Review time kids!! (I'll keep this short) We hit this place while out running errands on a Friday night. This place is pretty cool, with two seating areas surrounding a center bar,all the walls are covered in old junk that one might see those two guys on American pickers over pay for. Meals were average and so was our service. Not bad but not great just average.. read more

Firstly, I'm local to this gem and had never had a chance to stop in. It's you don't pay attention to the sign you'll miss it while driving by. The inside is cozy and warm. There's a section upstairs with a bridge to cross over the downstairs area where we sat that was very private. It felt very comfortable and out of the way! We were a party of 11 on a busy Friday night. The waitress Michelle was PHENOMENAL. She was fast, timely and very pleasant to deal with. She worked very well under pressure and was so considerate of the amount of people we had. Friendly at all times. Was at our table several times and on top of making sure we had full drinks and our needs were met. The food was amazing. Every single thing was flavorful, cooked the way we had asked and came out hot and fast. The portions were great and the price isn't very bad. I would highly recommend trying this if you want just a drink at the bar or to take the family out for dinner. read more

We went on a whim, and we're so glad we did! Fun rustic atmosphere, full bar, excellent service, and fantastic food! Get something with the homemade bbq sauce because it's really something special - the owner was walking through so we were able to complement him on his sauce and request that he starts bottling it! Our camp is almost an hour away, but we will be back, and that's high praise considering the drive! read more

Went in a Thursday evening. Packed bar, packed tables, packed parking lot. Had a guitarist who also did music trivia later on for free tickets to an Amsterdam semi pro baseball game! Scored a couple of seats at the bar. 2/1 pint beers. Happy hour we had missed but still a good deal on shock top pints. Menu was large with many choices of salads, homestyle entrees, fried baskets, burgers, sandwiches, you name it, along with a handful of specials. We chose the hot roast beef sandwich . They make their own Roast beef, tender and expertly seasoned, a sure winner. Came with ff's and a side of delicious rich brown gravy for dipping. I had the bang shrimp basket. Breaded shrimp deep fried with ff's and coleslaw and a bang bang spicy dipping sauce. Very good! Bar was bustling and upstairs tables all full as well as the downstairs. Something tells me this place is a gold mine and the food is the draw. Try it and I know you'll go back time and time again. Warm rustic atmosphere. Bands out back on Saturdays under a pavilion. Amsterdam newest go to place in my opinion! Enjoy! read more

First time visit and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great, food was as advertised. I asked for a substitution and the server quickly said she thought she could do that. Food came quickly, beer was cold, everything was cooked well. Check the menu. If you see something you like, give it a try. The dining area is downstairs and up in what appears to be an old converted smaller barn type building. I'd go back for sure. read more

I love going to this restaurant. I love the aesthetic of the place and have never had any bad food here. The funnel fries dessert is phenomenal. The funnel fries are a good complement to the ice cream they are served with, topped off with the perfect amount of caramel and sprinkles. Definitely plan on going again as the food and the staff made for a good experience. Easily the best place to eat in Amsterdam. read more

Decided to give this place another chance when our go-to (Project 29 in Broadalbin) was closed over Labor Day weekend. We got a table in the upstairs loft, which was really cool. Our server was very friendly and prompt. This time the food is what was lacking, but only because the house salad was pretty boring (though the peppercorn dressing was A+) and the chicken tenders I ordered were of school cafeteria quality. I have had better chicken fingers at Friendly's and Red Robin, so these were a big disappointment. And the only IPA on draft was the same IPA they had on draft 14 months ago, so it seems they really aren't a craft beer destination. But the service was great and I know now not to order the chicken tenders again. read more

Love this place! So cozy - ambiance is everything! Really good food - tried just about everything on the menu, but HIGHLY suggest the seafood bisque. I love eating upstairs and overlooking the bar to watch the hustle and bustle of the patrons and waitstaff. Also love sitting by the fireplace in the colder months. Btw... waitstaff here are very accommodating. For a smaller place, there is TONS of room! They really pulled it off nicely! read more

Lunch here was terrific. Went with two other people. Everyone liked their choice of entree. Friend said the chicken sandwich was the best she ever had! Wait staff were very friendly and did an excellent job. Would def go back! read more

Great place, nice staff. Comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend to check it out. They have three screens at the bar and even play hockey games. That makes this girl happy. Eat the stuffed shrimp! read more

Rustic Loft - Raspberry martini - perfection. - Pubs Near Me - Amsterdam, New York

Excellent food and great ambiance. It has a very Adirondack/mountain-feel inside. You can't go wrong with any of the menu items. Delicious food and great staff. I highly recommend to anyone! read more

Love this place. We've been a few times. If you're looking for an excellent burger or steak this is the place to go. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Cozy environment. I wish we had discovered it sooner. read more

When you drive up to this place you are going to think they are super busy and the parking lot looks full. The parking lot areas are small but there are many of them. On the side of the building, in the back of the other restaurant, and in the way back. There is a pavilion out back that can hold tons of people so there is more parking out there. So don't be discouraged. This place inside is super rustic. You will walk into a large bar. There is seating in front of the bar and a few tables behind those sets. There is also a full upstairs with more tables. This time of year there is outside seating as well. We were going to sit at the bar and eat, but the bartender looked overwhelmed with drink orders, and he looked like he was having all he could do to be nice to people. It seemed like there needed to be 2 bartenders on a Saturday night with a band in the pavillion, so we chose to get a table. All the wait staff we encountered were friendly. We sat up stairs. It was dark up there. Romantic, rustic, and super dark. We could hardly see the menu. We got the southwest egg roll appetizer. It came with four pieces of egg roll, sour cream and salsa. Very good. Lots of flavor. My husband got a salad, which was normal side salad size. For his dinner he got meatloaf. This was a large helping of meatloaf and mashed potatoes covered in Gravy. They were not stingy on the gravy, I am not a gravy fan, but this gravy had great flavor. I got the turkey cranberry sandwich on nan bread. Very delicious. The best part was the garlic parm fries. French fries coated with garlic butter oil and covered with parm cheese... oh they were yummy. Everything was reasonably priced. We had been to this place a few times when it first opened and it was just ok. They have been open a few years now and you can tell they have their act together. After our dinner this time, we will be making this one of our go to places to eat. read more

Service extremely slow. Food overcooked.

Our food was great, especially the fries. The waitstaff was snippy at best. The room was cold, and we were told it was 75 degrees which it wasn't but, ok.... then all of a sudden the fireplace went on. I'm really not keen on the labeling of the rest room doors.... somehow it seems better names could be used! We will try it again, hope for a better experience with the waitstaff. read more

I went there for the first time last night to celebrate a friends birthday. The food was delicious, the drinks strong and the waitress was attentive and very nice. My only concern was that when we ordered fries, the waitress asked whether we'd like garlic, sweet potato or regular, without any mention that it'd cost extra. Then on the bill there's a dollar charge for sweet potato fries. If you're going to charge for an upgrade, be kind enough to let your customers know. Otherwise the food and atmosphere were great. read more

Rustic Loft - St. Louis style ribs with sweet potato fries. Generous portion for a decent price. I was overfill and couldn't finish my plate! - Pubs Near Me - Amsterdam, New York

What a wonderful experience at the The Rustic Loft!! We typically dine in Albany area, but we were meeting friends from out of town in the Amsterdam area for dinner.... we relied on YELP reviews for help, and they did not disappoint! Great food, great service, great people! Loved our dinner there and sooo looking forward to return! I wish this establishment were in my neighborhood in Albany.... food and service was thoughtful and considerate of all of our requests....so well done!!! I might add that our dinners were equal or better to that served at the high end country clubs in Albany/Capital district. read more

Incredible food and service! Stopped here on a whim and was very impressed with the theme.

We found this place randomly and what a great find! I had the burger and it was fantastic plus the fries were not oversalted. The atmosphere and outdoor dining section in front created an ambience and our server Lindsay was fantastic. If you happen to be in the area stop in you will not regret it! read more

Went with a group food was good and the service was ok they seemed to be a bit under staffed but the food made up for it

Great food and very nice staff, new addition outside bar with stage for bands is a great idea.

Very nice rustic theme. Beautiful design and nicely lit. Very friendly waitresses. Absolutely stunning. Their meat and veggie soup was fantastic. Definitely going for another time read more

I have eaten here twice and both times I was extremely sick (gastro symptoms). I'd call it a coincidence but someone else I know had the same thing happen. My guess is there's a lot of fat in the food (I have no gallbladder). They have a cool atmosphere but not worth it to be sick. I avoid like the plague. read more

Been there twice. First time waitress seemed like she had better things to do. Second time waited over an hour for our food. The waitress was very apologetic. Though the food was good, felt that the owner or manager should have made it a point to apologize. I understand the kitchen might have been backed up but to put the waitress as the one to express the apologies didn't seem right. Haven't decided if I will give it another go. read more

Beautiful place to eat or have drinks. Great food. Owner very friendly and can be seen helping out the staff

Would not recommend. Menu was deceiving. Ordered the chicken parm dinner which clearly stated "comes on a bed of pasta", however it doesn't. Waitress said the menus are wrong and are deceiving. I then ordered lime w/cilantro rice... well it was plain white dried up instant rice that seemed to have been sitting out for hours. The only good thing was our standard drinks. Will never eat there again and would not recommend it. read more

I stopped in to try this place. It I came in around 4:00 PM for lunch. The place was fairly quiet and had a warm atmosphere. The decoration more than lives up to the name and the selection of drinks and food was amazing. I had the fried pickles and lobster mac n' cheese. I would reccomend it to anyone. I would definitely go back. Great food good price. read more

Bartender was attentive, and the food I ordered, the Bang Bang Shrimp, was good Abe they support a local brewery. However, I think the price was a bit high for the portion size of the food. read more

Nice quite atmosphere rustic decor friendly staff good bar food great garlic fries ! Enjoyed fresh made tortilla chips buffalo dip could be bit Spicer or served with side of Buffalo wing sauce otherwise enjoyed every bit very responsible prices read more

Amazing atmosphere and even better food. i was apposed to coming for awhile just by the way the outside looked but my family finally convinced me. The food is all reasonably price and the portions are fair. I especially recommend their buffalo chicken dip. I also really appreciate how they keep the tables clean as you're eating. It's something a lot of places fail to do. read more

Visited for the first time during the coronavirus and ordered takeout. Excellent food, excellent service, full menu, and even a bonus. The portion sizes were more than enough- unlike some of the other places we have orders takeout from - had plenty of food leftover. Would highly recommend anything with their delicious gravy or a salad with their maple dressing. read more

Drink prices are quite cheap with a great bar atmosphere. However, the dinning experience is sub-par. Food portions are tiny for the price and little attention is paid to cooking to temperature. The service is also pretty bad, we had to request for condiments and silverware multiple times. read more

Our only complaint was that the pot roast sandwich (the Damn Yankee, I believe they call it) is rather small for the $13.99 price. It's wonderfully good though. I just ought to be about twice the size that it is. Or there should be two of them! The sandwich comes with a bit of slaw on the side, and a portion of fries large enough for two very hungry eaters, but still... it could use more meat. Curiously, pretty much every other sandwich on the menu is priced appropriately. They are only stingy when it comes to the pot roast. read more

Very clean place, AWESOME FOOD, and a relaxing environment to enjoy a drink in. Nothing beats these guys

1st time I went they forgot my buddies salad, no big deal. 2nd time we went they forgot my salad and my buddies salad then when they finally remembered, they gave my buddy the wrong salad. Then I took a big ol bite of my Coleslaw and pulled out a giant blond hair, the owner was directly behind us, took the hair and didn't even apologize for it. Not a fan. I officially give up on the place. read more

I have been here many times. Great service, good drinks & food. Enjoy listening to Aaron Mittler.
