I've stayed here a few times and have been in the upstairs suite and have also stayed in the main floor suite. Both were amazingly comfortable and well appointed. Candi has thought of everything to make guests feel welcome and at home. The grounds are incredible. I've been very inspired in Candi's gardens and have used some of her ideas in my yard. This visit they were building a chicken coop which just adds to the charm. Isn't it great to know where your eggs are coming from? The breakfasts are delicious! Entirely home made, delicious, and abundant! Treat yourself and book a trip to Amherst just to stay at Stone House Farm. It is a magical place!

The rooms are stocked with snacks and there's some local artwork you can purchase if you like. The upstairs suite doesn't have any kind of a kitchen, though there's a mini-fridge and I believe a microwave, so dishes are bussed out as you use them; don't plan on doing any food prep on your own. The hostess brought breakfast to the room (there's not a common dining room like most B&Bs) and pointed out the local ingredients including eggs from her chickens and vegetables from the garden. This is a real working mini-farm and it's fun to stroll the grounds and see what is going on. And it's VERY close to the northeast corner of the campus; we were able to leave our car and walk to his dorm (Van Meter) in about 20 minutes. Like the website says, the grounds are very rich in animals and there's an extremely friendly cat who wouldn't stay out of our room in spite of the management's desire to keep the premises pet-free. Keep this in mind if you have allergies.

Went down stairs for breakfast every morning and found out they had gluten-free options- eggs, cereal, omelettes, bread... so impressed! Thank you!!! Location is fabulous! Walking distance to all the shops and to Amherst College. ;)

The wife and I spent one night in a one bedroom, basically an apartment. It was clean and super comfy. A stall shower in the bathroom with great water pressure was so nice. The kitchen had a fridge, stove and a toaster. Also a coffee maker and a nice table to sit at and enjoy breakfast. Fruit, cereal as well as pastries and some Thomas' English Muffins were provided. Great location and a reasonable rate. Will definitely make another trip when returning. We slept really well here.

It's really just your usual continental breakfast but when you didn't expect this and they do have food for you for free, its kind of a nice surprise. - The bedroom itself is actually very renovated as all the furniture and beds felt very new. Also, because it doesn't seem like a lot of people stay in this hotel, the room feels not very used which is nice. - Lots of USB and charging ports. Honestly, probably the most I have ever seen in a hotel room which is pretty cool! - Supportive staff! I needed help booking a cab and they were all very helpful and nice about it. Cons - The bathrooms were a bit old and there was some problems with the way it was modeled, at least in my room. The sink handle was a little loose so there wasn't a differentiator between warm and cold water and the shower faucet (I'm not sure what it was called) was angled and so the water didn't come out straight. - Would've appreciated if it was closer to a supermarket or some sort of thing as in order to get anything you do need a car. Overall, not a bad stay at all. Can't imagine why there would be people staying here unless its affiliated with one of the Universities in the area but regardless, glad I got to experience this hotel.

They even had a good sized indoor pool for grown up and kids to play in. Everyday free breakfast, you can tell the cook take pride on how they cook the food and present it. The best part, the staff. The staff was so accommodating on everything and anything, the worst thing they can say is NO if you ask. They switch my rooms, they threw in a microwave, they made cookies for my every evening , wowzer. Shoutout to the mgr in the suit, super friendly and easy going.
