Pot roast French dip w/ gravy for dipping. Those homemade chips

Fresh food. Homemade potato chips are delicious. Relaxed welcoming environment. Nice stop for early dinner

The inside is nice but a little dark. The people next to us were annoying but that's not the restaurant's fault. Service was nice and made sure that we were taken care of. Everyone enjoyed thier food, but the waitress never asked how we wanted our burgers cooked and they were not done enough to out likings. Other then that it was a nice family meal.

After a long day of settling in kids into their barracks, we needed to refuel and decided to visit Cooley's. The service was quick, accurate, and friendly. The restaurant had a homey feel and the staff were very attentive. The food and drinks hit home, the grill cheese was gooey, fries crispy, and beef brisket was so tender and juicy!!

Very good Reuben Burger. Huge burger. Was recommended by the waitress. Very busy place but worth the wait. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Good atmosphere.

Chicken tenders

Ok, solid Irish bar had the Ruben that was a hit, my buddy went for the chicken tenders nothing crazy good but solid. Had a little buyers remorse as the guy next to me had the wings and they looked awesome. Overall a solid place with good bar food and a good option.

This is my go to place when visiting the Hall of Fame. Never have I been disappointed in all the years I been going - my first visit was in 2004 with my wife who was pregnant with my son and the most recent visit was Dec 2023 with my now 18 year old son. I think I said it 10 years ago that this is a place for locals and people visiting the HOF but all are welcomed. The locals at the bar are friendly. The staff is great. The food and beer selection are awesome. As long as this place stays open I can guarantee I'll be back with my son and maybe grandkids?

Reuben sandwich with house made chips

Ellie our server was cheerful. The place was packed with NFL fans in a baseball town (lol). My Reuben on rye with a side of dressing and house made fries hit the spot!

As far as local choices are for a great pub\sports bar, Cooley's is king. Located around the corner from the Baseball Hall of Fame & Legends Field, this place would be my local watering hole. Street parking. Plenty of TVs to catch the games. Booths up front. Tables in the back. Decorated in baseball memorabilia. Friendly barkeep and customers. If not the locals, plenty of baseball fans stopping in for a break. Very good draft & bottle beer selection. Good menu. The wings were OK. We ordered BBQ and they came plain with BBQ sauce. In my opinion wings should be finished off in the sauce you choose, then the flavor really gets into the meat. But the real deal here was the French Dip. This had delish thin slices of house made roast beef but here served on a panini pressed ciabata bread. But they did not give the usual watery au jus sauce you get everywhere else. Here they gave one of the best brown gravies I have ever had to dip it in. Again house made from roast beef pan scraps. Fairly priced too. I highly recommend !

Where does one go after a huge helping of baseball? A local pub with great food and drink: a.k.a. Cooley's. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the bartender. First, and most importantly, they had Guinness and Ommegang on tap. I sprung for the rainbow ale Ommegang: a nice and hoppy IPA. I had the Jamaican jerk wings and a cowboy burger with their fries. Oh...their fries....the perfect firmness and crispness to scoop up ketchup, two by two.... Yeah, the fries were a hit. Burger was a perfect medium rare, with criss-crossed bacon for better coverage and easier bites. Also hits with the family were the beer pretzel and veggie burgers, as were the Mac and cheese wedges. There was a big argument about how to apply ketchup to the fries. The whole family, except my wife, agreed that fries must be dipped or scooped. One does NOT drizzle ketchup over fries. Sacrilege. I found the wings to be really well made. They were big, not dry at all, and grilled, not fried, while still being crispy. Each piece is considered a one or two bone piece, not the entire wing. The Jamaican jerk was ok and didn't really taste like typical jerk, but it was still good. Service was great. Remember to tip well.

All the food here is fairly priced. The wings are cooked to perfection. Great environment while visiting historic Cooperstown.

Average food. A few orders were incorrect but after the long wait we didn't bother sending them back.

Red Juuuuuuuugggggggg!!!…read more So if you are looking to do some jager bombs, and drink some beer where the tap prob hasn't been cleaned in years and the glycol system might be non-existant... check this joint out. Prime thots and frat bros, pure macro americana beers and your shoes will prob stick to the floor. But hey, if you wanna re-live your college days, this the place to be! It's really not even as bad as I am describing either LOL

One of many Red Jug locations…read more Fun Pub that has certain nights where there's free food. You can also buy a jug here for ~$40 which lasts you a year. There's an entire system with white and black straps. Just ask and the bartender will explain it to you. This is a great bar for people that don't like annoying freshmen. They are strict on IDs so it's 21 and over only. Additionally, their apparel are a real hit on the college campuses around Oneonta. Go in and do a t-shirt challenge 10 beers of your choice or 4 vodka lemonades and you'll get a shirt and beer glass. (You can also just buy the shirts/hats, but it's a better deal to do the challenge) $5 off on Saturdays to do a t-shirt challenge. On birthdays, the Jugs gives you devil horns, a free mixed drink, and a free shot! Great place to be. You can also pay for songs and there's a pool table. My favorites from here is the blue raspberry vodka lemonade and their Long Island iced tea is the best out of all the bars on main street! Sunday nights are super laid back. There's always a lot of deals happening at the Jug.
