My wife ordered the fish and chips and those were great as well. The desert was very tasty and decadent. While I do not fault the staff for this, the service was slow, friendly, but slow. They serve up American bar food and appetizers with a nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails on their drink menu. Iron Horse Tap is located inside The Plaza and has great views of Mt. Crested Butte's Peak. We were able to walk over from our hotel. It was a chilly night, so we appreciated how warm and cozy the place was. Iron Horse has a number of TVs that show various sporting events. The pizza options on the menu looked good, so order a MOB Pizza with a beer. I like to try the local beers whenever I visit a new town and Iron Horse had a selection of local Colorado beers on tap. The waitress was bringing out food for other patrons. We noticed the size of the burgers and we were glad that we got the tiny ones. first bite of the burger was absolutely fabulous. Ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. And the patty seemed to have been (but I could be wrong) from a pre-made frozen patty. It just didn't taste like fresh made hamburger meat.
