Went to the Bruhaus to watch the Super Bowl and we could not have selected a better venue while in Crested Butte. We arrived before 4:00 and so we were able to take advantage of the Happy Hour menu which has a wide range of small plates that were enticing enough to make our decisions matters of great deliberation. We started with the chicken confit drummies in Buffalo sauce that were so delicious we had to get a second round. Each portion has three drummies that are perfectly sauced and finger licking good. We followed this with an order of Philly Egg Rolls which are cheese steaks in a wonton wrapper. Ambitious but rather average in the event. The beer battered fries with a curry brat redeemed the moment. The fries are crisp on the outside with creamy centers. The curry brat is sliced and mixed throughout. Excellent. We ordered the Orzo Bowl off the main menu which is a delectable mix of veg, berries, nuts and cheese then finished with the warm brownie sundae. Bruhaus offers a great selection of taps and handcrafted cocktails. We had the Espresso Martini and the Topsy and could not have been more pleased. Service was attentive and the ambiance is mountain cozy. The Bruhaus is a nice venue offering great food and beverages served with a smile. read more

Our party of 8 made a reservation for 8pm (which was allowed on the website to do) and I guess we should have checked the time they close, as staff seemed to be rushing us and breaking down the restaurant while we were still eating. Lots of dirty looks which made us feel uncomfortable and rushed. Our server was excellent!! She was so amazing and friendly. After waiting 45 minutes, I was informed that they made the wrong food, and then was informed after that, that my food was given to another table. I felt like the kitchen wasn't happy they had to remake my food, and I actually ended up sick less than 12 hours after eating here. There are many wonderful spots in Crested Butte- I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Great location. Awesome atmosphere sitting outside with plenty of shade either in the building or along Elk Ave. The service was very good. The staff was very attentive. In our drinks were low or we were done with our food, someone was there to take care of it. Only downside, the food is ok. Had a wagyu burger. We stopped in here for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and had a great experience. We sat at the outside bar, and the bartenders were awesome. I know I should have guessed from the name, but the beer list here is legit - including fun/funky different things, and even beers from Italy. There's tons of seating outside on the patio, as well as around the outdoor bar, and a lot of seating inside as well. For lunch, I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. You can order the chicken fried or grilled (I went fried), with lettuce, tomato, ranch, and Gorgonzola. The fries that came with it were delicious - and the coleslaw that came with my husband's wrap was very generously portioned. He has the chicken Caesar wrap, and said it was really good. We will absolutely be back to explore more of the beer menu (and food menu)! read more

The burger was phenomenal! Brisket Mac & cheese had quite a few pieces that were pure fat (if that's your thing). Service was great at the bar after being snubbed by the hostess. The fireplace in the front court yard drew me in. It was a perfect spot to warm up before heading in for a meal. The inside feels like a modern and very clean German beer hall. I loved the fusion of German style food mixed with American flare. There's tons of parking around the area that's free and the servers are all very friendly. We had a group of 8 and our server could not have been more attentive. It was a Monday night so the restaurant was not crowded and was quiet so we could all hear each other. I had the beef cheeks and my husband had the brisket mac n cheese. Both were excellent. It was our 2nd time here and we will go back next time we're in Crested Butte. read more

Honestly, we loved the food and dessert out here but this place is quite overpriced. Service was good. I really enjoyed the lamb Slovaki, buffalo chicken burger and the risotto. Awesome Anniversary Dinner We had an awesome anniversary celebration on 9/21/25 at Bruhaus. It was an amazing evening and we felt like royalty with the awesome service and many courtesies extended. We appreciated the champagne toast with delicious food, a cozy patio ambience and great servers. We returned to Crested Butte to celebrate our anniversary after getting engaged while skiing at Upper Ruby Chief in 1992. The service we experienced here was amazing! Our hostess/waitress was super helpful in recommending drinks and was always making sure we had everything we needed. We came during lunchtime and the whole menu was available except for the entree portion, so we will definitely have to come back because some of the entrees sounded delicious! Inedible! I went in after an epic hike today and was ready to indulge for dinner. To start -The server did not know what a Paulaner Lager was - I had to show them from menu. The cheese curds were pretty good- nice approach. I ordered the pork shank expecting a juicy and flavorful dinner. Instead I got a completely desiccated, bland shank with bland grits and broccolini so charred, it was inedible. My partner got the burger, a dry, well -done disc. They "wished they had ordered it rare" but was not actually asked.... There are better places in town! read more

This is a nice restaurant, but I'm not happy with the price for a beer.... $19!!!!!! I tried to order a tap beer, but the waitress said all of the tap beer lines were down. Really? Okay. So she offers a canned beer of a hazy IPA. I thought... this will probably be a little more expensive than a tap beer, but not a lot. I ordered that... liked it and during dinner ordered another. I get the bill and two beers were $38 dollars! The food and service were good, but I'll be hard pressed to return! **UPDATE ** I have heard back from Mike at the restaurant and he said that .. yes we should have been told that the beer our waitress suggested was a Very pricey beer. He asked that we come back and he will buy us a round of drinks. At least they are trying to make amends. I appreciate that and will give it another shot there. read more

Venue - great sidewalk brew house on Elk Avenue with bar both inside and outside. Nice on a sunny summer day - but ask for the shade - there are no umbrellas here! Drinks - a pretty good lineup of beer, etc on tap. Food - okay - We had the potato skins which were definitely different - potato's were topped with trout, a sour cream experience and fish roe - not what I was expecting but good. We also had the drummettes which were pretty spiced and flavorful, and the burger which was solid. Service - hopefully they are working things out - everyone was personable, but they were also a bit unorganized. I would probably come back but mostly for a beer and a bite outside! read more

First...very cool atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating...nice fireplace outside...while they call it a tavern the food is very elevated from that...elk meatloaf was moist and flavorful. the pork shank was life changing. So let's move on to the staff...bartenders Brandon and Lily were both exceptional...funny, attentive, helpful...you name it they made it happen. First of all, the food was amazing!! The pork shank exceeded my expectations!! Can't forget about the French onion soup, and the sausage sampler was excellent as well!! Had a little unfortunate incident with a nut allergy, but Brooke was more than attentive and extremely helpful!!! Excellent service, and barely had to wait to be checked on.
