Totally agree with the other review . Spacious, comfortable, elegant & well appointed . It's a short drive to town , but also , only a 6/7 block walk , easy and really pretty . Smith college a stones throw away , and also makes for wonderful strolling . Can take in The Botanic Garden @ Smith as well . I guess the start of the garden construction was around 1894 . The Inn is very quiet . And the coffee and pastries , were perfect . Huge fireplace , looked inviting for the fall / winter . Staff , all very friendly , and helpful . Also , has Roku TV for your streaming pleasure . Great place to stay , when in Northampton. Check it out .

This should do it for two days!!! Yeah. Oh they do supply your own cleaning tools because they aren't doing anything in the rooms....

It is less than a mile away from downtown Northampton and if you haven't been to the town, it is a very lovely little place.

It's an odd building (probably a few buildings cobbled together for the main hotel) but very charming. The restaurant and bar are strangely designed but definitely comfortable. The lobby area is large and welcoming. There's a beautiful front porch that is enclosed and looks like it was once a fully outdoor porch. I always find myself camped out there for part of the visit. You can find outlets to charge phones and laptops here and in the lobby as well. They have additional buildings and I've stayed there as well. Everything is very comfortable and you can make a short or long term stay work out very well. People are nice as you might expect. On our most recent visit, our room 300 was noticeably musty but opening the window for a while seemed to clear that up. Parking is limited if you want a space near the hotel. They have 10 minute spaces to allow guests with heavy bags to unload and there's a one story elevator to the parking lot to make the building accessible to anyone. The location could not be better. You can walk to a variety of excellent restaurants and shops. It is very easy to find and a few minutes off I-91. If you're a runner, take a left out of the front door and Smith College and a very nice park are just up the street. There's a reproduction tavern under the restaurant that I think may only be open for brunch on Sundays? I've never noticed it being open. There's an outdoor garden patio that could not be more beautiful. I think I recall seeing them serving out there but don't hold me to it. I'm usually here in the winter or shoulder seasons. There must be a reason why they don't use this as their main bar. Possibly accessibility? It's just another one of the odd layout dynamics of the Hotel Northampton. I would characterize it as charming. The bottom line is that I would stay here as often as I could. I don't even consider looking somewhere else when in the area. I think you would enjoy it if you gave it a try so please do!

Pro - location. Northampton is a great little town…read more Also, the front desk staff is extremely friendly and is doing their best to go above and beyond. But, I had to knock off a star because the Wifi in the rooms doesn't work. This is a massive disappointment for what is supposed to be a modern hotel. As is the case with technical things, I assumed it was a me problem. The friendly front desk staff explained that the public WiFi works fine but the guest Wifi is problematic. This means that after driving for 2 hours and arriving hangry and with hours worth of work to do, I have to sit in the lobby to get anything done. It is challenging to focus because there are other groups here talking. I am loyal to the Marriott brand and have the gold lifetime elite to prove it, but I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. After a day of work, I want to be able to settle in my room, order some food, take my bra off, and do the work I need to do to get ready for the next day. So I must say, this is a huge disappointment.

Very clean and well organized, disability friendly hotel. Decent parking and friendly people…read more Breakfast was ok with very good coffee and a number of options hot and cold. They have wine and beer for sale. Neither selection is great but duckhorn reds are a strong option. No IPAs for beer and that's disappointing. Wifi was also disappointing and the TV was very strange, rebooting several times before we could watch anything. Hot water seemed limited when we were there but perhaps they were booked up and we were all using it at once? We enjoyed our stay and will return.
