An excellent choice for our third night in Massachusetts. Hampton inn is the home of Hilton Heavenly Beds. I expect that and get it. Quiet room and a guest laundry on site on our floor. So easy to take care of business while we are here. We are prob going back to the Brimfield antique show tomorrow, long day, we may come back for another night. We ll see. Update The night went well. The included breakfast was nice but not hot and no microwave. The coffee was light roast So I ll be at Starbucks next. So a 8 out of 10. read more

It was clean but it needs an upgrade. Way too pricey for the quality of the room. Mattress was not comfy; it was too bouncy. Furniture was old, outdated. On the positive side, it is conveniently located off of the Pike. The young woman at the front desk was very pleasant. Pillows were very nice. Overall it was average at best. I am sorry it's taken me so long to review this hotel. My wife and I been staying here, twice a year since 2003. Without question, this is the finest hotel we stay at. The reason is simple...the staff. They treat you like family and it's become like a second home to us. We're always greeted warmly and are remembered on each visit. They've made many improvements over the years. They have a nice gym facility and if you like to run outside, there's a beautiful 5 mile route around the hotel area. The rooms are always very clean, and both spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is extraordinary. Everything you could ask for, from super healthy to standard breakfast fare. There's simply no comparison in hospitality. If you need a favor or some help, they're very, very accommodating in every way possible. We stayed here because of my daughters College who had Family Weeknd. It was a bit out of the way but not to far. To get here from the Highway was interesting. THere is a Starbuck within walking distance. Like it across the street without crossing the highway or any traffic. Just go across the parking lot and you are there. My wife requested that there be a Wheel Chair waiting for me at the hotel. The hotel made sure that a Wheel Chair was there ready at check in. The Reason I need a Wheel Chair is because I have MS and I can't walk for long periods of time. So I thought I may borrow it as a tour my daughters campus. I could have taken my own with me but my car was filled with the things my daughter forgot to take on the first day of college. So cool I got the Wheel Chair...... Well it really was a transport chair. I notice that it was missing the two parts that my leg will lay one. Without it my foot will be dragging on the floor. I told my wife I can't use this unless i was doing Pop-A-wheelies for my duration of our tours and stuff. I told the wife that we are going to have to give this back when we leave for dinner. I brought the Transportation Chair back to the front desk and I told the Latin Lady that I am sorry but this doesn't work for me. I explain to her that it is missing two pieces. (BY the way the chair was not broken, somebody jut removed the pieces from the chair). ANYway... The lady looked down at it and said "Oh.....Okay". Now IN my past I have done years of Customer Service and we don't say Oh... Okay. We show a little more apathy and we say sorry for you inconvenience. Other then that the hotel was decent. There was a Floor Is Wet sign hanging from the Rail of the elevator from Friday Night to Sunday when we left. THe other ladies in the front were very nice and there was a girl name Gensis who was very pleasant and Understanding. read more

My husband and I have always stayed at Hampton Inns whenever we traveled so on our way to Bar Harbor. On July 7 we reserved a room both to and from our destination. The young lady at the front desk gave my husband a hard time because she said there was no information regarding a service dog with our reservation. After we checked into our room I went to the front desk and told this young lady that I had made our reservation through the Hampton reservation line and had spoken with a gentleman by the name of David (with a foreign accent) and explained that we needed a room with a refrigerator for storage of medication and we were bringing a service dog. She promptly said that there was no one in working at this hotel by the name of David. I told her that he was the person that made our reservation with the reservation line. She said that that department is not part of the Hampton Inns so I was confused as to why they are allowed to make reservations for Hampton Inns. In the past I have spoken to customer service and they said not to worry about bringing a service dog as they had it on record. We have traveled with this dog for the last 10 years on trips to Florida & Bar Harbor, and stayed at Hampton Inns with no problem with a service dog ever. The next morning I spoke with the manager on duty and she nicely took off the charge for the room, but said that the young lady I dealt with was very nice and would not treat anyone rudely. Really?? Also, in the room we stayed in #230 , the bathroom door would not shut because the rug was piled up and the bathtub did not drain & we stood in ankle deep water during a shower. She said that improvements are in the works, but why rent out this room in the mean time. We will NEVER use a Hampton Inn in the future. read more

Luis (the hotel manager) was an absolute guardian angel on a recent pit stop during our journey to Western Massachusetts. Traffic was terrible on I-90 and needed somewhere to stop to feed our newborn & toddler. We called Luis to see if we could book a room just for the day and he kindly offered us a conference room free-of-charge. He also gave our toddler some treats and was generally extremely welcoming and lovely. We are so grateful to him! read more

It's Chicopee, Massachusetts...not Palm Springs. And it's a Hampton Inn, not The Ritz. Seriously, this Hampton is one of the nicer ones I've stayed in with my daughter and we were perfectly happy with the spacious and VERY clean room. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was big, coffee was ok, tv was big and the thermostat worked just fine. It was a little more than I would expect to pay here, but it was conveniently located, they include breakfast, and I got service with a smile. Breakfast was just ok, but I didn't expect a grand buffet...the 'omelet' was bland and I would have liked some biscuits and bacon rather than the toast and sausage patty, but it was fine-it did the job it needed to...it fed my daughter and got her ready for her games. Coffee was fine and they had 4 choices of juice plus milk, multiple cereals, muffins and bread/English muffins for the girls (I was staying here for a field hockey tournament). If I was up here again at some point I would gladly stay in this hotel. read more

What a great, relaxing night! This hotel was clearly paying great attention to the details. We walked in and the lobby was steeped in warm holiday decorations. The pool was warm and cozy with vibey changing colored lights in the water. Comfortable bed and soft sheets. Our complimentary breakfast was way above average. Great eggs, warm oatmeal with lots of tasty condiments. Also, charming signage on everything. We appreciated the high quality Neutrogena bath products. Also, many amenities nearby, grocery store and more. Highly recommend!y read more

I don't know what you'd be doing in Chicopee, Mass but if you're staying here, you'll be just fine. I'm a hiltonhonors member so if you're going to be biased then please take that into account. This hotel was recently renovated. if you stay at hampton inns often you'll notice they're all doing that. They've got the usual hot breakfast, swimming pool, fitness center, free wifi. The rooms are new, clean and some have fridges and microwaves (u may have to request that). The staff was super nice when i checked in, well the staff member I dealt with was nice, her name was Holly. If you get someone else and they're mean, NOT my fault! The neighborhood has a few restaurants, a supermarket and a walmart. The food selection isn't great. Hukalau is this fun asian-inspired tiki bar up the street and then you've got a 99's and an Applebee's across the street. Whatever else i'm kind of skeptical to go try. There is a starbucks that's walking distance, shares the same parking lot if that's your thing. read more

This is one of the nicer, newer Hampton Inns. It was super clean and well maintained. The breakfast area was excellent. I felt a little afraid walking from the parking lot into the hotel late at night by myself. I saw some sketchy people squatting nearby the parking lot in the morning. The location of this hotel isn't convenient to much except the freeway. So great place to spend the night when you're traveling. read more

Candles and Whirlpools I planned a weekend to visit the Yankee Candle Factory and enjoy a bit of relaxation while I was out for the weekend. I chose to stay at the Springfield Hampton Inn because of its location to the Yankee Candle Factory Store. Less than a 30-minute drive to the store. Check in was a breeze. I used the online check in option the night before my drive to out to Springfield. A quick hi at the desk, a cheerful smile from the attendant and my key cards where in my hand and I was off to my room. I got a King Bed with a Whirlpool Junior Suite. The room had a comfortable temperature when I entered. Everything was clean and tidy, ready for my weekend of relaxation. The whirlpool was located in a corner in the main room. Some extra towels were set up in the tub area for usage after soaking in the tub. The main bathroom had a regular tub/shower, a hair dryer and a collection of body and hair products. A flat screen television with local programing, a microwave, a coffee maker and a mini fridge rounded out the amenities of the room. The hotel also has a 24-hour hot beverage bar with hot coffees and hot water for tea or cocoa and all the fixins to go with your favorite hot beverage. After a hot shower and out to dinner it was back to my room for a nice soak in the whirlpool and a bit of channel surfing before the night's sleep. The room darkening blinds do a great job at keeping the outside lights out and the morning sun only creeped into the room. The bed was comfortable and clean and provided me with a good night's rest for my day's adventure. Morning brings a hot breakfast buffet. Saturday morning, I had the cheese omelet and a bagel with cream cheese. There was also some cut sausage available on the hot area as well as a selection of bread and English muffins to toast, some muffins and cold cereals where also available. Fresh fruit and juice rounded out the selection. Off to Yankee Candle Village for my days adventures and then back to my room. Returning to my room was a pleasure. My bed was freshly made, towels had been replaced and the room had the same feel it had upon my first entering. My second night at the Inn was as nice as my first. Spent a little time on Skype with a couple of my friends. The internet access seemed flawless, no drop outs or lag was felt by any of us. Sleeping was, if you will excuse the pun, a dream. The darkening blinds kept the out side lights out of my room and there was no outside sound to be heard. Morning brings the return of the breakfast buffet. As my plans for the day were mostly driving I opted for a light breakfast. A bowl of cereal and a couple slices of toast. Check-out was a breeze. A quick stop at the front desk to turn in my key cards and off to the road for my drive home. A wonderful weekend experience for me. If my plans take me to the Springfield area I will stay at the Chicopee/Springfield Hampton Inn. read more

I try to stay at this property each time I'm in Chicopee. It's near restaurants, stores, and their is a Starbucks in the same parking lot! Duncan Donuts is down just one block. Your standard Hampton so breakfast was go, to go breakfast bags are always appreciated, and I appreciate having a gym (with weights) available. That said, the gym is in a really weird place - it's across from the front desk so as people come and go it can feel a little like you're "out there" when you're in the gym. read more

I came in for a dog show- no dogs with me- and I was super early and wished to drop off a pie in their fridge until I checked in later in the day. Good spot for a night around the Holyoke/Springfield area. It's really conveniently located as it is right off the Mass Pike. There are quite a few restaurant choices nearby as well as decent shopping too. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. I stayed here for a couple nights on business in Springfield and had a great experience. Hampton Inns are usually pretty reliable but they're not all created equal. This one ranks at the top. The staff was so friendly that I was kind of sad to leave. They made me feel right at home. The breakfast was good and the coffee was always fresh. Convenient location to the highway so I could get on the road to my meetings in the morning. The rooms were quiet, despite how close the road was to the hotel and the surrounding area seemed very safe. Good neighborhood. Despite the weather being awful outside, I was happy as a clam in my room here. Writing this review so I can remember to stay here next time I'm in the area! read more
