole dish. Beyond the food, the service truly stands out--warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel taken care of throughout the entire meal. They also offer an excellent selection of wines, beers, and spirits, along with a solid dessert lineup that's worth saving room for. To top it all off, there's plenty of parking available, which is always a bonus in a busy dining area. Overall, this place nails the balance between great food, inviting service, and a fun, energetic atmosphere. Definitely a spot you'll want to revisit.
