Best Taco Thursdays in area!
Julie C.

Best Taco Thursdays in area! Fresh & interesting "special taco of the week". Had spicy fried calamari, beef old school, brisket. Also enjoyed real shark. Great selection of drafts w/ some great local NY picks. True Gem! Kind staff & owner. Great food and prices. Digital Jukebox and wood interior. On route of snowmobile path and to many campsites. Near Amsterdam, Johnstown, Galway, Great Sacandaga lake , etc

Made a Project 29 visit before attending the drive-in across the street. Fun night!

Awesome staff! Super friendly bartenders! Great drink and food specials! They had my favorite IPA on tap, big plus! Also, they are right across the street from Ozoner 29 Drive-In Theater! Pregaming here for the drive-in was a perfect decision! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area, either for the drive-in or on my way to Utica or Rochester.

Notty cristo
Marissa N.

Notty Cristo Melba sauce was abundant and sweet I asked for honey mustard sauce n dipped away with this Texas toast sandwich. Southwestern Mac salad which was literally like a Southwestern tortilla chip with diced tomatoes was unique and also delicious.

a glass of beer

Stumbled upon this hidden gem by googling "pub food near me" while at camp on Great Sacandaga Lake. So glad we found it. The fish tacos were amazing (best I have had locally), Mediterranean pasta salad was excellent, and the drinks were great. We will be back and bring friends for sure!

Garlic Romano Wings... large crispy and super flavorful!!!

My husband and I go here often. The food is usually spot on, the beer selection is extensive, and the service is great!

I walked around to check out some of the other spaces outside of the restaurant area and I love that they have kept so many of the historical facets and spaces alive. In the meantime, I really had no idea that a "taco Tuesday" in Broadalbin would actually be something to talk about! First thing to note is portion size. Gigantic. We all had leftovers. A LOT of leftovers. And while it might not be real "traditional" Mexican food, the quality was excellent. Food was nice and hot; our server was very friendly. The only glitch we hit: the iced tea tasted terrible. Not sure what happened there, but the rest of the meal made up for that. I have no idea what the rooms are like or how it is as a hotel, but if you live nearby, you might want to stop by for a nice meal. We could tell that lots of regulars go there. Hopefully whoever the new owners are will keep up the quality of food.

My neighbor mentioned they got a new chef last summer and reportedly creativity & quality has notched up. Based our most recent experience, I would agree! I tried the chicken parm which was very good. As usual, service was friendly and prompt. Also notable is that the Hotel typically has a nice selection of draft beers.

She rolled her eyes and asked me what was wrong with it, I said it tastes bad and watered down even though my ice haven't melted, it was simply the drink itself and she goes I'll bring you one without ice then with attitude when u wasn't even done talking then goes complaining loudly to to another worker inside about it right in front of me for a solid 5 minutes. I clearly don't want the same bad drink, why would I want it again without ice? Then she comes out with the same drink and I said I didn't say I wanted a new drink of the same drink, she goes "then what do you want?" And I said I don't want anything, clearly annoyed by her terrible customer service & rudeness. Then she takes both cups and chucks it out in the container with more attitude and walks off. She ended up not removing the iced tea off the bill, when I clearly had her take it away after I did not enjoy it. For those of us that didn't ask for a drink, we weren't even provided water after being seated for 20+ minutes. This is an irregular occurrence from my experiences dining & working in hospitality for more than 8 years myself. Once customers are seated, you simply provide water without being asked. I asked for ice water for all of us & she came out with ice water for half of us. I understand the restaurant got busy and you have other tables to tend to, however, you should finish listening to our requests before walking off again. As for food, I enjoyed the bbq chicken Mac. It was a great dish overall & I would order it again. The calamari & fries were also good. Great view of the reservoir from outdoor patio.

Our server came over and we ordered a couple beers. Hubby enjoyed his Oktoberfest and I liked my go-to Guinness, both were perfectly cold and delicious. We decided to share 2 orders of boneless wings - hot and Italian honey garlic. These boneless wings were great! They really tasted homemade and fresh. The chicken was juicy, the breading was crispy. I loved the Italian honey garlic! It was super flavorful, definitely unique as far as wing sauces go. Hot was good as well, nice level of spice and flavor. Their blue cheese dressing was amazing! One of best I've ever had. The interior was nicer than I expected. TVs were mounted throughout. Perfect place for sports, beer and pub food!
