The rooms are stocked with snacks and there's some local artwork you can purchase if you like. The upstairs suite doesn't have any kind of a kitchen, though there's a mini-fridge and I believe a microwave, so dishes are bussed out as you use them; don't plan on doing any food prep on your own. The hostess brought breakfast to the room (there's not a common dining room like most B&Bs) and pointed out the local ingredients including eggs from her chickens and vegetables from the garden. This is a real working mini-farm and it's fun to stroll the grounds and see what is going on. And it's VERY close to the northeast corner of the campus; we were able to leave our car and walk to his dorm (Van Meter) in about 20 minutes. Like the website says, the grounds are very rich in animals and there's an extremely friendly cat who wouldn't stay out of our room in spite of the management's desire to keep the premises pet-free. Keep this in mind if you have allergies.

The hosts are just amazing, but my favorite part was the family style breakfast. It's been noted already that there is a little bit of traffic noise from the hospital, and it's an old Victorian home so there's some creaky floors and noise from the room upstairs. No big deal at all - just wear some earplugs if it bothers you. It wasn't nearly as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be ‍. Parking is around back and the driveway is to the left of the house as you're looking at it. There's plenty of spots. There was also a really nice patio, which unfortunately we didn't have time to take advantage of, but I would've loved to have sat there or on one of the rocking chairs on the front porch. The key pad entry system for the building and the room is really convenient and they'll text you the codes so you always have them handy.

This year we stayed in Morts Library. It has a huge king size bed with very cozy bedding. Lots of pillows too. A second twin bed if you are traveling with an extra person. There's a Victorian desk and awesome matching end tables, along with Tiffany lamps, ceiling fans above both beds which are awesome when it's 80 degrees. There's a window air conditioner which you can program yourself. Also 2 overstuffed arm chairs to hang out in. While watching a very large flat screen television. Her bathrooms are huge all totally redone. This one we especially liked the base of the sink was a stand from a vintage treadle sewing machine. Plenty of hot water and some really nice smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all in large pump bottles. You can help yourself to whatever you need. Lots of clean fluffy towels too. Breakfast is served between 830 and 930 in this what I can only describe as a magical dining room where you sit around a large piano, you have access to two or three types of juice which you can pour into beautiful crystal glasses. There are carafes of hot coffee, and you have a variety of unusual mugs to pour that into also along with any kind of sugar or creamer you would need. Marcy, who runs the Inn and is an artist has painted the walls with figures from Alice's and Wonderland. She makes you a home-cooked breakfast Eggs with bacon or sausage or ham depending on the day also with some sautéed vegetables to go with the eggs and this time an amazing poppyseed cake on the side. Seems that everyone who stays there really enjoys it also. There's usually some interesting conversations going on around that piano. If the walls could talk and in a way they do. Marcy leaves a small bowl of chalk on the piano for you to write your comments on her wall so in a way the walls do talk as there are so many wonderful comments to be seen and read. Just to mention your door to your room has a code so you don't need to carry a key and also there is a code to get into the house which Marcy supplies to you before you arrive. Parking is in the back and there's always a parking spot for you. Marcy is just an amazing hostess. If you ever get to Springfield and want to stay in a super cozy place for a very reasonable price this is definitely for you. I know we will be returning next summer on our way to the Cape and Marcy will have another beautiful room waiting for us.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the hospitality offered by them. Our room was large and comfortable. The house is historic and attractive as are the rooms. Denise prepared wonderful breakfasts and was very accommodating to our schedule as we had to leave rather early on several mornings to attend activities. We were made to feel very comfortable and I cannot recommend staying at Seven Hearths enough should you need an accommodation in the area!

We had our rehearsal dinner in the greenhouse room at 30 Boltwood the night prior and the food was incredible. We tried 30 Boltwood last year and both agreed that you truly cannot go wrong with any menu item - and my God you haven't lived until you have had their Mac and cheese. We had the 3 course meal with a choice of 3 entrees and both of our families have not stopped talking about it! We had multiple people who have allergies or restrictions and they were accommodated throughout the weekend, which was such a relief as they were able to just enjoy themselves fully. Sarah was an incredible help throughout the dinner and ensured we were all taken care of. We made the decision to move to an outdoor cocktail hour and tented reception due to COVID-19 mask mandates in Amherst, but you seriously could not tell it was not what we originally planned. We felt so secure that our plans would come to life in the hands of the staff, and we were so happy with how everything turned out! Our guests raved about the venue location, the passed hors d'oeuvres and the dinner selection and the staff were beyond communicative - again, Catherine was a HUGE help, from getting us champagne glasses, to general check ins, and helping get stains out of my wife's dress not one but two different times...Both of us have worked for wedding events and in the food service industry in the past and know just how much needs to go on behind the scenes to make an event successful. Their staff worked incredibly hard and provided such an incredible wedding during the heart of the pandemic, which is no easy task. Their flexibility and attention to detail were clear throughout the weekend and made every difference for us. It was an absolutely perfect weekend, which ticked every box for us and we cannot wait to come back for anniversary celebrations!

We sat in the parlor room and the chairs were all torn up- terrible! We wanted coffee and went to the front desk where the clerk was playing solitaire. When we asked if there was coffee or hot cocoa we were told to go to the bar and order it and it would be delivered to us- we were surprised that she didn't stand up and offer to take care of it for us. Customer service training should be a focus. There are a lot of places to stay and we should feel that we made the right choice in staying here and spending money here but we don't. Hopefully employee training as well as some repairs will be done so that customers can benefit.

The hosts go out of their way to help you plan your time in the area. They are knowledgeable and eager to help. The rooms are fantastic and the beds are really comfortable. It is TOTALLY quiet. The views of the valley and of Llama's, Alpaca's and I believe Donkey's are amazing! The only issue is having to leave the next morning! It is that good.
