The rooms are stocked with snacks and there's some local artwork you can purchase if you like. The upstairs suite doesn't have any kind of a kitchen, though there's a mini-fridge and I believe a microwave, so dishes are bussed out as you use them; don't plan on doing any food prep on your own. The hostess brought breakfast to the room (there's not a common dining room like most B&Bs) and pointed out the local ingredients including eggs from her chickens and vegetables from the garden. This is a real working mini-farm and it's fun to stroll the grounds and see what is going on. And it's VERY close to the northeast corner of the campus; we were able to leave our car and walk to his dorm (Van Meter) in about 20 minutes. Like the website says, the grounds are very rich in animals and there's an extremely friendly cat who wouldn't stay out of our room in spite of the management's desire to keep the premises pet-free. Keep this in mind if you have allergies.

The wife and I spent one night in a one bedroom, basically an apartment. It was clean and super comfy. A stall shower in the bathroom with great water pressure was so nice. The kitchen had a fridge, stove and a toaster. Also a coffee maker and a nice table to sit at and enjoy breakfast. Fruit, cereal as well as pastries and some Thomas' English Muffins were provided. Great location and a reasonable rate. Will definitely make another trip when returning. We slept really well here.

My daughter and I felt so comfortable in the warm, and spacious carriage house upstairs. And the garden is such a treat!! Breakfast is top notch as everything is made fresh to order by Marie (the owner) and her friendly staff. They make anything from eggs any style, pancakes and French toast out of their homemade bread. Sausages are made at a local store along with their thick slices of bacon. Sheets and linen are freshly washed and smell divine. Overall, cannot rave about this place enough. They even had a good sized indoor pool for grown up and kids to play in. Everyday free breakfast, you can tell the cook take pride on how they cook the food and present it. The best part, the staff. The staff was so accommodating on everything and anything, the worst thing they can say is NO if you ask. They switch my rooms, they threw in a microwave, they made cookies for my every evening , wowzer. Shoutout to the mgr in the suit, super friendly and easy going.

The staff here seemed extra attentive and responsive, most notably re-housing me when the initial assigned room was too close to noisy ventilation areas for my comfort. It appeared that they had a regular routine of walking the premises and staying alert to any challenges. The railroad/long style of the single room was a bit larger than I needed, but okay in general. An included couch was an unexpected bonus and especially enjoyable for my cat who was traveling with me.
