The rooms are stocked with snacks and there's some local artwork you can purchase if you like. The upstairs suite doesn't have any kind of a kitchen, though there's a mini-fridge and I believe a microwave, so dishes are bussed out as you use them; don't plan on doing any food prep on your own. The hostess brought breakfast to the room (there's not a common dining room like most B&Bs) and pointed out the local ingredients including eggs from her chickens and vegetables from the garden. This is a real working mini-farm and it's fun to stroll the grounds and see what is going on. And it's VERY close to the northeast corner of the campus; we were able to leave our car and walk to his dorm (Van Meter) in about 20 minutes. Like the website says, the grounds are very rich in animals and there's an extremely friendly cat who wouldn't stay out of our room in spite of the management's desire to keep the premises pet-free. Keep this in mind if you have allergies.

Some of the expected things like fresh produce including squash and apples are also available right now. There's also a large selection of homemade jelly, jam, and marmalade. They have two different bakery sections. One has cookies and simple baked goods, and the other has things like mini cheesecakes and eclairs. Inside the store, they also have their own wine. Dick and Nancy Zimmer are the greatest hosts ... lovely, interesting, inviting and so welcoming. I've stayed twice at the Inn (I'm on the West Coast so weekending isn't possible). There was a six year break between our first visit and the second, but when we pulled into the driveway it was exactly like coming home! Dick was out to meet us (with the dogs), and it felt like we hadn't been away. The downside? It was tempting to stay chatting at the breakfast for hours on end. They have given us great tips on where to go and what to see, as well as discussing life in general! I love the rooms ... they're comfy and unique.
