This place is awesome! We chose this spot for their vegan options. There are only two, but they are really good. The vegan meatball appetizer comes with three very large "meatballs" and tons of bread! Their vegan pasta dish is HUGE I was very full! Features vegan chicken strips inside, not just veggies! We went with our friends who brought their 1 1/2 year old and the staff was very accommodating. They also have a fun bar area that was full by the time we left on a Saturday. This is probably my 1000th time coming to Latitude. I've been here for private parties, my birthday, graduation, Mother's Day everything. It's honestly one of the best restaurants in the area. I haven't been back since Mother's Day. My drink was good but it didn't taste like it had any alcohol. BUT the tacos??? Omg. I got the brisket tacos and the flavor was so good! My husband and I were traveling from Florida to Maine and have a good fortune to find this restaurant on OpenTable late on a Monday evening. We were seated promptly and really enjoyed our server Brooke. She was very helpful with suggestions for the menu, checked on us frequently as needed, and was just a joy to have as our server. My husband had the New England clam chowder and the Wagyu burger and it was delicious. The best burger he's had in quite some time. I ordered the ricotta and crusty ciabatta and the texture of the bread was out of this world. The ricotta pistachios and honey were delicious and I could've made a meal of just the bread and cheese. I ordered the short ribs and i they were the best short ribs I've had in a long time. I've been to some great restaurants and latitude's short ribs were some of the best I've ever had. The short ribs came with a platter of roasted carrots, fingerling potatoes, beets, beet greens, and a wonderful savory sauce which tied the dish together.The short ribs were tender ,melted in your mouth and were absolutely amazing. I had a serving of local lager, abandoned building and I found that wonderful as well. Servings were plentiful and we were stuffed but we took a crème brûlée for the road and that was delicious as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for the delicious food and wonderful service. We visited to celebrate our daughter's college graduation and were looking forward to a special dinner. The food was generally good, but the service was unexpectedly awkward throughout the evening. The first odd interaction came when our server insisted on seeing IDs for my husband and me before serving a bottle of wine. While we understand restaurants must follow alcohol policies, it felt unusual given that we are clearly well over the legal drinking age, and we did not observe the same requirement being applied to other adult guests ordering alcoholic beverages. When we declined appetizers because we had eaten a late lunch, our server seemed surprised and repeatedly questioned the decision. Later, after noticing bread being delivered to other tables, she commented that she assumed we wouldn't want any because we weren't ordering starters. We assured her we would enjoy some bread, but it never arrived. The final disappointment were the two filets ordered medium that arrived well done. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, we chose not to send it back and simply enjoyed the evening with our family. None of these issues alone would have warranted a review, but together they created a service experience that felt unusually uncomfortable and inattentive for an otherwise very nice restaurant. We left with fond memories of our daughter's graduation celebration, but unfortunately not of the service. read more

Tough to review this place. We had high expectations, but unfortunately were let down in several ways. The service was friendly, but we ordered drinks and waited at least 20-30 minutes for them. Our appetizer ended up coming out first, which was actually very good. The drinks were not good. The pineapple mojito was wrong, which they did fix but it still didn't taste like a mojito and the sour was probably a poor choice because it was just super fake sour mix with alcohol. The food itself was good, but my husband got the wrong food so I had to eat mine while we waited another 20 mins for his correct order. We didn't take our chances on dessert. read more

Was visiting the area and looking for a quick bite , found this place and this is how it went : Service was good as the young lady at the bar was very pleasant and attentive. Place is kind of quiet for 1pm in the afternoon I expected a bit more action . The menu is really small and not that many options . We had the Lobster Bisque ( soups of the day ) and it was very very good . My boyfriend had a burger and I had what was supposed to be a Cuban sandwich but in all honestly was far from it , it was cold and tasteless . They certainly need to work on that . read more

Fire place in the background made it wonderful for lunch. Had a family moment. Mocktails are delicious here and the service was great. How did I miss the parm in the risotto? Didn't matter because they redid it for me. I don't know who recommended dessert but I am so glad that I got the pineapple guava sorbet. So tasty and refreshing. They have dry rub ribs and saucy. This place was truly a nice find while driving through Connecticut. I highly recommend this place in the staff were super friendly and sat us right away even though we didn't have reservations! They made a quick trip through the state a welcome place. Definitely excellent food and staff. The atmosphere of this restaurant was very quaint and we love the little fireplace too. read more

I went to order a Thanksgiving turkey for 4 today and they told me they were sold oUt. Online it says order online or call until 11/20 at 4 pm. Today is 11/18 at 4:05 pm. As someone who comes from a sales/marketIng background we would call this false advertising. If they are that tacky to have a limited supply on what they are going to sell ( how many turkeys) they should have told you " limited " etc. I will not be giving them my business in the future- I dont care for their business practices. read more

As a 30 years vegan, I was mistakenly given the body of a chicken to go instead of the tofu chicken. When I told the owner, Jeff, he immediately apologized, took the wrong order and corrected the order himself. The character of a man is how he deals with mistakes. We were a walk-in traveling through and decided to stop because of the good reviews. We were greeted very nicely at the door and helped right away. Our service/server Elijah C was wonderful, very attentive and friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The food was excellent, I had the tenderloins and it was cooked perfectly, my cocktail "the dirty" was great. Such a lovely experience and ambiance. This is from a take perspective as I haven't dined in, in quite some time. The past 2 times I've gotten take out from here the dishes have been very disappointing. I'm not sure if there is a change in staff or sourcing of ingredients but I've been very disappointed in my dishes. I've gotten take out consistently for the past year and the past 2 orders I have done have been quite different to the quality and standards I expect when paying Lattitude prices. The first dish I was disappointed on was the beef tenderloin, it was over cooked and poorly seasoned. I've gotten this dish a handful of times and it never disappointed until recently. It literally tasted of charcoal, one of the worst dishes I've had from anywhere, and certainly not what I would expect for the price. I tried the scallop dish, and the sauce was overpowered with garlic, and it wasn't advertised as a garlic sauce. I didn't find that the flavors complimented one another at all. The ravioli was hard, and the scallops were over salted. Not sure if it's just a take out issue, but I can say confidently that will be my last time ordering for a while. read more

Went with a group last week. Everything we ordered was great. Crisp Calamari w/ Shishito Peppers was really good. Had a sauce on it (which I normally don't like for anything fried), but was surprisingly tasty and stayed somewhat crispy. Braised beef short rib was also really good. If I went back with a group, I'd make sure I ordered the short rib flatbread appetizer too. Looked and smelled great. So many things on the menu that looked great that had a hard time choosing. Went out for an early Father's Day Dinner we started with trying the brisket tacos and the maple bourbon wings both were incredible!! I loved the fact that we could add an extra taco so we each could have one such a great idea. Then on to the meals i got the seafood paella, wish was amazing and very big portion, my husband got the Lattitude burger that was incredible as well and huge, my son got the steak and cheese flatbread, that he loved and his fiancé got the Buffalo Mac and cheese she loved and ate every bite. I would definitely recommend Lattitude the atmosphere outside was so nice it was a beautiful night with a bit of a breeze we had great sangrias the white and red were both awesome. Doesn't look like much and is not in a residential or typical commercial corridor neighborhood. Yet, the food was quite good. Began with Pink Moon oysters from PEI. They were great - balanced between sweet, with a hint of butter and a hint of brine - just perfect. The entrees were solid hits too, for the most part. The special of scallops with peas, and pea shoots over risotto was nearly perfectly done. The rice was almost crisp and everything was well balanced. The paella was chock full of seafood - clams, mussels, lobster - plus Spanish chorizo. There was an abundance of seafood. The rice was great - big kernels, flavored with saffron. But, a good paella is judged based on the crust that results in a paella crust. This did not, nor even attempt such a crust. Compared to the best paella ever in the US. Would I order it again - definitely not. It does not meet my criteria for a paella. If you want seafood and rice - excellent choice. The wine list is extensive and fairly good. Another genius creation from Chef Jeff. Lattitude has been my go-to for a long time now every time I come visit from NYC. Came here with my mom to catch up over dinner. She ordered the scallops, which is always a favorite and delicious as usual. I was intrigued to see a carrot vegan "pasta" on the menu. I was trying to eat healthy, so I asked the server if she could give me some more details on the dish. She explained it was in fact all veggies and I could add shrimp or scallops if I wanted to. I went for the shrimp and I couldn't have been more happy with my dish if it had actual carbs in it. The sauce is very tasty and the combination of roasted veggies that comprise it is what makes the dish. The shrimp paired perfectly as well. I will definitely be ordering this again or at least trying to make it at home! Service and everything else at the restaurant was excellent, as usual. I love to cook and my daughter doesn't. Since I'm 87 she thought it would be easier to order takeout for Thanksgiving dinner. WHAT a mistake. We followed the directions for heating. I should have taken the potatoes and stuffing out of the containers, whipped the potatoes, and put some broth in the stuffing and heated them on the stove. They were hard. I love squash but I peel them. With the skins on they were tough. Followed instructions for the turkey. It was so dry we couldn't slice it. The apple pie was edible but the apples weren't cooked enough. I'm usually not a complainer but this was over the top BAD! It wasn't a complete disaster as I had also cooked a ham.
