Cute lil spot for drinks and sandwiches at base of crested butte ski resort. Low key ambience but feels nice inside, order at the bar.

Great food, service and live music make this spot a great choice for dinner and some drinks. I had the Pork Carnitas with Elotes Slaw which was amazing. Very moist and tender with some cool slaw and spicy jalapeños made for a great combo!

We have walked this spot multiple times while going to the chair lifts at Crested Butte. We finally stopped into this spot in Mt. Creates Butte after a couple hard hours of skiing. We were very impressed! The cocktail menu looks great, with a full bar. We stuck to beer, it is a place that prides itself on having lots of interesting craft beers! I was sad to hear there is no draft beer, but they had a great can list. The food went way past my expectations. I recommend getting a hot sandwich! The classic Cuban was great, well executed! The Banh Mi was amazing, by far the best item in the menu. It came with a little cup of pho, which warmed the soul on a cold ski day. Unfortunately, they were out of turkey, but the ham substitute worked well! The service was okay, it is a seat yourself place and walk up and order at the front. They then bring the food to you. It is a good substitute for lunch at the base of the mountain! I will be back!

I love, love, love this place. The cheers of CB. Bartenders are always so friendly, and pours are strong.

Good sandwiches but terrible ambiance for a ski lodge bar. It's like an art gallery that serves beer in cans.

We always want to come but not at 4:00! Such a bummer. Even open at 2:00 and get the whole ski crowd. You've got the big TV for football and games start at 11:00. Is there a reason for opening so late?

We were looking for something near our hotel with a kitchen that opens late and that offers gluten-free options (for my buddy). Iron Horse Tap ended up being the place for us. They serve up American bar food and appetizers with a nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails on their drink menu. Iron Horse Tap is located inside The Plaza and has great views of Mt. Crested Butte's Peak. We were able to walk over from our hotel. It was a chilly night, so we appreciated how warm and cozy the place was. Iron Horse has a number of TVs that show various sporting events. The pizza options on the menu looked good, so order a MOB Pizza with a beer. I like to try the local beers whenever I visit a new town and Iron Horse had a selection of local Colorado beers on tap. Iron Horse Tap had a nice crowd on hand and ended up being a solid first stop for us on this trip to Crested Butte.

I stopped in around 1:15 after making some turns, looking for a beverage, and something for lunch. There were no open tables, and as a single person, the hostess recommended looking for a bar seat (I was very lucky a seat opened). Bar seating is full service. The bartenders were good, friendly, and surprisingly attentive given how crazy busy both the bar, and restaurant were. Some might think it an odd combo, however, I love that one of their lunch options is soup (yesterday was chicken noodle, or chili) and salad. I opted for the chili, and the Caesar salad. Both were really good - the chili was very flavorful and filling, and came with a small toasted brioche roll. The drink menu is a lot of fun - I haven't seen a painkiller on a menu outside of the BVIs - so of course I ordered one. It was very tasty. My second beverage was an Irish coffee, which was also very good. One thing of note - there is no pricing next to any of their beverages, and judging by our bill, are not inexpensive (tip, lunch, with the two beverages mentioned and a blue moon, was $77). The location here is key, and will likely be back when skiing again!

We ate outdoors, uncool weather with a very light sprinkle of a short duration.

The Dogwood is a cocktail cabin that is located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte. They keep the lights dimmed and have a fun music playlist that creates a nice relaxed atmosphere. The floor creaks as you walk through the cabin and they have cool chandeliers. We were initially told it would be a long wait, but somehow they found a table rather quickly for us. It was cold out, so we appreciated it. The Dogwood has a nice variety of artisanal cocktails on their menu. Our server was very helpful with giving us some options. I didn't have my readers on me and had a hard time reading the menu. So her describing some of the cocktails to me was very helpful. Dogwood has a number of classic drinks, margaritas and martinis. Some of the fun names that I saw were Thor's Hammer, D Cup, Porch Song, Mr. Pink and Beetnik. I ordered the Headhunter and enjoyed my drink. For food, Dogwood has charcuterie-style bites and other light snacks. This was a great find and a nice way to cap off our fun trip to Crested Butte.

The drinks are pricey, but you're really paying for the ambience and care that they put into making each drink. The menus has plenty of options, but you can also order your favorite with your choice of spirits. I opted for a whiskey sour with my beloved Suntory Toki and it was dang good! I initially ordered Suntory Hibiki (a more expensive version of Suntory's whiskey), but I loved that our waitress made sure I saw the price listed for that whiskey was "per ounce"... so my cocktail would have been $50! I very much appreciated that she pointed that out instead of just putting in my order and then me being surprised by the cost! Not a ton of food options, yet they do offer charcuterie plates with your choice of cheeses and meats. We don't go that route, but cocktails and charcuterie would be great for a date night!
