Forgive me for not having picture... I was in town recently on a business trip and had the opportunity to bring my wife along. We stopped in, the place was packed, the ambience was great, and the food was just wonderful. My wife is an extremely picky eater. She ordered a chicken fried chicken sandwich, and it was exactly what she wanted. They even made her french fries extra crispy at her request. I had a chicken salad, which was phenomenal. Found this place on a mini board in the hotel. A few of the other recommendations are closed on Tuesday so we decided to give this place a try. For parking you can either park next-door at a closedown store or try and find street parking for Tuesday with the World Cup being on it was a little busy and the weather was so they had the sliding doors open and you could either choose to sit inside or outside on the patio. Since it was a nice light breezy 90° day most people chose to sit outside, so all the patio tables were taken. We were told we could sit anywhere and they brought us a menu as soon as we seated. Are we just walked away and brought us back two glasses and a big craft of water. She gave us a few minutes to look over the menu which I do appreciate. But when she came back, asked if we had any questions I asked her how big the kids tiny burger was she said it's like the size of a slider and it came with nothing on it, but you could add whatever you wanted. I ended up going with the tiny burger off of the kids menu adding mayonnaise, lettuce, onion, and the bacon marmalade. My coworker ordered the same and a shredding tots. Food came out in a respectable amount of time. It was hot and fresh. You can see right into the kitchen as it is an old food trailer that they have set up as the cooking area, which was really cool. The waitress was bringing out food for other patrons. We noticed the size of the burgers and we were glad that we got the tiny ones. first bite of the burger was absolutely fabulous. It was juicy just enough pink and the flavors with the bacon marmalade out of this world. I did try one of my coworkers shredding. We stopped in here for lunch today (Friday), around noon, and it was hopping! We checked in at the bar, and they wrote our name down - there wasn't an empty barstool, or table, in the whole place. That said, if you've been here, you know it's on the smaller side, with even less seating since it isn't patio weather currently. After a very short, less than five minute wait, a table opened and we were seated. Our server came over with menus, and took our drink order, shortly after we sat down. We were excited to see the new winter menu. Bob ordered the Teocali turkey - turkey, bacon, rocket (aka lettuce), cranberry jam, and Brie, served with chips - he said it was really good. I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, which came in a beautifully toasted roll, with an enormous piece of chicken, carrot salad, greens, sriracha mayo, and fries. The sriracha mayo added a nice kick to a delicious sandwich. Our server was great - super friendly, and checked on us multiple times. If you're in Gunnison, The Dive is absolutely worth a stop. The atmosphere is casual, laid-back, and fun, with a bar and TVs that make it a great place to unwind. The food is cooked from a food truck set up inside the space, which gives it a unique vibe. And don't let that fool you, the food is outstanding. My husband had the Dive Burger with a 7 oz Scanga beef and pork blend, gouda, bacon marmalade, and rocket, served with fries. It was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I had the Chicken Scratch Sandwich with grilled chicken, brie spread, pear jam, and rocket on a warm croissant. I upgraded to tots with bacon and bleu cheese, and they were incredible. Everything was fresh, creative, and seriously delicious. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone passing through. read more

We ordered a Pale Ale from High Alpine that was on tap and it definitely drank like a Pilsner/Lager. Great food, great service, excellent cocktails. However, much to our dismay, they DO NOT allow dogs on the outdoor patio. Thankfully we had our puppy in a stroller, so they allowed her at our table on the condition that she remained in the stroller. Another solid find in Gunnison. The Dive wasn't what I would call a "dive," but no worries here. We had a great time here. Guess where we sat? You know it - the bar. Seriously, the service never disappoints and you always learn something about the bar or place. Another cool feature was the kitchen playfully situated in a food truck, inside the main dining area. We had a great view to the hard working staff prepping, cooking and serving food. Cool feature #2 is The Dive's creativity around craft cocktails but with their beers. My guy ordered their Mai Tai IPA which was surprisingly fabulous. Y'all, I'm not (even remotely) an IPA girl and I would've had 14 of these, lol. So, for food, we shared their buttermilk chicken with shredded tots. Good but didn't knock my socks off. Their IPA Mai tai did, but not the sandwich. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Maybe a little more seasoning would've gotten my attention. Either way, we left with a smile. We def come back. read more

Boisterous spot in Gunnison, CO. It's billed as an industrial bar and the vibe fits the bill. It's pub food pumped up a notch. Complete with a converted food truck in the building which serves as the kitchen. It is a BUSY place. Sat at the bar and watched the 2 bartenders whirl and swirl. Service from the kitchen is on the slow side - the place is packed and I think they struggle to keep up. The food, once it was finally served, was really good. The cobb salad with chicken is a well rounded serving of fresh cut veggies, egg and avocado. Chicken is in chunks, moist and firm. Chicken sandwich is a crunchy fried chicken breast on a bun, atop house-made carrot salad, slathered with sriracha mayo. There's some heat in this one, but just the right amount to stimulate the taste buds without making your nose run. Not really a dive by my definition. Not white tablecloth to be sure, but a fun spot, with good food and great service. Worth a stop. read more

The overall look of this place is very unique. It's an open style restaurant/bar with a food truck inside that serves as the kitchen. The decor is geared towards bike and Pearl Jam for the most part. The food is cheap and delicious. My husband and I both had the poutine, but he asked for grilled chicken on his. I tasted the chicken and it was phenomenal, it had almost a sweet flavor. Stayed the weekend in Gunnison and heard good things about this place. The menu had a variety of food but I love Cobb salads. This was one of my favorites and they loaded it. They didn't skimp out on anything so I was very pleased. Another bonus was it was just $13 so reasonable prices. 10/10 service and food came out pretty quickly even during dinner rush hour. Our first visit was several months back has fish and fries , chili and Bloody Marys. Food and atmosphere were really good- our second visit today we ordered fish and fries and was very disappointed fish was overcooked, dry not crispy at all. The sliders were like the dive burger with a bacon sweet sauce. Yumm! Came back for lunch on Tuesday. This time ordered beers. I had a mexican lager which was good and the wife had a pilsner. Very trendy place. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was good, my only complaint would be the batter is a touch too thick for my taste. Don't get me wrong, this didn't make it bad. It was tasty. Especially with the house made tartar and ketchup. My server was working on most of the dining room so it could have been a little better. I had to ask for a refill but only after I had barely drained my glass. Loved the decor and music, it was a pleasant lunch. A friend recommended this place and it was perfect! Fun atmosphere. There's a food truck in the building and fun lights on the patio! The food is high quality with a lot of housemate ingredients, like ketchup! I got the lunch combo of half sandwich and half soup. The pork green chili soup is perfectly spicy! The pork is so tender as well. For the sandwich, I went with the Graceland. Served cold and perfect as is! Perfect lunch portion. The Graceland has turkey, bacon, sriracha Mayo, lettuce tomato and avocado - yum! They were very accommodating to our requests and extremely friendly! I'm not from here but my friend said the beignets were really good so we met here for happy hour. The server was super friendly...too bad I didn't get his name? We got the sliders and they were delicious! The meat is a mix of pork and beef and some bacon bits...I was in heaven :) We also got the beignets for dessert and they were as yummy as my friend said. It was busy- and I mean PACKED- on a Wednesday. We sat at the bar and received prompt service. I wish I knew what the name of the woman was behind the bar, but she was crushing it -- she was answering the phone, waiting on a full bar, and supporting the waitstaff without a single bead of sweat or anxiety. We ordered a Chicken Scratch Sandwich and a Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich with a Farro Grain Salad on the side. The salad was the star for me, personally. Fresh spring mix, amazing farro, and the honey-thyme vinaigrette was amazing, too. I can't speak to the Chicken Scratch, my fiance said it was "good" and finished it without letting me have a single bite, so it must have been pretty good. My buttermilk chicken sandwich had a nice breading to it, and I really liked the sriracha mayo and the homemade pickles. The chicken was a touch dry, but given how busy they were it could have been a lot worse. On Wednesdays they run a "Wing and Whiskey" special, and I tried to order a Paper Plane (their whiskey cocktail promotion) at around 6pm, and they had already ran out of aperol for the cocktail- major bummer but maybe also a testament to how popular they are among locals. Loved the rotating taps at the bar and overall atmosphere, such a unique vibe. Definitely has the potential to be a little loud, but it kind of adds to the overall environment. Great food, good service, cute ambiance... we loved the dive! Flew into montrose to go to CB and dropped the car in gunnison then took the RTA to CB. Stumbled upon this restaurant two years ago and continue to stop at it. The duck poutine was delicious, savory, gravy was surprisingly light. The Cobb salad was sooooooo yummy. I wish we got a large, this is the 1/2 portion in the picture! Lots of local rotating taps. Good beer selection and full bar. Bathrooms were very clean and general neutral. Will be back. read more
