Something they think is a smash burger.

Hands down, the worst burger I have ever had. A smash burger should still be juicy. This burger was the width of a slice of bologna and beyond over cooked. The truffle cheese covered maybe an inch in the burger. Tasteless doesn't even begin to describe it. They topped it off with burnt bacon. Did they not look at it before they served it. The service was good and it had a cool ambiance. That could not make up for the food. A crappy burger, a chicken sandwich a less than stellar pork belly bowl, one iced tea and a draft beer all for $93. This place is no where near worth what they charge. They should be happy that the customer base doesn't seem to care about taste or quality.

Lettuce wraps & chicken salad wrap

We tried the Hideout while in Crested Butte and were not disappointed! We were immediately seated in the bar area - for larger parties keep in mind that this is a smaller restaurant so they may not have room. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, low lighting, cute bar area & cool location. We had the crab cake as an appetizer (highly recommend), a chicken salad wrap with fried and the lettuce wraps - everything we had was amazing but our favorite was the lettuce wrap!

My S.O. and I were in Crested Butte for a weekend getaway. We walked into The Hideout not knowing what kind of food they had. And we were delighted with our dinner. First, we ordered two appetizers. the Deviled eggs and dry rub wings. Both were delicious! My S.O. ordered the 2 buns with bulgogi pork and lettuce wraps, which he really enjoyed. I ordered a banh mi sandwich with bulgogi pork and Kim chi as my side. then we ordered grilled broccolini as a side to share. Everything was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this menu with Asian style food along with the American food. Our waiter was friendly and quick to bring out food and drinks. We sat indoors as it looked like rain, but they also have an outdoor patio, which looked nice.

Small upstairs bar and restaurant in CB. The inside is small and cozy but a little cramped. The service was attentive and the food was good. Here's what we had: Waygu Cheeseburger- Pretty good burger. I felt like I was eating a healthier hamburger. The flavor was good but could have been seasoned a bit more. 3.5 of 5 stars Pork belly bahn mi: Man this was good! Definitely a 5 star bhan mi! Service - good service, they had several servers check on us. 5 of 5 stars.

arrived at 5pm for early dinner and we were seated outside right away. Patio is really lovely. We tired the nachos w pork belly and rice noodle salad with bulgolgi - both really yummy and a perfect post hike meal!

We enjoyed the bao buns and lettuce wrap combo. It was good portions. The proteins (fried chicken and pork belly) and toppings were all really nice. Husband really enjoyed his tacos too.

Dined here yesterday even for dinner with friends. Had a delicious burger! I decided on the Pow Hound Burger. It had pork belly on it which I'm a sucker for. It also had a chili crunch ranch on it which worked so well with the flavor it the burger. I also ordered a side of ranch for the fries since I love me some condiments. The ranch was definitely homemade and heavy on the dill. But a little dill never bothered me hehe. We also tried an order of the Dank Os which were some fancy loaded onion rings. They had an Asian flair to them and man did the flavors just sing! Great creation! Overall a great spot to hit when in town visiting.

Cute little restaurant that quite literally felt like you were in a hideout. We were seated with a party of 6 and our table and seats were a little cramped but that was alright. Service was attentive and our food was good for the price. I really enjoyed their bao and Wagyu burger.

Pow Hound Burger

The Hideout with a 4.5 Yelp score? Sadly, you have lost touch with reality if you rate this anything less than a 5! The Pow Hound Burger, a Wagyu beef patty, reminded me what living tastes like. If you're the kind of person who thinks a burger is just a burger, get ready to have your entire world flipped upside down. This isn't just a meal, it's a spiritual experience. Topped with crispy pork belly, cheddar, and crispy chili crunch, my taste buds ascended to another plane of existence before I even took my second bite of this impeccable Asian fusion take on a burger. But wait, let me tell you about the fries that will make you never want to go to In-N-Out ever again. These aren't your average potato sticks. These are crunchy, golden warriors of flavor, and when dipped in the gochujang aioli, you become armed with a katana to kill your hunger. They may just be the fries of the gods. Not to be outdone, the Local Gem salad with fried chicken was a sneaky superstar. Now, I know what you're thinking, "How could a salad stand up next to the Pow Hound Burger?" Oh, but it does. It's like ordering a refreshing sidekick that secretly trains harder than the hero. Crisp greens, spiced nuts, and house pickles--this salad made me rethink every bad thing I ever said about healthy eating. Add the fried chicken, and you're basically eating gourmet while pretending to be healthy. Genius. I considered never leaving this place--like, ever. Just me, my Pow Hound, the salad, and a lifetime supply of fries. Maybe I could start a new life here, show up to work meetings via Zoom from the patio with a burger in hand. Forget all your attachments to the material world and transcend to the new plane of existence at The Hideout. TL;DR: The Pow Hound Burger might just change your life. The Local Gem salad is deceptively amazing. I have no complaints, except that I can't eat here every day because the commute from Denver would be too much... but so worth it.

Dank O's

As soon as we heard the owners of secret stash opened another restaurant in town, we knew we had to try it, and I'm so glad we did! This will now be another frequented spot any time we're in Crested Butte. Our server, Choyjng, was phenomenal and probably one of the most attentive and genuinely friendly servers I've had in a while, I will say, none us enjoyed the cocktails we ordered (strawberry zen, uzuloma, & toki toki) and thus if we were to go back, we'd probably skip alcoholic drinks or just order a basic well cocktail. We got the dank o's as an appetizer which were bomb! These were way better than the normal onion rings you get out. For entrees we got the shrimp po boy, bao bundle (fried chicken and birria), and the fried chicken sandwich. Everyone was really satisfied and pleased with their meal! The birria bao was less flavorful than expected and thus I probably wouldn't order that one again, but the fried chicken one was delicious! Personally, I would have given the restaurant 4/5 just because of the drinks and one of my bao's being under seasoned/flavored, but the tables ruling was 5/5.

The Dogwood is a cocktail cabin that is located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte. They keep the lights dimmed and have a fun music playlist that creates a nice relaxed atmosphere. The floor creaks as you walk through the cabin and they have cool chandeliers. We were initially told it would be a long wait, but somehow they found a table rather quickly for us. It was cold out, so we appreciated it. The Dogwood has a nice variety of artisanal cocktails on their menu. Our server was very helpful with giving us some options. I didn't have my readers on me and had a hard time reading the menu. So her describing some of the cocktails to me was very helpful. Dogwood has a number of classic drinks, margaritas and martinis. Some of the fun names that I saw were Thor's Hammer, D Cup, Porch Song, Mr. Pink and Beetnik. I ordered the Headhunter and enjoyed my drink. For food, Dogwood has charcuterie-style bites and other light snacks. This was a great find and a nice way to cap off our fun trip to Crested Butte.

The drinks are pricey, but you're really paying for the ambience and care that they put into making each drink. The menus has plenty of options, but you can also order your favorite with your choice of spirits. I opted for a whiskey sour with my beloved Suntory Toki and it was dang good! I initially ordered Suntory Hibiki (a more expensive version of Suntory's whiskey), but I loved that our waitress made sure I saw the price listed for that whiskey was "per ounce"... so my cocktail would have been $50! I very much appreciated that she pointed that out instead of just putting in my order and then me being surprised by the cost! Not a ton of food options, yet they do offer charcuterie plates with your choice of cheeses and meats. We don't go that route, but cocktails and charcuterie would be great for a date night! However, the other night we had a really lovely meal and were luckily seated downstairs, which was very prettily decorated and noise levels not too high. Best thing we had was the whipped ricotta with herbs, fresh and dried apples and, of course, bread. The sage and thyme combo with fruit and light fresh ricotta was so good. So good I forgot to take a photo until we'd wiped the plate clean. Meatballs were also very tasty w a very nice tomato sauce. The burrata served w radishes, beets, citrus and arugula was delicious. The gruyere daily bread was tasty and their honey butter is so good! We over-ate bread, but hey, every course came w bread and it is so good and it is called The Breadery! Thumbs up tho we have yet to have a dessert I would order again. The cannoli were okay but nothing special.

The sourdough with black garlic butter was incredible, easily the best I've ever had. We also shared a Caesar salad with perfectly crispy garlic croutons on the outside and a bright, lemony dressing. We took two seats at the bar and were lucky enough to have Tina helping us, she was so friendly and knowledgeable, really a gem. We started with the fiery passion and the rum sour and were impressed by the complexity of flavors in both, the fiery passion was a real winner, with a taste of passionfruit, and the habanero pineapple in the rum really coming through, but not in a overly sweet way, just enough. The chili sugar rim was a unique way to really set it over the top. The rum sour was also delicious, the Demerara, giving it almost a hint of an old-fashioned, but keeping it light and foamy throughout. Such an incredible set of cocktails. I also had the tomato bisque soup, it was so yummy and cheesy, and the staff were nice enough to bring out some local made bread toasted on the side. Then, Tina made us her own special cocktail, a take on a strawberry spicy rum, with an egg white to give it a delicious foamy texture. All the drinks are delicious, and Tina noted that they were the strongest cocktails in the area, with 2 1/2 shots per drink. We were definitely feeling fun and talkative as we were leaving. This place was so upbeat, with games to choose from, but still keeping a refined mountain vibe. We tried to go back again the next day, but had finished earlier and the bar didn't open yet! Bummer. We don't find our way to crested Butte often but next time we are there, it will surely be a stop.
