Absolutely exceptional dining experience!! Book well in advance since this adorable restaurant only seats about 25 people. Definitely consider the wine pairings. Yoel's description of each wine and the vineyards was so incredible and made the evening even better. Plan for about 3 hours and don't expect to leave hungry. An absolute MUST for foodies visiting Crested Butte!! 5 stars not nearly enough.

Chocolate mouse cake with strawberry reduction on the side. Added a candle for my birthday.

This is one of the fanciest meals I've ever had. They treat you like a Michelin star restaurant even though it doesn't have the rating. 4-5 course prefixe menu that everyone else in the restaurant is having with optional $$$$ wine pairing. Some people left early, so it seems you have the ability to skip dessert if desired. Because it was my birthday, we went all out and did the wine pairing plus a couple extra cocktails. It was a 4-hour experience of decadence. There are only 10-ish tables in the restaurant, so reservations are a must. For my birthday the staff kindly treated me to champagne and a birthday candle with my dessert. Literally the best short rib of my life. My boyfriend ordered it and gave it to me since I liked it more than my plate. Nothing served was bad, it was just that every course was a like a crazy championship contest of amazing vs amazing. The "loser" was still an amazing piece. The only watch out is the price. It was nearly $800 for both our meals, wine pairings, and extra few cocktails. For a very special occasion, very worth it!

What! Nestled in the middle of the frozen oasis that is Crested Butte is some seriously fine dining. Due to COVID enhancements, Chef Chris and team are offering prix fixe menu options. Given I've been primarily plant based for over a year, minus of course what delicious food I put in my mouth when going out, I chose every seafood option where my beau chose all red meat options. We were able to sample the entirety of the menu. The food was thoughtful, masterful, adventurous, and familiar (the duck foi gras is like no foi gras I've ever had -- it was nostalgic and new, and gave me Thanksgiving vibes.) The Somme Dan and his inventive approach to wine pairing is an absolute must -- you find you get an additional meal with the pairing's ability to enhance and change the dish. At the end of the night we stumbled into the snow, a little breathless -- but not from the cold. From re entering the world where we had just walked and breathed among magic. (Go go go!)

Cool place! Hot chick!

In a town increasingly crowded with concepts chasing exclusivity, this French alpine bistro…read moresucceeds in something far more difficult: atmosphere with genuine substance. From the moment you step inside, the room feels cinematic, warmly lit, artfully layered, and unmistakably Aspen in the way visitors hope Aspen will be.the space feel less like a restaurant and more like stepping into a painting. The service is impeccable. Staff move through the dining room with confidence and intuition, striking that elusive balance between polished professionalism and genuine warmth. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels overlooked. Not every dish justifies its ambitious pricing, but the restaurant understands the importance of signature indulgences. The pistachio martini is memorable without gimmick. while the escargot stands out as one of the menu's most successful nods to classic French decadence. Ultimately, this is less a place to dissect course by course and more a place to experience. It captures the romanticized version of Aspen people travel here searching for elegant, decadent, a little theatrical, and undeniably beautiful.

For food, we got the fondue for the table with potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, apples, schnitzel, and crusty bread. The cocktail we got was called the Pink Panther and it was not only beautiful, but also delicious. It was such a fun dinner experience. The entrees looked amazing and the menu was vast. Overall, I'd go back here in a heartbeat, it was fantastic!

Not only should they fix my jacket , but they should also refund me for the meal! I am not happy with this place & how they didn't even take any accountability or do anything about it for me. They didn't offer help or an apology to me. Absolutely horrible restaurant experience here on New Years. Betula's service is an absolute frickin joke. The food was subpar too. Like, I could've gone literally ANYWHERE ELSE for New Years to celebrate, and it would have been 1 million times better. The lobster and the steak both tasted like SH*T, and the texture was horrible. So dry & stale & cooked wrong. Who can swallow a dry dry piece of meat that was supposed to be medium rare, but somehow it literally was the driest piece of filet I have ever eaten in my entire life. They must use the absolute cheapest and most garbage ingredients that they save money on somehow because I can't imagine any other way that the food quality could've been so below average that it was actually the worst thing I've eaten in a very long time. How can every single thing be so bad in 1 night like extremely extremely unprofessional on their part. If I spilled a drink on an employee's winter coat that is worth lots & lots of money, then how would they feel is someone just ruined my extremely rare & expensive jacket. Why do they think it's ok that they caused so much damage to my outfit as a guest of the restaurant dining in, but chose to do absolutely nothing about it. The clothes cost a lot more than the dinner, and they really ruined my nicest jacket to the point that there's no fixing it now unfortunately. I am very upset and saddened by this, and also disappointed and let down and shocked at how bad Betula could possible even be. It's almost like there is no professionalism whatsoever. I literally saw a guy who was carrying out food having his belt undone and halfway open like hanging out as he's serving plates out to people. The dude's pants were unzipped half way! I sh*t you not, this place let me down in more ways than I could have ever imagined or expected. As I said, worst restaurant experience of my whole entire life. I am very unsatisfied with this place and frankly, hope to never ever return to Betula again. It was absolutely horrid. The lady who brought out a mocktail for someone in my party sitting next to me was not paying attention to dropping off the beverage she had on her tray that she was not careful with. This now ruined my brand new very fragile cashmere coat that should not come in contact with any liquids. They didn't help clean it or do anything about the wet mess she left on me for New Years. I honestly just started sharing even 1% mentioning on this review what is wrong with this restaurant. I could go on for days... They really messed up tonight and caused thousands of dollars worth of damages ruining multiple very very expensive articles of clothing. How am I going to fix her mess that she made on New Years night? The drink she dropped and exploaded all over multiple people in my party including myself, then that's called not being careful and actually messing up at her job very badly. That is beyond unprofessional. It is unheard of and so offensive to me in my life that she would spill on my best jacket I own and not even help or say sorry to me or do anything about it to make it better, or to at least try to make it feel better or help a little bit in any way. I had to get up and use napkins to clean the sticky liquid spilled all over my coat, and it's still not able to come off. They really dropped the ball big time tonight , and I will be making further reviews and complaints because they just collected their money from my party and acted like nothing happened. That's ridiculous. My coat cost more than that entire dinner, and they didn't care that they ruined my jacket with permanent stains & messing up the fabrics extremely inappropriately by literally exploding a whole sticky passion fruit mocktail drink all over my body and causing me to feel soaking wet on my body and in my seat for the entire duration of the rest of my New Years dinner. I need a refund!!! They F'd up everything, literally, and then tried to act like they're doing good work and have a good quality of service and customer satisfaction. Yeah right, this place is worse than McDonalds !!! They brought us out the completely wrong food in each of our dishes every time. How is that possible for a place that thinks it's a nice fancy restaurant that's supposed to be good? The food tasted like SH!T! I repeat: The food tasted like SH*T . Trust me, they screwed up every dish!

I called the restaurant about 5 days prior to my Rez and they were able to accommodate adding two to my party. An already great start to my experience without stepping foot into the restaurant. The exterior and interior of the building are way cute but holy cow did the food shine here. My friend and I shared the French onion soup, the steak tartare, and the filet mignon entree. Literally all 10s. I would say don't skip the soup or the filet. The soup was so rich with flavor and honestly might be the best rendition I've ever had. The filet had this amazingly rich sauce and it was paired with bites of lobster. I haven't stopped thinking about it. The steak tartare was also so good. I've never had it before so it's hard to compare but I really enjoyed it! Our server was attentive and so knowledgeable about the food and drinks. I think his name is Bruce but might be wrong about that. I would say snag a reservation if you can cause this place is not to be missed. A well deserved 5 stars!

As anticipated, the place was gorgeous...with a slightly formal air. Given that it was in the Vail Village (near the ski slope), my husband was able to enter the place in his rugged ski suit. Despite the ambiance, it was a bit dead. I was disappointed with the lack of French music overhead...though maybe it was on so low, I didn't hear it? There were plenty of breakfast-brunch options, but on the menu, some items were noted as taking 20 minutes (which we didn't have time for!), so I was a tad bummed about that. In any case, my husband chose this Huckleberry Bacon French Toast, and I ordered the Maryland Crab Benedict. For drinks, we both just ordered plain coffee. As expected, the foods were good. I was more impressed with my husband's choice, this super-fancy french toast. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted spectacular! Mine was good, but disappointing at the same time. I really liked the Crab Benedict, but I only half-liked the side salad (basically just Arugula with a few Walnuts and Figs). The total bill for these items ran over 100 bucks... which, was to be expected in Vail. However, for such a pricey breakfast, I felt that I should have absolutely loved it...but it felt short of that. Overall, I just expected a bit more from this breakfast experience. Again, the decor was gorgeous, but the ambiance wasn't fully there (because of the lack of music?). Service felt a bit short-skimpy as well. Foods were good, but mine especially (Crab Benedict) felt a bit lacking. Let's just say that I've had Crab Benedicts as just as good for half the price...and with better sides. Maybe lunch or dinner experience is better here? In any case, am glad we checked out the place...but I doubt I'll choose it for breakfast again.
