Well here we are... in NY. Partners pub. Plenty of easy parking first of all. Love that. Started with some beers that were chilled perfectly. I'm not sure you need to read any further. Atmosphere was pretty typical of a pub. Bar was full. Some people standing but bar tenders were attentive to them as well.(which is something you don't always see. )Food was spot on and did I mention some live music as well? This is a cool spot in Johnstown. Seemed like the staff knew most of the customers, and the familiarity was actually pretty nice. The bar was busy..which is good. I came here for my lunch break. not the best idea since it was a tight squeeze time wise. service was slow/poor. i have never been to the establishment so i didn't know you sat yourself. after standing by the doorway for 2 minutes with the waitress and the bartender looking at me, i finally asked someone. seat yourself. alright. i sat down and two other tables walked in a minute or two behind me. both those tables got tended to first. irritated, i waited. finally she took my drink order, never came. then took my lunch order. when my soup came, i had to ask again for my drink. this was 15 minutes later. so on, the service remained the same. she seems nice and tending to her regulars. but me as an unfamiliar face not so much. Ok. enough, let's talk about the food. the french onion soup was the best i have ever had. quality gruyere on top and the soup was amazing. onions were sliced sloppy but oh well. i also got wings. i think it was 12, good deal. i asked for half medium and half garlic parm. skip the buffalo sauces. they taste like ketchup. not the buttery goodness they should be. but the garlic parm one were great. something better about them than other places. i wish the service didn't suck today. oh well. read more

Defiantly a beloved local place: super laid back... was packed at 5 pm, but the servers handled it well... great beer menu... the French onion soup was good, nice salad with the meal. I took a risk and had the halibut with grilled veggies which is probably the healthiest thing in the menu and was happy. My partner had the chicken and biscuits which he liked. I've been coming to this place for many years. They have a great selection of food items to choose from and drinks from the bar. They also have a jukebox, which is great because I love music! I love their soup and their fish fry, but I havent had a bad dish from there yet. They have always provided great service. I have been coming to partners for many years. I love the burgers they are very good. I have always enjoyed them. Not big on the wings though, the sauce is off, but the burgers are banging. Its also a nice spot to get a beer, especially for Johnstown. Its the only place I go to when I am around. read more

My wife and I worked there years ago before the Lanzis bought it. Any I have to say the food is great but my beef is the Mac salad. Dry , dry , dry over the past few months since we have came back every time the Mac salad that I loved is so dry with little to no mayonnaise and celery, carrots, onions and love. Chrissy made it best and there are three people who have that recipe. Chrissy , god , me , pat , and jimmy three of us still living. So yeah food is good but sides not so good. This place was amazing. First and foremost, you can tell when you walk in that it's frequented by regulars. What makes it so special is that the staff treated us as if we, too, were regulars. They were friendly, accomodating, personable, helpful...I can't shout out enough to them. I was a vendor at a block party and wanted to grab something to eat somewhere within walking distance, and this came up. Pub food always works for me, so T and I came over. A small menu with what you'd expect from a pub: appetizers, burgers, sandwiches. One appetizer stood out: hog wings. We asked, and Noel explained, and we ventured to try. Sort of like a rib, but not? I can't explain, but it does look like a wing. A delicious, porky wing, thick with juicy meat and crisped to crackling on the outside, done up with whatever wing sauce floats you (we got them on the side, a Thai chili and medium). They didn't fail to impress. For dinners, T got the haddock basket, and I got the clam basket. The basket was heaping full of fries and clams. The fries were perectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and the clams were done up in a light breading, not dense or heavy (and I still couldn't finish them). Also, side note, as I'm really picky about cole slaw...this one was delicious creamy. Then, seeing chocolate cream pie on the menu, well, I had to. Very good, Drizzled with just the usually Hershey's syrup on top, which is such a distinct flavor/texture, but the pie itself was thick, creamy, and chocolatey. Partner's Pub is our local "go-to" for pub style fare. A solid selection of craft brews on tap is a great foundation for anyone looking to pair a beer or two with a burger/grilled sandwich and fries platter. Their hellburger is my standard order with a side of [homemade] thin cut fries w/a side of gravy. The burger itself is flavorful but the toppings are what make this burger magical. Cheese, Chipotle BBQ sauce, and sliced fresh jalapenos top the tomatoes, lettuce, & onion. If you enjoy a pleasant amount of real heat...This burger delivers everytime. It is consistently cooked as ordered (medium rare) which makes my heart sing. My most recent visit included an order of their garlic parmesan wings. They were crispy, meaty, and dripping with an amazing buttery garlic sauce. I am including a picture, but it doesn't do these wings justice. Beers, burgers, wings... All spot on? YES! But it was the service I received recently that has compelled me to write a review for a pub I visit 3 to 4 times a month. Every other week I have a recurring lunch date with my better half and we have noticed how between the hours of noon and 2pm Partner's always has a solid lunch crowd. Most of the time Tina is our server. Tina is friendly, attentive, and never forgets to ask about our Lanzi's Rewards. (Yeah, a local pub offers a loyalty program!) When we ordered our wings... Just before they were brought out steaming hot... Tina arrived at our table... Inquired about our satisfaction with our pints of Sloop Brew: Boom Sauce and placed two saucer size plates, wooden bowl (wing bone receptacle) extra napkins and a couple 'Wet-Naps'. It was at this moment when I realized how well she attends us everytime she serves us. She anticipates our needs before we have them, our glasses get down to exactly 1/4 full and she is asking if we are ready for another... She smiles and she works hard to do a good job. She nails it. The Lanzi family owns several local eateries and a family member can always be found milling around onsite interacting with guests, asking how everything is and maintaining an atmosphere of fun relaxation. I very much enjoy dining here, this place has some of the best food available in Johnstown and you're not breaking the bank. It's a small-town pub feel with a very personable staff. The bartenders are super quick with the drinks and the waiting staff are always on top of things. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich and would refer this place to people looking for "the local spot". read more

Lanzi's Partner's Pub is wonderful hometown place for a delicious meal and a drink and a great place to chat with friends. Quite frequently when I'm entertaining a group of friends who aren't from the area, I will bring them to Partner's. In fact, my good friend Randy insists on coming to Partner's Pub before anywhere else when he comes to Fulton County for an evening. Partner's has a broad menu of delicious homemade offerings, including my personal favorite,the salads with Lanzi's outstanding homemade dressing (which is available in bottles). After dinner or later in the evening, Lanzi's has an excellent selection of drafts. I'm especially a fan of our regional domestics being avaiable: Genesee on tap, Utica Club in cans, as well craft beers like Davidson's and Saranac. It never takes more than a couple minutes to get service in either the dining area or in the bar, in later hours. The availability of the dining area later in the evening is what makes this place great for socializing. Even on a weekend night, when all of the seats at the bar are filled (as you'd expect), you can almost always grab a table with friends or colleagues. This also has the added advantage that you can sit down, which can be very nice at the end of the day. read more
