This is a decent hotel for a casual trip to a Casino, but for a business conference, it was kind of a let down. The hotel room didn't have a desk so I made a makeshift desk with the chair and an ironing board. I'm like the MacGruber of business travel. The pillows were actually decent and the room was nice too. The bed was comfortable and the guest bath had nice toiletries and a nice decor. It's way more expensive for a room than it should be considering the amenities at the casino. There's a sports bar that was huge and they also have an outdoor courtyard for watching sports (and other stuff too I'd imagine). Terry Bradshaw's head is even bigger on that TV. A lot of the restaurants are closed during certain weekdays, but the Italian pizza place/restaurant across the street was amazing. Go there for sure! read more

As a Floridian, I did not know a casino existed in the middle of Massachusetts. We stayed one night in the king suite and it was a great room! I loved the decor and space. I also felt very clean in the room- no carpet (yay!). I also love that the casino is non-smoking. A few things that fell short of 5 stars- there is a place for valet parking- but no valet parking. On one side of the casino the ATM machines weren't working so we had to go to the complete other side. I loved the huge shower- and it was equipped with soap/shampoo/conditioner, but there was no shelf to put your own toiletries on. read more

In our 5-day road trip, our first stop was Springfield. We picked MGM since it had the casino. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had free parking for guests. The hotel lobby is a long walk from parking, unless you drop off your family at Man St entrance. As I walked thru the lobby, I was mesmerized how stunning this casino and hotel was. So modern, so bright and colorful, seemed like they just opened the place. Great infusion of art and decor. Our check in was quick and easy. Our room was equally amazing. There were picture frames of modern art, green curtains, modern bathroom, and of course the incredible cozy bed. The bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby. The casino was wonderful as well. Lots of slot machines, some roulette, blackjack and crabs tables. They had separate area for pro gamblers. Of course there was also sports betting area. They had coffee/drinks table and fountain soda machines in multiple areas of the casino. Guests were able to get drinks and refills by themselves. So convenient. Never seen in other casinos before. read more

Stayed one night here on a road trip. Wish we could have stayed another night. Wonderful hotel room. Aesthetic colors and lovely furniture setup. Bed and pillow are great. We saw an out door pool. It was raining so couldn't use it. Hotel staff are efficient and professional. Very helpful and friendly. Casino on the first floor 24 hours. ID check at the gate. Free soft beverage machine inside the casino (coffee and Coca Cola selections). I was consistently chatting with dealers and managers while on the blackjack table. Very nice people. read more

As far as casinos go I was not very impressed. I guess if all you want is to gamble then this place will satisfy your itch to gamble. If you are looking for other things to do than just gamble, you will not be impressed. I ended up coming and playing here in the early morning. One thing that is nice is there is a CVS next door that I can go and with drawl money. There are also other banks as well where my bank did not charge a fee. However, I would be careful as I did see a couple of homeless, but they did not bother me. The parking is free and parked in the garage. It was nice and big. The MGM park outside is really nice. However, in the morning hours most of the doors are closed as I was exploring the city to add myself to the Pokemon gyms. The only way is through the parking structure. Once you get inside, it is a very nice and fancy casino. I was able to get my card there through the machine. I did not stay here and only played here an hour and a half, but really more of an hour of play as I was waiting 40 minutes for my hand pay. I got beginners luck as I was looking for the $10 dollar denom of pinball, but ended up finding the high limit top dollar. I ended up playing the older machine first and then I transition to the newer version one and hit the hand pay. After I hit the hand pay, I was really excited and I asked for a check. The only downside is that after the attendant comes, they take your players club card and your ID and the machine locks so you can not continue to play and your initial money is there. That was a new experience for me. If you get a hand pay more than $3000 dollars you can ask for a check. I asked for a $3K check and $1K of money. There is no state tax which I was surprised. I was patiently waiting and playing Pokemon. I guess it was a good thing I was waiting as I would have given back most of my money. I was in the high limit room for the most part. They also have high limit machines near the border of the room, but the high limit room is in the center of the casino. The games vary between low and high volatile machines. They also had some old machines that I played as well. I did not get lucky after that except for spinning fortunes and got the bonus right away. I would say I played for another hour and I have them $600 dollars of my winnings which is not to bad. I ended up playing bull blitz, All Aboard, Huff N More Puff, Triple Double Dollar Free Games, Dancing Drums, Gold Blessings. One thing I did like was they have a Coke machine where you can choose your flavors which was nice. I wanted to come back the following day to try my luck, but I left my money at the hotel as I wanted to leave a winner and maybe try that casino in Maine and have more ammo for Lake Charles trip. I hope to one stay there as the rooms look really nice, however, there is a $50 dollar resort fee and there are not many MGM casinos near me other than Biloxi. read more

MGM is located in the heart of Springfield .. the casino itself is beautiful, lots of areas for gambling but also lots of amazing restaurants. Thankfully I was lucky enough to be a part of a special tasting event where we were able to taste test a few items from a few different restaurant and below Is my review . Obviously if you know me we had to stop by the bar to get our drinks before we started the taste test. I got the melon martini .. which came highly recommended by the hosts. The drink was sweet and fruity perfect for my tasting and with the perfect blend of alcohol ( not too strong but definitely not weak either ) . Highly recommend if your like me and prefer sweet cocktails First we started with Posto who add a new taste to old school Italian cooking. Posto presented there take on cavatelli ! Made with pork and fennel sausage sugo, topped with broccoli , kale and pecorino and chilli flakes . This dish was amazing 10/10 the chilli flakes add just the little extra kick you needed ( and note I hate spicy .. but how they blended all the ingredients together it made it the perfect dish. With each bite oozing flavour ) . Next we went to try the student prince to try there alligator appetizer . This is my second time trying alligator . And it was delicious! The taste is similar to chicken , I loved that they fried the alligator to give it that crispy taste ! Highly recommend to try if you have not tried alligator before ! Next on the list was costa ! Another beautiful Italian restaurant that offered mushroom and spinach ravioli ! And I love ravioli so I am very picky .. however costa did not disappoint t the mushroom and spinach ravioli was fantastic, cooked to perfection with plenty of flavour 10/10 highly recommend . I also tried their spaghetti carbonara, and I promise you I'm not just saying this but it was fantastic , again perfectly cooked and oozing with flavour ! I truly can't wait to eat here again . Before we move on I had to stop by the bar again and refill my drink this time I choose the espresso martini which was served with vanilla ice-cream !! Yes whoever thought of adding ice cream to an espresso martini is a genius . Because usually I don't like the espresso martini as it's too strong for me , and usually a little bitter if they don't add the Bailey to it . However the ice cream provided the perfect amount of sweetness to balance out the drink for me ! In my opinion the Best drink of the night ( and possibly ever ) ! Back to the food . Next we stopped by The TAP sports bar and tried their jalapeños popper chicken slider ! I am not huge on jalapeños however my husband loved it ! I really liked their Italian dip sandwich made with slow cooked roast beef , horseradish cream sauce , pepperoncini , provolone and au jus for your dipping pleasure ! The beef was cooked to perfection , moist , and the bread was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside ( just how I like it ) again I'm blown away with these new menu options .. I have yet to try something I do not like . Finally I moved on the chandlers steakhouse ! They served a chipotle and hoisin glazed short rib served with sweet potato puree , red onions and cilantro. And this dish was unanimously the BEST DISH... I have had the entire night ( again possibly ever ! ) it felt like I was eating at a 7 star Michelin star restaurant ! ( no I am not exaggerating chef Corey well done with this one ) if there is one dish you must try it will be this . Literally everyone at my table voted this dish as their favourite of the night ! 1000 % highly recommend ! After chandlers steakhouse it would be hard to follow that up. But B Napoli did not disappoint ! They served their lamb meatballs , and for someone who's not huge on lamb .. I gave it a shot .. and to my surprise I loved it. The lamb was cooked perfectly , not dry at all , and filled with plenty of flavour and perfect two bite portions for an appetizer . And at this point I was getting very full . So i did not have much expectations for this final dish Which was the short rib raggu ! And it was good .. and I found myself slowly picking away at it despite being too full to eat ! So I must say well done b Napoli ! If I can eat your dishes on a full stomach that is saying something! The gnocchi they had unfortunately was cold so that would be my only negative. To think I have room for dessert is an understatement.. but I have the biggest sweet tooth .. so u know there's always room for! I tried the chocolate covered strawberry mousse ! And yes it tasted amazing ! Just like the name I was not disappointed if I was not full I would have had at least two or three more . But I decided to try the pina colada mouse as well and that was a very good second dessert if you don't like chocolate ! Over all 1000/10 thank you so much for having me ! We are frequent visitors to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. So when my husband gifted us a weekend at MGM Springfield to celebrate my 40th birthday, I was excited to try out something new. They didn't have many tables (or as many as we are used to) and the slots like others have said were a bit tight. I didn't lose tons of money though and left breaking even. Our room was beautiful and maybe we didn't have people on either side of us because we didn't hear any disturbances. I review the restaurants separately, but would we go again? Absolutely! read more

There's a hallway that leads you to the concert hall and a different hallway to the hotel rooms. Casino also has a food court and restaurants to dine. We stayed here for 3 nights from Friday September 27th to Monday October 30th 2024. We came from Montreal, Canada primarily to visit The Big E fair in town and wanted to enjoy a Vegas style experience at this hotel. The MGM is located downtown, easy to get to and features lots of free multi-level parking. We were impressed with the size of this place right away. There are 7 or 8 floors of parking so never any issue finding a spot even on the busiest weekends. The walk from the parking elevators to the main lobby of the hotel can be a bit far once you have parked, if you have a lot of luggage I would recommend having someone drop you closer to the entrance first. Once you've entered the hotel, you're immersed into the casino. The whole main floor is dedicated to this, there are also couple restaurants and boutiques, like a gift shop and jeweler. The hotel feels classy, very elegant, yet stylish and fun. I loved the whole decor. We were able to check ourselves in through the MGM mobile app ahead of time, this offers a virtual key if you don't feel like waiting in line, you can still ask for a physical key card if needed. We stayed in room 251 which is on the second floor and has 2 queen beds. The room isn't huge but does offer very tall ceilings, at least 15 feet? Everything felt spacious despite the room being advertised as 354 square feet. The bathroom is quite big, large shower with a rain shower type fixture. I was very happy with the water pressure - honestly one of the best shower experiences I've had in a hotel in a while. However the sink faucet is water saving, it's been adapted to have only a light sprinkle of water unlike a regular faucet. The built in ammenities, like shower, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and hand lotion felt high end. Note, they do not offer any bar soap, I brought my own, but the shower had no ledge or anything buil in to place a bar of soap or additional bottle so ended up having to leave it on the shower floor. This seems like a design flaw. The beds were comfortable, not sunken in. The AC was working beautifully. The entire decor, fixtures and state of the room was in pristine condition. Our room has big windows facing Main street along with blackout curtains - this can be a bit loud at night, we often heard motorcycles or cars blaring music but it died down once we actually went to bed after 10PM. The hotel does offer earplugs, these were on the nightstand when we arrived. Nice touch. In terms of entertainment options, the casino is loads of fun, we had a great time, enjoyed the self-serve resfreshments, Coke freestyle machines and complimentary drinks. There is a movie theater, small bowling alley and even an indoor golf type experience. I would strongly suggest browsing through the MGM site to find out about all available options and hours of operation. Not everything is open during weekdays. The only things that would have made this experience even better is some type of buffet on site - sadly there is no complimentary breakfast option or any dinner buffet restaurant at this hotel. If you compare this to Vegas or Atlantic City, it is lacking. Also having a mini fridge in the room would be great. You can rent one for a charge of about $25 a day, but that did not seem worth it. In all, I really enjoyed my experience, MGM is the ideal place to stay if you want some entertainment and a bit more glitz and glam compared to a regular hotel. The overall feel was luxurious and it truly felt like a vacation even if it was just a weekend stay. read more

Losing there edge! I live in Las Vegas and have family in the area. I had a good time last time I stayed here, so I booked again. Good lively professional crowd at night. Walking around the bar/sports book a loud drunk, who looks homeless, screaming throughout making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Not rooting for any team. So annoying I got up and left. He was in there again the night after. I was thinking he was a local and they are putting him drunk on the road. I did not say anything to anyone. Next morning having my standard coffee/egg sandwich from the Bean, Delicious. I go to sit in the sports book in the am to watch last nights sports and I got kicked out by the janitors who were done cleaning. I do this at the Bellagio in Las Vegas whenever I go, to decide whether it is poker or sports for the day. I am almost 70 and stay to myself and am clean. They told me if I don t like it I never have to come back to the casino, I was booked for 5 nights. Then I bring mom in who is 93 for lunch, needs a wheel chair and for the 2 nd time no attendant for her to give us one. We finally got one on one of the days after a line grew with a 20 minute wait This stuff would never happen in Las Vegas, but then again maybe I expect too much from an MGM property. I know in Vegas people are losing jobs from the slow down, I guess here they are fat cats. I ll stay in a regular hotel next time! read more

Quite possibly the worst experience check-in to a hotel I've ever had. I indicated a day earlier that we would arrive at 12-1pm. I understand you cannot "guarantee" an early check in. However, when you are asked to pay an early check in fee and then you aren't even checked into the room by the normal time (3pm) it's a bit much. Especially when your daughter has to get ready for a cheer competition and depended on being in the room by 2:30, hence the early check-in. "No worries, we will remove the early check in fee" Ummmmmm. I would hope so! Disaster. They seriously need management with some hospitality experience. The hotel itself was 5/5 ! The rooms were clean, large, and decor was so well done. Casino was clean and the history of the property was embraced and a great aspect. The extra entertainment on the property was a surprise bonus. The food court could have been cool but was rough. Most businesses were closed and they rotated their workers between locations, so hours and availability of the food was hit or miss. Was a bummer, since menus looked good! Mgmt claimed they could not find enough employees who were willing to actually come to work to staff each of the food locations. This was the only reason for a 4/5 rating. MGM is the highlight of the town it seems. It looked like the town was in the process of revitalization but has incredible potential. If we stayed in Springfield again (not likely), we would definitely stay at this MGM! read more

There are pros and cons, let me share. We normally go to Mohegan or Foxwoods since we live in Connecticut. However MGM is actually closer to us. Pleasantly surprised by certain things. Food is very affordable and decent amount of options, I like that it's low key and seems like some people come just for the food. Reasonable portion too. Casino itself is small. Limited stores for shopping. If you're not there to gamble, then the only place to hang is the food court area and hotel lobby. There's movie theatre on upper floor if you're waiting for hours on friends who are gambling. Overall, I think it has all the basics a casino should have. Depending on what you like, it may just be enough. Our friends had good luck here and made some winnings so we'll be back! read more

I had booked this hotel as it was close to some museums which we planned to see and also because it was centrally located in town. I didn't really appreciate that this is a full-blown Las Vegas style casino with an attached hotel. That's mostly on me I guess, but just be aware. If you are seeking a place to stay and play slots or table games, this may be ideal. If you are just looking for a straight up hotel, this may not be your best choice. The room itself was nice and spacious. We both liked the shower set-up a lot also. And it was quiet despite being downtown and connected to a casino. Parking was somewhat of an issue. They have an enormous 7-story parking garage. When we came back from dinner around 7 p.m. on a Sunday night, there were no spaces on levels 1 - 5 and only a few on level 6. Luckily they do have space-available indicators on each level to assist with whether to go hunting there. I think parking was free, though there was some sort of 'resort fee' that may partially be for parking (?). It was really crowded in the evening (but deserted in the morning). You then have to walk a ways to the elevator, ride that down, and hike by the entire gaming floor to get to the hotel lobby. It makes any trip out of the hotel a significant event (probably by design). We were looking for a place to get breakfast before we checked out. There appeared to be no restaurants within easy walking distance. However, we asked at the front desk and were told about 'South Market', an apparently shops / dining court at the far end of the hotel. I had not seen any reference to this on their website while actually looking for dining options. We walked down and located it. They offered large breakfast combos for $10. The price was good, but it was impossible to finish. I'd recommend 2 people splitting one. Depending on what you want / need, this place may be a good option. If you just want convenient adjacent parking, a simple room, and maybe a simple complimentary breakfast in the lobby, this isn't for you. read more

The hotel is first class and easily earns this 4 star rating. The casino is another issue entirely and would only earn 2 or 3 stars. I'll address both in this review. The hotel room we had, a King Rm on the 6th Floor, was very comfortable, spacious, clean, and very well appointed. The only thing that disappointed us was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room....something that is almost always standard in even a budget hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful so only positive feedback with regards to customer service. There are several options for dining onsite and even more within close walking distance from the hotel. Now the Casino was another matter entirely. While they have an impressive amount of slot machines, the payout settings are very off compared to many other casinos we've recently been to. The limited number of table games made for a challenge to get a seat at times and even more disappointing were the below average payout ratios. Blackjack, for example, pays 6:5 instead of 3:2. On the positive side, all the dealers at both the Blackjack and Pontoon21 tables were very friendly, helpful and professional. They did have some nice random giveaway prizes this month (December) too. If I ever have to stay in Springfield again, I'll definitely consider this hotel, but I think our other options for casino gambling in the region are much better choices. read more

With the opening of the new Sportsbook, I decided to give MGM Springfield a chance. With that being said, the casino was pretty good, but the employees were out of control. To start, the casino is nice, clean, and has plenty of table games and slot machines. Also, the casino offers free soda machines which is a great feature. On top of that, the new Sportsbook is excellent. To elaborate, the Sportsbook has lots of betting kiosks, really comfortable seating, and a massive video wall that captures every sporting event that is on. Given that, the Sportsbook is definitely the highlight of this casino. In contrast, this casino really needs to add more dining options. For example, they only have one restaurant which is a sports bar and a small food court with limited options. But, the worst part of this place is the employees. To explain, while I was walking back to the Sportsbook from the bathroom, I was harassed by a custodian. The custodian stopped me and wouldn't let me leave. She kept saying that I wasn't allowed here because of the way I looked. I eventually had to tell her I would get security because she wouldn't stop harassing me. Just a horrible human being. All in all, MGM Springfield has a nice casino and a great Sportsbook, but the employees are awful. read more

First Time Here. We flew into Logan Airport in Boston to go to Cooperstown for a baseball tournament. This was a middle point from Boston to Cooperstown in Oneonta. We Self Parked checked in, they accommodated our request for two adjoining rooms without any issues. Our rooms were clean. To access the floors, you need to have a room key so that's reassuring to have that for added safety. Front Desk: Accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable. I called the front desk on our check-out date and needed one more hour before checking out, they did their best to give us an extra hour to squeeze a workout and shower in before leaving with our bags in tow. Meal Options: The hotel restaurants are limited and they aren't always open on weekdays. There is a food court market area that has one to two restaurants open at a time. This time it was the Seafood (fish and chips/chowder) and the Grill Restaurants (Hotdogs, BLT sandwiches, Hamburgers). The maximum order is for 5 people per order. The bowling is located in the Tap restaurant. Fitness Center: Was just enough to do cardio and lift weights. We were the only ones in there so there was plenty of room. Hotel Room: Nice, clean, and modern. Swimming Pool: This is on the same floor as the Fitness Center (2nd Floor). It was small but perfect for the family. We don't gamble but the hotel and staff keep this place clean and tidy. I was happy with this choice and would recommend the hotel! read more

This is really a 2 in 1 type of place. First in the hotel which is really nice. Someone said the hotel is 5 years old but it appears to be new. Rooms smell if new paint. Shower is among the best in the business. Shower head looks like one of those rain drip ones but there is great pressure. Good choice of places to eat and drink. Then there is the gaming. It's a good selection but no one in the family came close to winning anything. It was just lose lose lose. I know casinos are not in business to lose money but you have to program them to pay out a little once in a while to keep people coming back. If you ever get stranded overnight at BDL by South West (or any other airline really) this is a good choice to spend the night. It's a short Uber ride. @Marriott If you are a Mariott Rewards member you can pay for rooms with points. You might have to remind the folks at the front desk what the benefits of Rewards are (free upgrades , late check outs etc). But overall neat place read more

Safety of patrons and their belongings with fast intervention.... Telling someone you'll look at a camera within 6 hours after their phone has been stolen, Gave the thief 6 hours to get out the door. Receiving an incident report that a security officer did not sign was not helpful. Being told to wait 45 minutes after initial incident in case it was found and brought to Lost and found- not helpful. My phone was out of my hand for less than three minutes and it was gone. I'm sure it happens all the time, but probably not to an on-call registered nurse who panicked completely knowing I could not receive calls or text. And I get that people steal all the time but I also expect better customer service than I received as a gold card member at MGM. read more

Today is may 27th 2025. And I received a flier for a promotion that happened yesterday. This is ridiculous and to me. I don't live anywhere near Springfield ma. I travel a long ways to enjoy my time there. As well as try to get involved in the courtesy of some drawings when I can. However this is the last straw for me. My last visit was incredibly such a loss that not only do I never receive any games that pay off when I use my free play. But , i absolutely do not feel safe going there anymore. Which is truly sad because I used to enjoy my little trips there. However, during my last stay on May 7th -may 9th of 2025 I leaned over to pick up my earring that dropped out of my ear. And while doing this my cell phone dropped out of my other pocket. I did not realize that I had dropped until I had walked out the door to the smoking section when I noticed I did not have it on me within a minute I came back to retrieve my cell phone yet it had already been picked up within 45 seconds of me dropping the phone. I had immediately reported it to staff and security and ask them to look at the cameras at that present moment but they told me I had to wait until midnight and give a chance for an employee or someone else to turn it in. I knew by that time the person would have fled out of the casino if they had ill intent of returning it. Which they did. I had reported it stolen and asked to look at security footage to see if the man was still in the building in appropriate time this happened between 11:30 and 12:00 on May 7th 2025. After waiting until midnight it was confirmed that camera footage saw the man pick up my cell phone within 45 seconds of it dropping and slowly walk out of the building with it. I activated my find my device before midnight and it was still in the building I told that to the police officers or security guards. They still denied me access to security footage. Later on at 2:00 a.m. I went to them again and said my device had been located two blocks away from MGM casino they refuse to go to the residence or the address because it was known as a local homeless abandoned building and was to dangerous to go to. But that I could go to the police station in the morning when my report would be given to the local police. Seriously?? The police officer also stated to me, even though there are plethora of cameras none of them could get a good a good angle on his face. What is the purpose of having so much camera footage and so much security in a place where you're supposed to feel safe and then when something happens nobody helps you. My whole life turned upside down and not to mention I didn't have my cell phone to get to my job the next day which had the address of my job and again I did not live in town or anywhere near. I was on a wild goose chase to find someone who would print me up a map to my location and give me the location of a T-Mobile store so that I could get another phone. Regardless to say it took me 2 weeks to get my phone number back and a lot of things were lost in the meantime and still MGM is taking advantage of me as a customer by not even giving me my promotions in time for me to make them. read more

Cool place to go to but staying there is not worth the price. Positives - Amazing room design and aesthetic. - Temperature control was great. - Great food options. - Good casino floor with many game options. - Great bar - Many activity options Negatives - Cannot order food/drinks to room. - Cannot even order food for pickup. You have to place a take out order at the restaurant in person, then wait until it's ready to take it to your room. - I specifically asked and was told I had a street view room but only had a view of the closed down pool area. I did not ask for a room change because I did not want to cause any problems so I just went with it. - Spa has been closed since 2020 due to covid. It's been 4 years they can re-open it. For a price of $200 per night I felt as if it was slightly overpriced because of the experience I expected from MGM but did not receive. I was yelled at by a security guard at 7:30 in the morning walking back to my hotel room after parking my car in the garage. It was one of the most disgusting uses of flexing authority by a security guard I've ever seen. I walked simply from the garage to my hotel room, not through the casino area. Yet this older gentleman decided to be completely unprofessional and overreaching for no reason whatsoever. In addition, the cleanliness, lack of room service, and restaurant closures at the beginning of the week made the hotel experience very disappointing and one-dimensional. First visit was special. My wife and I had a great time visiting the casino. Parking on a early Saturday afternoon was no problem.
