This eatery is Just as closed today as it was in January. Great location but the doors are locked.

This is a bar and grill in the downtown area. Parking can be difficult but it looks like if you know the area there is a lot of public parking. The menu is very diverse and I had a hard time deciding. After asking the server way to many questions I chose the Mongolian BBQ bowl. She told me it would be VERY spicy. That was fine with me. This came in a big bowl with chili pepper and Sriracha sauce. It had a good kick to it and my mouth knew the spice was there but I thought it was milder that I expected. The chicken was grilled and had an amazing flavor. It had the fat noodles, i am not sure what they are called but they were good. We were A group of 6 . & were Seated immediately. Fairly quiet on a Sunday night, except only 1 server , Sierra. Sierra did an excellent job : efficient & polite & attentive . The food was very good. We shared the chickareena ( fried & battered chicken strips) & the eggplant fries ( excellent) . Both came with awesome dipping sauces . We loved the Mayo sirachia & the wasabi ranch . . Had a perfectly cooked hamburger with all the fixings - would have loved a pickle ( lol) they didn't have any. , but it wasn't waitresses fault. . Dessert was fried ice cream -it was not hot fried ice cream but still It was very good : , drizzled with Carmel & chocolate sauces I would def go back & I would highly recommend this place . The message I'm posting is how the head manager deals with teenage staff. This message is going to FOH and BOH so some might not apply to you but I'm not typing this twice. I'm pissed. I think you all have this idea that my hands are tied and you can fuck up cause I need the bodies for the summer but if I close this place down, it's Ravi's money I'm fucking with and all of yours. I get abused in this role and the only reason I do it is because my conscience can't handle everyone being unemployed because of my decisions. I think you are all testing boundaries cause what am I going to do about it right? That's a mistake cause I'm such a spiteful human. I will sink my ship to sink the people pissing me off with no regrets so here's how this is going to go from now on. I know someone is stealing wine and I know who it is, I know someone is serving underage and I know who that is, I know things are being taken and not wrung in, I know hours are being lied about. I know everyone has complaints meanwhile I let a lot of shit slide. I know some of you like to have attitudes with other employees. I know most of you are kids and do stupid shit but this is a job. I expect better and now I demand it. My kindness is over. Toward everyone. If you are in the kitchen, I don't want to hear about late hours when you spend the shift on the stairs instead of cleaning and doing dish and stocking and then you are there 2 hours past closing cause you decided to do that. You get a 15 min break and a meal break. If you don't take it fine. I put it in and add the hours back. If you want to take it then take it and I won't put the hours back. So now you get 15 mins each to sit on the stairs and besides that find something to clean when it's slow. Don't act like there's not a lot to do. FOH same breaks go for you, besides that find something to clean or stock, you can stand around for your 15 min break too but that's it. None of you can have any soda that isn't fountain soda. If you do it will come out of your pay. I have a crazy insane inventory going on with the beer wine and liquor for a few weeks since I noticed things missing, if more is gone it will be docked from your pay. None of the things I'm saying is different than any other job, I've been kind but I wont be taken advantage of. If you can't work a shift I expect the callout to go to me not other employees. That's the bare minimum for respect. If I hear or see anyone serving anyone underage from here on out you will be fired publicly on the spot. If you decide I'm a bitch for these rules and that screw it you will do what you want because you think I won't fire you and cut back on hours or close this whole damn place, try me! As a server I always try to be understanding and compassionate. The experience we had was beyond terrible. We entered with a larger party. Upon arrival the we ordered drinks, which took an extended time. Drinks were delivered and a beer was forgotten. We waited, but our waitress didn't return, so we had to go to the bar and retrieve the missing drink. Eventually our server came back and took our order. Several items were not available. We ordered appetizers and meals. After 45 minutes our appetizers hadn't arrived, drinks were empty and our waitress never came back. We then approached the bar to which the server blamed the kitchen. We asked to order more drinks and she came over. Half of the appetizers came out (wings) with not plates, napkins or silverware. We then had to approach the bar and ask for napkins. Meanwhile our waitress had yet to come back after taking the original order. Eventually additional drinks came out and the rest of the food. Most of which was cold, overcooked or came out 10 minutes after the rest. Our waitress did not come back once. As meals were finished we had to go to the bar to ask for our bill which was promptly delivered. Not surprising, our bill included a 20% gratuity for a waitress who was essentially MIA and we had to go to the bar multiple times. Granted the server (not our waitress) comped a round of drinks and two wings, the bill was still almost $300. As a server I completely understand mistakes, errors etc but to then completely avoid a table and add 20% gratuity for mediocre food and drinks. Definitely not a repeat customer. Also to note...there were 4 tables, 3 of which were 4 people and under and two people at the bar. read more

This restaurant has been nothing but a whirlwind of disappointment. The menu is misleading. I ordered a steak, and ended up with a sad excuse for a sub roll topped with little pieces of beef. The hot chocolate I ordered was nothing more than a Swiss Miss packet mixed into lukewarm tap water. Absolutely revolting. I decided to give this restaurant a second chance after my first, lackluster experience... which was, undoubtedly, my first mistake. My second mistake was choosing to ask for water as my beverage. It tasted worse than tap water from my own sink. I don't know how they managed to mess up "water", but I'm sure you can imagine my disgust. We had an awesome dinner with a big group. Food was amazing and the service was just as good. I had the Mongolian bowl. It was so good.

I'd leave zero stars if I could. Waitress was nice, but new. And super shy. However food took 45 min to get and there was only one other table in the entire restaurant. Ordered tater bombs, they were burnt and had no flavor, but we were starving and ate them. 2 of us ordered Texas nachos, chips were stale, guac was brown and barely any meat on them. Everyone else enjoyed their food. We told waitress and she went to tell someone, which also took forever, so we got up to walk to pay. Tami, I'm assuming supervisor, was very rude to us, was only willing to give 50% off for nachos. We did not even eat more than 2 bites. She really wanted to argue. However I will post again to make sure everyone in The Oneonta community is aware of the tactics this joint is playing. We're too busy. Was the excuse I got. "We're too Busy" Upon walking into what looked like an empty restaurant. I was told they were too busy and that I'd have to make a reservation for an hour later. When I looked around the room all three booths in the front were empty. The long bar completely empty. And there were maybe 3 tables in the back. When questioned further I hear that their kitchen is backed up and can't accommodate a table for 2. This is a disgrace. Another business that will fail in the same building due to mismanagement and a lack of customer service. If you're gonna go. Ya better call ahead. Stay away... customer service is awful, hostesses give you dirty looks when you're not pleased with the restaurants performance. Food took over an hour to even come out and the fries were ice cold, the wanna be chicken tenders were ice cold and the kitchen can't follow simple instructions like changing the type of cheese you want on your burger. We had to ask for drink refills after 30 minutes of waiting for our food. The wait staff even forgot a drink for our table. I happened to be walking around downtown Oneonta today, enjoying the sunshine, and decided to stop for a snack. So glad I did! The chichareenas were wonderful! Called ahead and spoke to a wonderful young lady who helped me with my reservations for a large party of 20. She was very welcoming when I walked in and was very helpful when I asked her if we could add 8 more. There were no issues until the manager came over and started yelling at me because didn't know the entire story of the conversation that took place between me and the employee that helped me. He was very angry that we were adding more people to our group at the last minute. The restaurant was not busy at all and there was plenty of room to assist our group. He was rude and even had the nerve to push one of the adults that were with us out of the way to go and speak rudely to another adult that was part of our group. Our baseball team was in town for a tournament and this was our first night in town. Very disappointed! We went down the street to Sal' instead and WOW!
