My husband and I came for breakfast, and much like Aspen itself, everything was good but left me wanting just a little bit more. To start, most of the food wasn't very warm. The sashuka was only served with two pieces of bread, but really could have used more in proportion to the tomato sauce it was served with. The French toast had an excellent crunchy crust, but could have used more of the fresh fruit. The Benedict was my favorite part of the meal, but the hashbrowns were a little overcooked. Overall, every thing was tasty and had really good flavor and texture, just wish for the price that it felt like it had it all.

Delicious breakfast! The service is always great and the food is always excellent. Best brunch in Aspen. Location is kind of hidden in a business center near the Aspen airport. I had the egg white frittata which was delicious and my husband had the banana great toast which was decadent.

Bestest French omelette I have ever had!!! Loved this place. That leek sauce was truly outstanding and with the baguette it went really well. Reminded of the omelette from the show, The Bear (without the Boursin cheese and the chips and chives)! . Great service and cozy ambiance. Highly recommend this place if you're in Aspen.

Love this restaurant, the food is so fresh and the taste is mmmmm heaven! The chilaquiles were the perfect combination of crispy and moist with the chipotle sauce. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Came back 2 years later and food was just as good as last time/ we had the croque madam, shrimp and grits and MK chicken waffles. Service was really good and everything delicious.

Delicious brunch! Favorite was the Bourbon French Toast! Homemade granola on top of the pancakes and toast. Gravy and biscuits were also very good

Incredible food, amazing service! Came with 7 friends on our way to the airport after visiting Aspen for the weekend - they stored all of our luggage during brunch and then took us all to the airport - what?!? The food was incredible, I had the frittata and pineapple ginger juice, and we shared the most delicious crispy pancakes I've ever had. And they had a four-piece jazz band to boot. 10/10 meal. thank you, Mawa!!

Okay, so the location was not what I was expecting, but the vibe, interior, really everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and kind, especially as we were here early. The space is elevated and so lovely. Everything was thought out and executed beautifully. That goes for the food and drinks, too. Chai Tea Latte. This has got to be the best one I've ever had, and I loved the cute glass it was served in. Brioche French Toast. Gimme more, please. What made this dish especially tasty was the granola mix. It really made everything come together. Buttermilk Pancakes. You have to see this stack in person. These are the fluffiest pancakes ever and oh so good. That apricot jam was especially to die for. Cherrywood Smoked Bacon. Unfortunately, this was a flop and $8 for 3 strips. They were way too crunchy and overcooked, but alas, I can forgive them for this. All in all, Mawas is a lovely place for tasty food with an upscale vibe that is not in the city center.

I was headed to catch a flight and had to stop by from what I hear is the only black owned restaurant in Aspen. So it was a must and it did not disappoint! Here are my thoughts: Environment Located not too far from the airport in what is considered to be like an airport business area its very accessible to folks coming in to town. Although it's not located in the dainty downtown area it has plenty of character. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lot of character. Plenty of dining space with a whole other section that includes a lounge section. They also have a full bar area. Service Very friendly from the moment that I entered the space. Very welcoming and accommodating and always approached with a smile. Really enjoyed the service and everyone made sure I had everything that I needed. Food and Drinks I had the pancakes and scrambled eggs w/ cheese and a mocha. Everything was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and warm and the eggs were perfectly made. The mocha was just right and was comforting on a cold snowy day in Aspen. The pancakes are high on my list for my favorite. Overall If i ever find myself back in Aspen this will be the first place I go and the first place I recommend to anyone. I enjoyed myself and loved the food and the space. Don't walk here, run here (well first get use to the elevation and then run here lol)

Dessert menu. We had mille feuille and carrot cake.

A hidden gem near Aspen! We had Maffe (a peanut curry), rotisserie, roasted beets, ratatouille, the goddess (cocktail), and 2 desserts! Everything was very flavorful, atmosphere classy, and service was wonderful. We'll be back soon!

Unbelievable flavor. The best restaurant in Aspen by far. The flavors in the goat, oxtail, and other dishes were out of this world.

Can we talk about the Chipotle Miso Seabass for a second? A culinary sensation, to say the least…read more The dish was perfect in every way, from flavor to temperature, and I could not have loved it more. It was between that and the saltado dish, which I likely won't ever have because I'll probably choose the same again next time. The rest of our dishes were exceptional as well. The roast duck dish was cooked to custom perfection, which I feel must be said as even Michelin-rated restaurants 'screw the duck' sometimes. The sommelier was impressively knowledgeable. This, of course, is the standard, but I was still impressed. If you've been to Bonito, its sister restaurant in St. Barths (THAT TRUFFLE SALAD!!), you are likely familiar with the quality of everything. The atmosphere, quality service, and decadent dishes make this a must-visit for all foodies!

Not only should they fix my jacket , but they should also refund me for the meal! I am not happy with this place & how they didn't even take any accountability or do anything about it for me. They didn't offer help or an apology to me. Absolutely horrible restaurant experience here on New Years. Betula's service is an absolute frickin joke. The food was subpar too. Like, I could've gone literally ANYWHERE ELSE for New Years to celebrate, and it would have been 1 million times better. The lobster and the steak both tasted like SH*T, and the texture was horrible. So dry & stale & cooked wrong. Who can swallow a dry dry piece of meat that was supposed to be medium rare, but somehow it literally was the driest piece of filet I have ever eaten in my entire life. They must use the absolute cheapest and most garbage ingredients that they save money on somehow because I can't imagine any other way that the food quality could've been so below average that it was actually the worst thing I've eaten in a very long time. How can every single thing be so bad in 1 night like extremely extremely unprofessional on their part. If I spilled a drink on an employee's winter coat that is worth lots & lots of money, then how would they feel is someone just ruined my extremely rare & expensive jacket. Why do they think it's ok that they caused so much damage to my outfit as a guest of the restaurant dining in, but chose to do absolutely nothing about it. The clothes cost a lot more than the dinner, and they really ruined my nicest jacket to the point that there's no fixing it now unfortunately. I am very upset and saddened by this, and also disappointed and let down and shocked at how bad Betula could possible even be. It's almost like there is no professionalism whatsoever. I literally saw a guy who was carrying out food having his belt undone and halfway open like hanging out as he's serving plates out to people. The dude's pants were unzipped half way! I sh*t you not, this place let me down in more ways than I could have ever imagined or expected. As I said, worst restaurant experience of my whole entire life. I am very unsatisfied with this place and frankly, hope to never ever return to Betula again. It was absolutely horrid. The lady who brought out a mocktail for someone in my party sitting next to me was not paying attention to dropping off the beverage she had on her tray that she was not careful with. This now ruined my brand new very fragile cashmere coat that should not come in contact with any liquids. They didn't help clean it or do anything about the wet mess she left on me for New Years. I honestly just started sharing even 1% mentioning on this review what is wrong with this restaurant. I could go on for days... They really messed up tonight and caused thousands of dollars worth of damages ruining multiple very very expensive articles of clothing. How am I going to fix her mess that she made on New Years night? The drink she dropped and exploaded all over multiple people in my party including myself, then that's called not being careful and actually messing up at her job very badly. That is beyond unprofessional. It is unheard of and so offensive to me in my life that she would spill on my best jacket I own and not even help or say sorry to me or do anything about it to make it better, or to at least try to make it feel better or help a little bit in any way. I had to get up and use napkins to clean the sticky liquid spilled all over my coat, and it's still not able to come off. They really dropped the ball big time tonight , and I will be making further reviews and complaints because they just collected their money from my party and acted like nothing happened. That's ridiculous. My coat cost more than that entire dinner, and they didn't care that they ruined my jacket with permanent stains & messing up the fabrics extremely inappropriately by literally exploding a whole sticky passion fruit mocktail drink all over my body and causing me to feel soaking wet on my body and in my seat for the entire duration of the rest of my New Years dinner. I need a refund!!! They F'd up everything, literally, and then tried to act like they're doing good work and have a good quality of service and customer satisfaction. Yeah right, this place is worse than McDonalds !!! They brought us out the completely wrong food in each of our dishes every time. How is that possible for a place that thinks it's a nice fancy restaurant that's supposed to be good? The food tasted like SH!T! I repeat: The food tasted like SH*T . Trust me, they screwed up every dish!

As anticipated, the place was gorgeous...with a slightly formal air. Given that it was in the Vail Village (near the ski slope), my husband was able to enter the place in his rugged ski suit. Despite the ambiance, it was a bit dead. I was disappointed with the lack of French music overhead...though maybe it was on so low, I didn't hear it? There were plenty of breakfast-brunch options, but on the menu, some items were noted as taking 20 minutes (which we didn't have time for!), so I was a tad bummed about that. In any case, my husband chose this Huckleberry Bacon French Toast, and I ordered the Maryland Crab Benedict. For drinks, we both just ordered plain coffee. As expected, the foods were good. I was more impressed with my husband's choice, this super-fancy french toast. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted spectacular! Mine was good, but disappointing at the same time. I really liked the Crab Benedict, but I only half-liked the side salad (basically just Arugula with a few Walnuts and Figs). The total bill for these items ran over 100 bucks... which, was to be expected in Vail. However, for such a pricey breakfast, I felt that I should have absolutely loved it...but it felt short of that. Overall, I just expected a bit more from this breakfast experience. Again, the decor was gorgeous, but the ambiance wasn't fully there (because of the lack of music?). Service felt a bit short-skimpy as well. Foods were good, but mine especially (Crab Benedict) felt a bit lacking. Let's just say that I've had Crab Benedicts as just as good for half the price...and with better sides. Maybe lunch or dinner experience is better here? In any case, am glad we checked out the place...but I doubt I'll choose it for breakfast again.

From the artwork on the walls to various touches throughout, you have the feeling you are in Paris. The food, although good, was just that - good. The Steak Frites was, I'm sorry, not all that special. The Fries were very good but the steak was lack luster with the Béarnaise Sauce missing key flavors like shallots and especially tarragon. The Aubergine Roulade, roasted eggplant rolled with roasted red peppers, spinach, chèvre and herbs served over baby arugula, mimolette cheese, toasted pine nuts, pickled fresno pepper & aged balsamic reduction (!) was good. With all those ingredients it should have been spectacular. Nice evening but disappointing.

I called them at 8:30 and they said kitchen is open till 9pm which was fair. We got there at 8:50pm and the hostess looked over to someone who looked like the shift manager and she said "sorry the kitchen is closed". I did not feel like arguing so we just decided to have some pizzas and drinks. That was a big mistake. I ordered what looked like a calzone (pizza that is wrapped) and it was the saltiest dish I've tried. Again we were trying to be mindful and too nice but I think we just went too far for being too nice. I then ordered the other pizza and it was honestly quite mediocre. The waiter was really nice and that's why I'm giving it 1 star otherwise it would be zero for us. They weren't even willing to provide salad. Come on! You can't even make salad in your kitchen? That was just ridiculous. And believe it or not, we had amazing food in every other restaurant we tried in Aspen so this was certainly a one off. My suggestion to the management team is to be honest about your the last call from your kitchen. If you close at 10pm and your kitchen runs till 9pm, you ought to be able to take orders till 9pm. Otherwise, be upfront and shot down kitchen at 8:30pm. Quite disappointed and not even sure if I would ever want to give this place a try.
