This is a nice hotel for the price and perfect for a staycation in the Springfield, MA area…read more We got a queen suite that had a stove, full sized fridge, dishwasher and sofa bed in addition to normal hotel room stuff. The free breakfast is meh quality but hey, it's nice to have someone else cook for you regardless. There's a pool too that my kiddo enjoyed. The hotel is 2 minutes from Holyoke mall that includes a Target. We got a frozen skillet meal from Target to make for dinner our first night there. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Edited to add: As of August 2022 the staff was not masking, nor were masks required in any area of the hotel. The guests were mixed on masking. Many with N95 masks and taking breakfast to go to eat in their rooms mixed with guests not masking or distancing.

I had a serious unresolved booking problem there for my intended stay August 9-12, 2024. At check-in I was told, in sequence, "4 rooms left," then "2 rooms left," and finally "no rooms left" for any part of my intended stay. The sequence of having been told 4, then 2, then no rooms left was especially frustrating and seemed to me retaliatory for my mild expression of dismay, consternation, and frustration. My daughters and I arrived late from Logan Airport due to Debby weather, delayed rental car, and rain on the turnpike. We were attending my parents' funeral on the 10th. I understand that all people aren't going to be best friends; however, this night manager showed zero empathy. And worse, with the cockamamie room "countdown," I felt the manager exhibited personal animus. We stayed at an alternative--a nearby Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott--which we booked ourselves. Even so, on August 12, I received from Homewood Suites by Hilton an invoice and a paid receipt for all nights of the stay, August 9, 10, and 11. The only time spent at Homewood Suites by Hilton was in the lobby at 4 a.m. with the vindictive night manager counting down "4 rooms left," then "2 rooms left," and finally "no rooms left."

The hotel room didn't have a desk so I made a makeshift desk with the chair and an ironing board. I'm like the MacGruber of business travel. The pillows were actually decent and the room was nice too. The bed was comfortable and the guest bath had nice toiletries and a nice decor. It's way more expensive for a room than it should be considering the amenities at the casino. There's a sports bar that was huge and they also have an outdoor courtyard for watching sports (and other stuff too I'd imagine). Terry Bradshaw's head is even bigger on that TV. A lot of the restaurants are closed during certain weekdays, but the Italian pizza place/restaurant across the street was amazing. Go there for sure!

I also felt very clean in the room- no carpet (yay!). I also love that the casino is non-smoking. A few things that fell short of 5 stars- there is a place for valet parking- but no valet parking. On one side of the casino the ATM machines weren't working so we had to go to the complete other side. I loved the huge shower- and it was equipped with soap/shampoo/conditioner, but there was no shelf to put your own toiletries on.

The Mass Mutual Center is across the street, and MGM casino is a couple of blocks away. We were able to walk to a fantastic restaurant, Nadim's on Main Street. There is quite a bit of restoration going on of the historic city blocks. Our room was comfortable, the beds were great, and the bathroom was squeaky clean. We found a parking space in the smaller lot right behind the building. The included hot breakfast was ample, with a good variety of items. This is definitely one of the better Holiday Inn Express properties we have stayed at, and I am a platinum IHG member.

This experience was SO BAD I don't even know where to begin …read more Checkin : front desk definitely needs training on customer service and welcoming guests , they are more like robots . We get a room that was clean and presentable ( that's why the 2 stars) but that is basically it . We checked in around 2:30pm and after a long drive needed some rest , well that wasn't possible because the door slamming and running in the hallway lasted a while . Then at around 6pm the room next door to us had music so LOUD you could definitely hear it in the entire 4th floor . Gave it some time so see if it would stop , well it didn't !! This lasted till midnight , called the front desk twice and no one answered . At around midnight the music stopped and we could have some peace for a few hours until around 4am when the guest from the same room next door started either fighting or god knows what , sounded like slamming doors , kicking the door and punching going on . After about 20 minutes I called the front desk yet again and after ringing for a LONG WHILE , someone finally answered the phone . I explained the situation since the earlier issue with the music and now with the noise and the fact that we had absolutely NO SLEEP . The response I got was oh you should have called us earlier ( I did twice but NO ONE ANSWERED ) than the guy who answered the phone tells me he is going to send someone upstairs to see IF THERE IS ANY NOISE AND DISTURBING. Seriously ??? You think I just decided to wake up at 4 in the morning to call the front desk and complain about an imaginary problem ??? UNBELIEVABLE... that is all I have to say . Breakfast is decent but nothing special , however it's cold . Not sure why the sternos were not on . Checkout : no one asked how was our stay nor apologized for the fact we had NO SLEEP is peace in this place . I am pretty sure I'll be going back to MA . But definitely EVER STAYING HERE AGAIN .. do yourself a favor and find another hotel , there's plenty in the area .

TV & wifi very good and we both fell asleep fast and slept well! (that never happens). Coffee fine and breakfast had better than average options. Hotel eggs but salsa and tiny bottles of hotsauce were available! For oatmeal there was an excellent topping station with walnuts And almonds, plus strawberry compote and mango sauce, yum! King studio Room 303 was spacious and clean, smelled clean. Only drawback was no fan in bathroom, right next to bedroom. My favorite touch was the mini basketball court! Note: they take a small security deposit at checkin - not $1000 like it said on Booking dot com.

The coffee was just ok but I was happy to have it. The room was spacious and clean with a full kitchen that had everything you could need. The bed was comfortable and quiet except for one night around 2am when loud music started blaring from room 214 below me. Front desk didn't seem to be able to do much about it. When it snowed the parking lot was cleared off well and seemed to be centrally located to a lot of things. There is a sketchy Walmart across the street if you really need some things but I was warned to stay away from it.

The first person who greeted me was okay, and the bartender was okay - but after that it went downhill FAST. We had gone to bed early - after a dinner that was notable in that we thought it was a recommended one that was close - but it was a ways away on the freeway. Not a big deal, but curious. Once we headed up to bed it was like a circus started. There were young kids running along hallway, screaming, etc. After 9 it turned into a super noisy bath - felt like it was in our room and was loud, and the water seemed to go on forever. I'm not sure of the correlation, but this morning all we wanted was a hot shower before we hit the road - water ran, ran, ran - no hot water. Called down and was told - and I'm not making this up - we can move you to another room if you want a shower. I kind of thought that was the epitome of how to not deal with a customer, but then when I mentioned the kids making noise the comment was "well, you didn't call last night so we didn't know it was noisy". Yup - that is right. I should have but instead I tried the softer way by opening the door and asking if they could be quiet.
