What a lovely room, view, and weekend. Perfect mixing of fresh decor in historic and gorgeous setting. Warm hospitality from Deb, Gail, and Gracie the dog. And so easy to fall asleep to the sound of the falls.

I would stay here every time I came to western mass if I could! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I was here for a wedding and needed to check in early, which they were able to help with. I had the "reading room" which was fit for a single person and I enjoyed actually reading in the reading nook. Everything is clean and well designed. The breakfast was magnificent: coffee, croissant, and frittata was perfect. Highly recommend!!

Stayed here as a last minute reservation while on our way to Northampton. It's charming, quiet, newly renovated, and positioned beautifully along the River. Our room had a beautiful view of the geese in the reviver, and a calming, welcoming feel. The staff are extremely accommodating, and the breakfast at the cafe is AWESOME. (I recommend the biscuits!!) I have put this on my list of "stays" I would absolutely return to, and I fully recommend it to anyone who is staying in the area!

    Large and clean bathroom

My partner and I had a lovely overnight stay! Old Mill Inn definitely feels like a cross between hotel and b&b. The room was clean and spacious. Sound of the tiny river was like white noise and really nice at night. I would definitely stay again.

Old Mill was the most reasonably priced B&B in the area ($115 a night), so we were excited to finally plan a little getaway. Once we arrived, the Old Mill was beautifully decorated for the season. The sound of the running water below us, pumpkins, leaves.... I knew we had picked a winner! I had read a few other reviews about the Old Mill, and one was that it smelled a little musty, which I agree... But what do you expect when the building is super old, and the place is filled with antiques? By the looks of this place, it seems it should be haunted. Our room was very clean and neat. The downside was that one of the bathroom lights were out, and the bed was really smooshy (we prefer firm). Regardless we made due and had a good night sleep. We woke up to get ready for 8am breakfast in the dining area. The plus about the Old Mill is that it is a B&B on a larger scale (9 rooms). You can enjoy your breakfast at a table alone rather than some of the smaller B&Bs where you meet the other guests by sitting at one large table. Ted, the owner was super friendly, and had our table set with fruit salad, muffins, coffee, tea and brought us strada (I never heard of it before but eggs and cheese = delicious). We had a great time taking in the view, hanging out in Northampton and celebrating my birthday. Thanks Ted!

Nice setting for a simple breakfast. Tables outside are nice. Too bad that's the only food service.

Pro - location. Northampton is a great little town…read more Also, the front desk staff is extremely friendly and is doing their best to go above and beyond. But, I had to knock off a star because the Wifi in the rooms doesn't work. This is a massive disappointment for what is supposed to be a modern hotel. As is the case with technical things, I assumed it was a me problem. The friendly front desk staff explained that the public WiFi works fine but the guest Wifi is problematic. This means that after driving for 2 hours and arriving hangry and with hours worth of work to do, I have to sit in the lobby to get anything done. It is challenging to focus because there are other groups here talking. I am loyal to the Marriott brand and have the gold lifetime elite to prove it, but I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. After a day of work, I want to be able to settle in my room, order some food, take my bra off, and do the work I need to do to get ready for the next day. So I must say, this is a huge disappointment.

They have wine and beer for sale. Neither selection is great but duckhorn reds are a strong option. No IPAs for beer and that's disappointing. Wifi was also disappointing and the TV was very strange, rebooting several times before we could watch anything. Hot water seemed limited when we were there but perhaps they were booked up and we were all using it at once? We enjoyed our stay and will return.

It's an odd building (probably a few buildings cobbled together for the main hotel) but very charming. The restaurant and bar are strangely designed but definitely comfortable. The lobby area is large and welcoming. There's a beautiful front porch that is enclosed and looks like it was once a fully outdoor porch. I always find myself camped out there for part of the visit. You can find outlets to charge phones and laptops here and in the lobby as well. They have additional buildings and I've stayed there as well. Everything is very comfortable and you can make a short or long term stay work out very well. People are nice as you might expect. On our most recent visit, our room 300 was noticeably musty but opening the window for a while seemed to clear that up. Parking is limited if you want a space near the hotel. They have 10 minute spaces to allow guests with heavy bags to unload and there's a one story elevator to the parking lot to make the building accessible to anyone. The location could not be better. You can walk to a variety of excellent restaurants and shops. It is very easy to find and a few minutes off I-91. If you're a runner, take a left out of the front door and Smith College and a very nice park are just up the street. There's a reproduction tavern under the restaurant that I think may only be open for brunch on Sundays? I've never noticed it being open. There's an outdoor garden patio that could not be more beautiful. I think I recall seeing them serving out there but don't hold me to it. I'm usually here in the winter or shoulder seasons. There must be a reason why they don't use this as their main bar. Possibly accessibility? It's just another one of the odd layout dynamics of the Hotel Northampton. I would characterize it as charming. The bottom line is that I would stay here as often as I could. I don't even consider looking somewhere else when in the area. I think you would enjoy it if you gave it a try so please do!
