I've driven past this place a bunch of times. There's always people dining outside, particularly women of various ages. They always look as though they're having fun. This time as I drove by, I had a friend and my dog riding along with me. Would they let us have dinner outside with my dog? I pulled up and walked into the restaurant to ask. Sure. We could sit at the high picnic tables near the front lawn. It was a nice, relaxing setting. Our server was Juliet, a very nice and helpful young woman. I ordered a Rustic Mule which was really a Moscow Mule and a Turkey Reuben with garlic mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a half pound burger with Dirty Fries. The food was delicious. We had a great time. I couldn't finish my meal. I ate half and took the rest home. Too bad. I was hoping to make it to dessert. The restaurant is famous for some sort of ice cream "flavor bomb," which I'll have to try next time. The dog, meanwhile, got a nibble of turkey from my sandwich and then sat down beside me. Parking screams dingy apartment parking, Really DARK inside.. like wow invest in lighting and not cheap lanterns on the table, it was cramped and hard to move around, also having a weird table setting under stairs kinda screams Harry Potter bedroom. Service I guess was okay.. can't blame callouts on long wait time. Food was nothing special, very generic, burger I got was dry, cheese wasnt very good, if there was supposed to be sauce on it, nothing. Fries I've had better, coleslaw a small 4oz dixie cup. Overrated Went for burgers at lunch time on a weekday a couple months back. Sat at the bar. The bartender/server (when she was there) wasn't very friendly. It wasn't busy either. I had been there during COVID when (no photos) signs were posted, wasn't impressed then either. Very average. Anyway, when you see a the burgers with and without the bun you'll see what I mean. The burgers were overcooked and dry. Needed a lot of ketchup and mayo. I can't have gluten so I asked for a lettuce bun. They don't have gluten free bread or pasta available. For $16 could you give me more lettuce than Wendy's? Also, I couldn't eat the smidge of coleslaw it came with as I accidentally learned had pineapple juice in it. I wasn't offered a substitute, just told not to eat it that if I were you. The fries were good. I'm not a fry person but I was so hungry from the puny burger I ate them all. Maybe they just seemed good because I was hungry. Very underwhelmed. Applebees is way better. read more

Came for Father's Day expecting more, but we were sorely disappointed. We felt rushed, they moved us to a weird table under the stairs which was uncomfortable. The wrapped shrimp was good but the clams were sooooo tiny and not worth the cost. Our food came before we were done with the apps. The food was mediocre at best, very subpar. We never got offered a refill on our water or soda, never got offered coffee or desserts. Then the waitress came over and asked us to vacate the table because other reservations were coming in! This place was a great find on our way back from the Adirondacks. The service was excellent with a super sweet waitress and quick food. Plus the food was excellent. My haddock sandwich was cooked perfectly and fresh. The batter was light and crispy. My husband's drunken meatloaf was flavorful and moist. The dipping sauce with the spiced fries was tangy and great change from your typical fry sauce. We liked the outdoor seating even though the road traffic was a little loud. Wow. What an unassuming hidden gem. Stopped there while driving north, visually the place is captivating, incredible decoration and woodwork. Discretely large space. Sat at bar, staff super friendly. HiUGE memu, I. Got the meatloaf, wife got the Cobb salad with chicken. Both were awesome. They have specialty drinks, I saw a couple other plates like the beer battered haddock that looked incredible. I also really wanted to try the short rib grilled cheese. Decent beer selection. Ordered wings and the fried chicken BLT. Sandwich was absolutely delicious. Bread was fresh. Chicken was crispy and flavorful. Sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. She was extremely accurate too, without even missing anything from our order. And the place in general is just beautiful. Tried Rustic Loft a few days ago. Sat in the loft. Wait staff was extremely friendly. I ordered the Fire in the Loft burger. I was a little afraid of the ghost pepper cheese on the burger, but the waitress assured me it was spicy but not insanely hot. The burger was fabulous. Juicy, spicy, cooked to a perfect medium well. Also, the sweet potato waffle fries were terrific. They were crispy, which is often not the case with sweet potato fries. A really terrific meal. Highly recommended! read more

I received a gift certificate from my mother who highly recommended this place! I called and made a reservation. While on the phone I was asked if there was a preference of where I wanted to sit. Not ever dining here before I asked what the options were I was told the "pit" which was downstairs in the bar area or upstairs which had a quieter atmosphere. I said well this is a long awaited date night for my husband and I (3 kids under 5) and would prefer quieter upstairs. We arrive for our reservation and were seated at the bar area. When I mentioned I asked to be upstairs she said I don't know what happened but it will be over an hour to get upstairs. We sat at the small table next to the bar. The atmosphere was loud and there was a large party down on the lower part of the "pit" area that was loud and obnoxious! I could barely hear my husband talk to me. Now onto the food. My seafood bisque was amazing. For my entree I ordered the meatloaf and mashed potatoes as my husband ordered the fried haddock and fries "dirty". My husbands haddock was great. He didn't care for the fries but he prefers thicker cut fries. My meatloaf was so salty I couldn't even eat it and the mashed potatoes had a weird taste almost like they were mixed with fake. When our waitress finally came to check on us I told her about my complaints and she asked if I wanted something else but I said no thank you. By the time my new meal came my husband would be done and I was already annoyed with the loud party and environment from the bar, I just wanted a quiet dinner with my husband. We received our bill which had my entree at full price that I literally took 1 bite from. The manager? A women with blonde hair wearing a white shirt walking all around not ever once came over to apologize for anything! I am not Covid crazy but am Covid cautious and this establishment is far from Covid safe! There is no spacing in the bar area. Where we were seated I could of touched the person sitting at the bar as well as the people on the lower part. The manager? Women in white shirt had her mask down below her nose almost the entire time, even when my husband asked her for ketchup. All in all I very dissatisfied with this establishment and feel sorry that my mother wasted her hard earned money on a gift certificate for us. read more

This place is so cute! The first time we went, we sat up in the loft section (which involved a walk across a little bridge upstairs which was pretty cool if you ask me!) and it was super cozy! Really, this place isn't all that big so the whole place feels that way! I have also sat outside and they were nice enough to allow my mom's dog to join us as well. Service is typically really friendly and helpful. The last time we were in, I'm unsure if my boyfriend and I were just seated in a strange place or if the woman had a lot of tables, but we were less than impressed. After receiving our food, I waited for a refill of water so long that I drank his, too. And then still never got a refill! Not the service we have been used to. The food itself is delicious! Their wings are crispy, just the way I like them, and some of their menu items are super creative. My favorite is the burger but add the caramelized onion jam to it, which is on the menu for other items. They are always so accommodating with these requests (my mom once added the bacon aioli to her burger) which makes me oh so happy! My boyfriend is a huge fan of their lobster mac and cheese. He's got this thing about how much lobster there is in a lobster mac, and he has never had a bad thing to say here! All in all, this is one of our fave places to go! The food is absolutely delicious. I had the "Fire in the Loft" Burger. It was the perfect amount of spicy. My personal favorite part of the meal was the sweet potato waffle fries. Firstly, I'm local to this gem and had never had a chance to stop in. It's you don't pay attention to the sign you'll miss it while driving by. The inside is cozy and warm. There's a section upstairs with a bridge to cross over the downstairs area where we sat that was very private. It felt very comfortable and out of the way! We were a party of 11 on a busy Friday night. The waitress Michelle was PHENOMENAL. She was fast, timely and very pleasant to deal with. She worked very well under pressure and was so considerate of the amount of people we had. Friendly at all times. Was at our table several times and on top of making sure we had full drinks and our needs were met. The food was amazing. Every single thing was flavorful, cooked the way we had asked and came out hot and fast. The portions were great and the price isn't very bad. Went in a Thursday evening. Packed bar, packed tables, packed parking lot. Had a guitarist who also did music trivia later on for free tickets to an Amsterdam semi pro baseball game! Scored a couple of seats at the bar. 2/1 pint beers. Happy hour we had missed but still a good deal on shock top pints. Menu was large with many choices of salads, homestyle entrees, fried baskets, burgers, sandwiches, you name it, along with a handful of specials. We chose the hot roast beef sandwich . They make their own Roast beef, tender and expertly seasoned, a sure winner. Came with ff's and a side of delicious rich brown gravy for dipping. I had the bang shrimp basket. Breaded shrimp deep fried with ff's and coleslaw and a bang bang spicy dipping sauce. Very good! Bar was bustling and upstairs tables all full as well as the downstairs. Something tells me this place is a gold mine and the food is the draw. Try it and I know you'll go back time and time again. Warm rustic atmosphere. Bands out back on Saturdays under a pavilion.
