There are so many favorite beers at Two Weeks Notice. While they were out of our favorite, Pink…read moreSlip, There is always something else that we like to choose from. This brewery tends to have the biggest selection of different types of beer to choose from, and you won't find yourself saying wow, they have a good IPA but I don't like their lager. This is one of the few beer breweries where I will actually buy their Irish stout because it is yummy. You will also notice that the artwork is quite interesting as well, done by a local artist. The food here is your basic snacks, and we don't mind if we have to have a couple of pretzels with dipping sauce to enjoy our beer outside with. If you like inside, the inside has spacious sitting and it is really nice to have an option where you can sit with someone and have a conversation and not feel like you need to shout over the people next to you. It is just great. I took home the Two Year Anniversary cans, which is a REALLY smooth and tasty ipa.

Two Weeks Notice is the kind of spot that reminds you why Springfield has its own brand of cool. It's got that gritty‑creative, blue‑collar‑meets‑art‑kid energy, and the brewery leans all the way in with its Simpsons‑inspired humor, cheeky can art, and a vibe that feels like the unofficial taproom of Cool Springfield, USA. The Simpsons theme is everywhere--subtle enough not to feel gimmicky, but clever enough that fans will grin every time they spot a reference. The artwork alone is worth a visit; it's playful, bold, and gives the whole place a personality that stands out in the Western Mass beer scene. The beer selection hits that sweet spot: hazies for the juice chasers, crisp lagers for the purists, and a rotating lineup that keeps regulars on their toes. Everything is poured fresh, cold, and with care. The staff? Genuinely friendly, quick with recommendations, and clearly proud of the place. It's the kind of team that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. This is one of those rare breweries where bringing kids doesn't feel like a chore. There's space to roam, things to look at, and a relaxed vibe that makes families feel welcome without sacrificing the adult fun. Springfield needs more spots like this. The outdoor space is a total win--open, comfortable, and perfect for warm‑weather hangs. Whether you're sipping a flight, letting the kids burn off energy, or just soaking in the neighborhood, it's one of the best parts of the experience. Cheers

COVID-19 Wedding We…read morefell in love and booked this venue a year in advance. Due to COVID-19 restrictions put in place by The Governor Charlie Baker we were unable to hold our wedding as stated in the contract, a contract that we had paid in full. We had to forgo our wedding becuase of the Pandemic and ALL of our vendors except Mill 1 refunded us and were extremely gracious. The owner believed that he was not in breach of contract even though we paid for a space for 50+ guests, a dance floor, & a bar which due to COVID-19 he was unable to provide any of those things. its NO ONES fault that these restrictions were put in place it just comes down to being able to provide what was paid for. None of us would have thought a year ago that we would be "social distancing" and wearing face masks everywhere we go. The owner stopped replying to emails after we asked him straight up (so he would simple have to say YES, he can provide us with was was in the contract or NO, he cannot. ) We had to get our lawyer to reach out and inform the owner that he was in fact in breach of the contract & that further action will be taken if he continues to refuse to return our money. Of course the morning after our lawyer was in touch with him we got an email back from John. This time stating that we could have our wedding at Mill 1 BUT with only 25 people inside or with 100 people outside at another location outside the building of Mill 1 (which by the time our wedding date came around was no longer allowed in MA due to further restrictions put into place). But that is simply thats not what we paid for and were promised by our conrtact that we had signed and paid in full. We paid for the gorgeous building and the ambiance it provides. Not something out in the parking lot with less than half the guests we wanted. John would still not address the fact that we couldnt have a dance floor or a bar. He told our lawyer that he would give us half of our money back but only if we signed an NDA (non-disclosure act) so we couldnt inform the public on how he chooses to run his business no less how he chooses to treat consumers during a PANDEMIC. Our lawyer asked him for that in writing...we never got it. Spoke to our lawyer today (7/29/2020) and we have to formally sue the venue, John Aubin had no response to the letter our lawyer sent over on 7/21/2020. Today is 9/8/2020 and yesterday we finally recieved some kind of correspondance with the venue. We got an email from Regina (event coordinator) asking us if we would be using the space on 9/12/2020 for our wedding. Our attorney reached out to the venues owner John Aubin on 9/5/2020 to inform him that we would be continuing with our choice to not modify our wedding that we had paid in full for & that he could reach out at any time prior to discuss options but either way we would be continuing with legal action against Mill 1. We got no response from him. The email from Regina was fowarded by us to our attorney who kindly informed her of where we stood on the matter. Please note that Regina also mentioned that we needed to respond to her by 9/8/2021 (yes, she said 2021 obviously meaning 2020) so they decided to reach out at 1am, on a Holiday weekend, only 5 days prior to our original wedding date, and give us 1 day to respond, ONLY after the owner recieved notice that we would be persuing further legal action, coincidence? We dont think so either. Today is Monday, 9/14/2020 - our wedding was supposed to be a few days ago, no word from venue. Today is 12/30/2021- Yes, the end of 2021. We haven't heard a thing from John Aubin BUT we got an official court date today. We will see him in court January 26th 2022. Today is 1/26/2022 - Court was cancelled DUE TO COVID (ironic isn't it?) 4/13/2023 TWENTY TWENTY THREE- we've been to multiple court dates and John's tactics have works, we're exhausted new parents and we can't do it anymore ‍ anyways, a word of caution, stay away. We've spoken to SEVERAL other couples who have also had to sue the venue and WON (they got their money back thank goodness)

My waitress was awesome very friendly, quick to get me my order quick to get me my drink, I asked her about the menu. She was very happy to help with what she thought was good. I told her what I was looking at, and she suggested the four course Special where I could choose most of the things I wanted. And they did it for a price that was more than reasonable I was actually shocked that it was such a low cost. The food was delicious. I could eat a whole bowl of those brussels sprouts and nothing else and been happy. The salmon was cooked perfectly at the top it all off I had dessert which I hardly ever do and that apple strudel was delicious. I was a little confused by the layout of the restaurant, but it still seems inviting and warm. There was absolutely nothing negative about this place it just didn't have a flow to it if that makes sense. There was a lower dining area and there were some wall between the bar and part of the dining room, but the wall had windows it almost felt like an addition put in later but it wasn't. I don't know I'm not a restaurant designer. The most important part is that the atmosphere was great. The food was better and the staff was awesome. I will be coming back in soon and probably every time I come into town, which I hope is more often just so I can eat here again

I took a friend here cause we went there last year for her birthday and she requested to go again…read morebecause we both enjoyed the Redfish Novelle dish which once again was flavorful and enjoyable. I did feel that the presentation could have been a little cleaner and a little more rice but the dish still held our tastebuds satisfied. We are both gluten free which can be difficult . We ordered their price fix menu which included salad, main dish and desert. We decided that was a good choice. The salad came with a lot of unsavory dead end pieces in it which immediately affects the taste and look of the salad. I would give that a very poor presentation with just a small amount of taste. The deserts that came with it were all gluten deserts. That required us to order an extra dish, the bananas foster which should be good. The presentation was not good at all. The bananas were not caramelized which is part of this signature dish and the bananas were mushy and tasteless. It came topped with ice cream. All in all a disappointing addition we had to pay for. The service was very good and I did tell the waiter of our disappointment with the bananas foster and he said " I am sorry" , I guess I should have asked for the manager but the waiter did suggest to take home the two deserts that we were owed. My husband would probably enjoy them. The cheese cake was very disappointing. It was dull, heavy and tasteless, I took a taste of the cheese parts. The apple strudel passable. They can do better. I know they have a large volume clientele but taste and presentation are key to returning customers at least it is to this customer and her friend. It will be awhile until we venture there again. Maybe they will take this review seriously and make some changes. I would suggest adding a gluten free desert offering to the price fix desert menu like flourless chocolate cake or chocolate mousse something if you want to attract a larger more versatile clientele. The redfish novelle is a very nice dish that I do recommend.
