"Accidentally" stopped here before a show at the Glove theater. We were going to an "Irish" pub in Gloversville near the theater..."CLOSED". WHAT Irish pub isn't open at 4:00 on a Saturday? Anyway, we went to the Mayfield Grill and boy was it great! Sat at the bar "bar folk". Ladies behind the bar were great, helpful, personable, funny and on spot. We had an order of wings and ordered the bacon- chicken-ranch pizza (45 mins wait on a Saturday evening). Worth the wait! Everything was great, wings - excellent (honey hot wings were recommended, awesome!). Everything was excellent! A local watering hole where everyone knows everyone and accepted us as like ol' friends. Will definitely go back. And if you do, say hello to Gary at the bar (he's been a faithful friend and patron there since 1958) and be sure to wish him a happy birthday! The Cooks. read more

Got the BOGO 50% off wings (pick up order) a couple months ago. I've tried a lot of wings in this area and always just once because they're all small, dry, and over priced. These are definitely worth going back for. Hot, crispy, and the perfect kick. The blue cheese was also a winner. Delicious! read more

I very rarely give a five star review- but our dining experience at Mayfield Grill was EXCELLENT. The honey hot wings are crispy, tangy, and just a bit sweet- a beautiful balance. I can't remember the exact name of the pizza we ordered- something akin to 'the works' 'everything' 'super supreme' aka: the kitchen sink. It had like 8 toppings- and the flavors blended in a savory combination that was exactly what we were looking for... toppings were generous and not too heavy on the onions. DELICIOUS! We also appreciated a NY Craft Beer on tap: Druther's IPA! While Mayfield is a bit off the beaten path for us- its definitely worth the drive and we WILL be back! TIP: check the specials board when you walk in- after we ordered I noticed they had deep fried pickled!! Next time.... :) read more

I go to this place on my day off and it always makes me feel calm and welcome. The regulars that go there are always pretty funny to listen to and the bartenders are on top of their game. I've never found myself waiting for a drink and the food has never taken more than 15 mins with a party of 4. The food here is exceptional and fresh, I always recommend it to my snow-bird friends because you can never go wrong with this place. I look forward to going here in the summer because it's a blast. read more

My family went out for a few drinks and were treated terribly. I was born and raised in Mayfield and still live here. I have always been a non confrontational person and was treated with complete disrespect. We were seated by a waitress and asked if the patio was open. She said it was and we went outside after ordering drinks and playing the jukebox. We wanted to listen to the music we played and left the patio door open. Another patron closed the door to the patio so my brother opened it. The patron slammed the door closed again and my sister in law asked him why and he said it was because of the smoke. One person was smoking outside but it was on the far side of the patio. It wasn't close to the door. He was very rude and confrontational. We just wanted to listen to the music. The "owner" then slammed the patio door while saying. "The last U knew my key unlocked this door!" We left the bar and were treated like complete garbage. My brother was called to say we left a $32 tab behind when $40 was left on the table inside. I called to explain and was dismissed. I was told to stay clear of this place since the new owners took over. Needless to say I will never step foot in this establishment again! Word of mouth can make or break a business. In these uncertain times we should really appreciate our customers. read more

Driving up to the Adirondacks (to visit in-laws) from the Albany airport, I was looking for a decent local "village" bar where locals go -- something off of Rt. 30 (figuring places on 30 are mostly for through-travelers) -- lucked onto this place, and it's a gem. Looks like it hasn't changed since the 60's at least -- maybe earlier -- for sure the cash register dates to before the war, and probably then the bar does too. Plenty of patrons at the bar and tables well occupied too, but not too crowded at all. Excellent "bar food" -- I got the bacon cheese burger with macaroni salad -- decent portions and well prepared. A local pub type restaurant with excellent food and bar selections. Locals are frequent but visitors are always made welcome. All of the food choices are really good, but the Honey Hots wings, and Garlic Parm wings are some of the best anywhere. Burgers and sandwiches are great as well. The wait staff and bar tenders are excellent, especially Tracey. If your looking for a cozy little place to try out, this may be it. Nothing fancy, but a comfortable and friendly stop. read more

Go every Thursday for wing night. Half price, the wings are always cooked perfectly and anyone of their sauces are top notch. Best wing place in the county! I've also had their pizza which is pretty great too, the cheesy garlic bread is to die for! Service is quick and friendly, have never gotten a bad meal. read more
