Let me just tell you all, from the location and the looks from the outside was not expecting much. This all changed when we were greeted by our waitress. She was amazing. The food really changed my opinion of the place. It was so good that we had breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. If I ever go back would like to try lunch as well. It is rare these days that the home fries are fresh potatoes unlike those frozen ones you find at other so called mom & pop restaurants. This place should be a must if you are attending the Big E or if you live local. You know it has to be good if the local PD eat there. If you see any of the men in Blue do something nice and pay for their meal secretly.

If there was more than five stars this local restaurant deserves it. This is a restaurant located close to Downtown Springfield in 67 Liberty Street. I got the pleasure to meet the owner he was very friendly. He takes pride on their food and service. They really go above and beyond for every customer visiting them. Our waitress Annabel was very hospitable. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered two big breakfast and every plate came with 2 eggs, a choice of bacon or sausage and each dish was served with pancakes. My party and I ordered some tea, our teas arrived with lemon on the side and honey. There is a whole menu of pancakes, great dishes, affordable prices. You really get a great value and an awesome meal here. We asked for suggestions because it's really hard to decide... the pancakes are phenomenal from peanut butter to bananas and chocolate/Strawberries/walnuts The tables were sanitized every time and hand sanitizer was available upon arrival to the restaurant. I was able to take a photo of the owner when he was preparing some dishes. Overall the experience was wonderful, the food was fresh, the pancakes were fluffy and had really quality ingredients, every bite was delicious and the portions were generous. The owner allowed us to try the chocolate pancake and I can't find a word to describe it!!! AMAZING food Keep supporting local business and if you are in Springfield this is a most go!!! Thanks again Felix and Annabel for been so hospitable. We will come back.

Airline crew here and was looking for another option for breakfast in Downtown Springfield. And I found it! Felix's Breakfast and sandwich shop. You won't be disappointed. I ordered the Big Breakfast, not because I eat a lot, I do lol. I was more than satisfied. Friendly staff too. This place will be well recommended to my airline peeps.

"Belgian waffle" sausage and scrambled eggs

I don't usually do reviews, but I feel like people need to know what they're paying for. Belgian waffles are not just a larger version of a regular waffle but that's what you get here. The food was just OK. And I know everyone's trying to save a buck but really cheap utensils made it impossible to eat my food. Overpriced and low quality. Never again sorry

Lots of different choices on the menu. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of parking on the street in front. Food was delicious.

No complaints here! I just wanted a quick, late breakfast and found this place on Yelp so I gave it a try! Very small, cafe/ deli vibes here. Service was pleasant and quick. Very reasonable prices for good food. Food was good- they have the fluffiest pancakes, my eggs were perfect, and sausage links are crispy outside but not over cooked. I will try lunch next time! UPDATE: I got a 'soup of the day' to go. It was chicken soup... I just tried it & its PHENOMENAL.

My wife and I went to Frigo's today (a Saturday). I ordered the "Classic Italian" and she got the cream of broccoli soup. Suffice to say, my grinder did not look anything like the featured photo on Yelp. For the "Classic Italian", I was expecting quality Italian bread loaf. Instead, what I got was a small, spongey, insipid roll of inferior quality. The meats were pre-cut and rolled into a small "cigar" that went into the grinder roll. This caused the sandwich to be unbalanced: when taking a bite from the left side, I got some meat, but when biting from the right side, all I got was veggies and bread. The sandwich was a chore to finish and I only continued to stave off hunger. Overall, the quality wasn't great. I have eaten much better Italian grinders at lesser known establishments. My wife complained that the cream of broccoli soup had an overpowering flavor of onions. I tried and spoonful and have to say I agree. The one redeeming quality is that the food was relatively affordable, with the "Classic Italian" costing $10 and the cup of soup costing $3. Maybe other grinders or pre-made dishes are better, but after considering what we got, we will not be back.

I mainly visited since it was nearby, but also because they offered a standout Ruben, keyword 'offered' as in they don't have it anymore. My colleague loves Reubens but he ended up having to order something else furing our visit. This ended up being a good thing because he was super happy with his choice afterward. I looked over the menu and there were other menu items also crossed off, but still plenty of options to choose from. Their burgers are handpressed but only 6 oz. That is a little small for me, especially when I'm hungry. After conversing with the gentleman behind the counter about my options, we both agreed I should go with the spicy fried chicken sandwich. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich which comes with homemade fries and their homemade green tea with ginger and mint. My colleague ordered the pork cutlet sandwich and said it was amazing due to the apple chunks on the sandwich. Both were actually daily specials listed on their board to the right of the menu. My sandwich was quite large and spicy with the fresh jalapenos and a spicy sauce. It reminded me of the large chicken sandwich at Longhorn Steakhouse, but this one was even larger and better. The fries are fresh cut which made this meal perfect. This restaurant is truly nothing special from the outside appearance and both my colleague and I even thought it looked closed when we were driving by. He also said he doubts they have any seating, but we were both wrong. Don't doubt yourself about this restaurant. It is a truly hidden gem with some uniquely prepared foods waiting inside. They had limited beverages. I wanted regular iced tea, but ended up with the homemade green tea with mint and ginger which was pretty good, but no free refills. Service was of course excellent. I interacted with the gentleman a couple more times as I knew I'd need a lot more napkins to tackle this food.

The small seating area is clean but lets you know that this is a great place for takeout. I entered about 15 minutes before closing (2:00 PM) and half expected a terse greeting. Instead, I was patiently given time to look over the menu of both meat-based and vegetarian dishes. I ordered the half grilled cheese sandwich with soup and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious, and a bargain at $15.95. If you're in the area for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend Eat!

We've both celebrated many a special occasion here in the 90s and this time was no different. I was extremely happy to see that absolutely nothing had changed. That kind of reliability is exactly what you want from your favorite restaurant back home. You basically want to leave it in a time capsule and walk back in after 30 years to find it right as you had left it. The place was bustling per usual. The server was fantastic. The wine was great. The house salad and house dressing were so good they made me want to scarf down vegetables. But the meatball grinder... THE MEATBALL GRINDER!!! (I now live in a place where we call them subs, but nothing compares to a good grinder.) It was culinary perfection: the bread was golden and crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The perfect balance of bread, sauce, cheese, and meatball. And the flavor of the meatball itself was perfectly seasoned and balanced. I'm already 100 miles away and I'm still thinking about it and will be for days... weeks... MONTHS! Until next time

They gave us a buzzer, told us it would be about 25 minutes, and we went into the bar to have a glass of wine and wait. I must say the chaos was beautifully controlled. Lots of room in the bar, and a spot to order drinks if you couldn't get a seat at the bar. Generous pour on the wine. And sure enough, about 25 minutes later our table was ready. Waitress was friendly, helpful, professional. Servings were more than ample. Fried calamari appetizer was delicious, crispy, not at all greasy. My daughter really enjoyed her chicken dish. I, however, was disappointed, and I blame myself. I should know better than to order eggplant at a restaurant. If I'm ordering eggplant rollatini, I'd like to taste the eggplant. I don't know why restaurants insist on slicing it so thin that you can't actually taste the eggplant, just the breading. It's not that it's an expensive ingredient, it's gotta be cheaper than the cheese....anyway, I'd go back but hopefully I have learned my lesson - if I want to taste eggplant, I'll cook it myself.
