The rooms are stocked with snacks and there's some local artwork you can purchase if you like. The upstairs suite doesn't have any kind of a kitchen, though there's a mini-fridge and I believe a microwave, so dishes are bussed out as you use them; don't plan on doing any food prep on your own. The hostess brought breakfast to the room (there's not a common dining room like most B&Bs) and pointed out the local ingredients including eggs from her chickens and vegetables from the garden. This is a real working mini-farm and it's fun to stroll the grounds and see what is going on. And it's VERY close to the northeast corner of the campus; we were able to leave our car and walk to his dorm (Van Meter) in about 20 minutes. Like the website says, the grounds are very rich in animals and there's an extremely friendly cat who wouldn't stay out of our room in spite of the management's desire to keep the premises pet-free. Keep this in mind if you have allergies.

The wife and I spent one night in a one bedroom, basically an apartment. It was clean and super comfy. A stall shower in the bathroom with great water pressure was so nice. The kitchen had a fridge, stove and a toaster. Also a coffee maker and a nice table to sit at and enjoy breakfast. Fruit, cereal as well as pastries and some Thomas' English Muffins were provided. Great location and a reasonable rate. Will definitely make another trip when returning. We slept really well here.

The B & B is located within an easy walk to the campus of the Williston Northampton School (where I attended an event) and various shops and restaurants. I'll stay here again.

We loved the dramatic ceremony aisle, and the cocktail hour patio space was perfect. The ballroom can truly be transformed into something magical and memorable. Though the venue itself was overall perfect, we did not have a good experience with their so called "day of coordinator" (DOC). There was an extreme lack of communication and professionalism experienced during the rehearsal and wedding day with the DOC. As a Type A bride, I planned every last detail to a T and even provided a fool proof binder of my expectations for decor setup and wedding day flow. On the night of our rehearsal...the day before the wedding, we were informed that the DOC and her staff would not be assisting in the setting up of any of our wedding décor. The only portion of the setup they handle are the tables w/ linens (if you choose to use theirs) and the ceremony chairs. This was not discussed or disclosed to us when booking the venue and had it been, we would have hired an actual coordinator. Due to this, one of my bridesmaids and the significant others of the bridal party had to set up everything the morning of the wedding. Due to the lack of eye for detail and overall care from the mansion's DOC, she did not read the binder we provided her with which in turn also caused our ceremony to be mismanaged. She told the groom and bridal party to start walking before the officiant even began reading the opening remarks resulting in our officiant having to skip over the whole beginning of our ceremony script. We would have been better off without her "help" and "services" altogether as several of our other vendors also commented to us about her rudeness towards them. We also want to share our experience regarding their "open bar" pricing. Due to specific wording in the contract, we were charged an additional (quite significant) amount of money for alcohol consumed. You are not paying for an open bar here but rather by consumption so please be sure you understand your contract fully to avoid this unnecessary additional stress. Overall, we feel the venue itself made our wedding perfect, but we are giving only three stars due to the DOC's behavior, lack of care for the bride and groom and subpar services provided. If you fall in love with the grounds like we did and choose to book your wedding here, the major takeaway we have from our experience would be to hire your own coordinator. You will need someone who always has the bride and groom's needs at the forefront of their mind and someone who truly knows and cares about executing your vision. Your wedding day should be stress-free and that will not happen here without an outside coordinator.

While sitting on the deck in the early evening, we observed a beautiful gray fox grabbing a peach from the ground under their peach tree before slinking off into the back pasture. Jo and Joan have a living space on another floor and we pretty much had the main floor living room to ourselves for the 3 1/2 days we stayed. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean with comfy robes provided. Jo is a chef extrordinaire, and seemed to provide whatever we wanted for a custom breakfast at whatever time worked best for us. We were attending the Noho Bike Fest on Saturday and were each leaving at different times. Jo got up early specifically to prepare my boyfriend a hearty breakfast before he headed out on his bike. She prepared another breakfast for me a little bit later as I didn't need to be up as early. Amazing! It was a serene and peaceful long weekend away that I hope to do again soon.
