Mel's was our first stop when we got to Cooperstown. Nice spot, good menu. Everyone was friendly. Place was pretty busy but we got a table quickly. Bathrooms could be cleaner. As far as our food, loved the tater tots! Sandwiches were good and came out quickly. Mels seems to be a go to place in the area.

Driving into Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame, I saw Mel's 22 at the corner while at the red light. I was lucky to find a parking spot right away, and decided to check it out. I was looking for a breakfast/brunch kind of place, but they do not have this type of menu. Pub fare plus a full bar menu. I opted for a burger and Iced Coffee. The burger was very good well served with a side salad. The service was attentive.

Really great food and service. We came here multiple times while staying in town for the Cooperstown tournament. We loved every dish we had.

This is by far the best restaurant in Cooperstown that I tried! It's a really cute setting and everything is so beyond fresh. We ordered a Cobb salad, a winter harvest salad and a turkey bacon on multigrain. All I can say is wow! The salads were amazing, because of the homemade dressings! Love them! The Winter Harvest salad was unbelievable with a wonderful crunch from candied walnuts. Turkey bacon sandwich we got was so crispy and delicious with fresh avocado and bacon. The servers were so busy and so kind and really worked hard. They made it a wonderful experience!

What an incredible restaurant! I went here with a group of 4 and was so impressed. Our server was very nice and attentive. I tried the mac and cheese, which was to die for. As my entree, I got the baked haddock which had incredible mashed potatoes, vegetables, and lobster sauce as well. And to finish the night off, we ended with slices of chocolate cake- that was so rich. I would come back here consistently if I lived closer.

Classic American fare. Very friendly staff! The food was good but nothing memorable. Plenty of seating for larger groups

Sub par food and snooty, unfriendly staff. Guess that's why the place was 1/2 empty.

There is a bar as well as booth seating but no direction or indication of waiting to be seated or seating yourself. I didn't want to go unnoticed so I sat at the bar. (Most of the tables are past the entry way and bar area). There was a family group, a few couples and a group of guys playing darts off to the side. I sat there for more than five minutes before I was even acknowledged. I know this because I could see the Guinness Countdown to St Patrick's Day (down to the second) from my seat. There were 3 girls behind the bar but one seemed to be doing most of the bar work. As I put on my jacket to leave, I finally had the attention of one of the girls so I decided to take my chances and stick with my dinner plan. She got me a menu and asked for my drink order. There weren't any hard ciders on tap but they did have canned Awestruck (local). I noticed the fried pickle appetizer and asked her about it. She told me they were spears and very popular. I decided to take her recommendation and ordered them, along with a Cooley's Handmade Burger with sautéed mushrooms and swiss cheese. My pickle fries came out first since they were an app and I can tell you two things about them...the portion was huge and they were absolutely the best I've ever had! Not long afterward, my burger arrived and that was really tasty as well. I opted to bring the rest of my pickles home and I can tell you that even the next day, with the help of the air fryer, they were still tasting great! I am so glad I stayed!

Both the soft roll and the fruity bread were so tasty, and the salty butter spread nicely on them. I had the prime rib, which was tender and flavorful, paired with asparagus and a baked potato. He had a NY strip. Both were perfectly cooked. We were so full and satisfied at the end of the meal that we didn't have room for dessert, but we loved the food so much.
