Great place for a variety of oysters & caviar. Service was great. Great ambiance for date night or dinner with friends. Clam chowder was not my style. The linguine and clams was great and the octopus appetizer was my favorites. Everything was great though.

Wagyu tartar - a must order

Last time we came here was in 2019 and I have been dreaming of coming back ever since. Our 2nd time here and it was just as amazing as I remembered. The service is always top tier and you know the food will always be great! Here is what we ordered: - oysters. All great but Fanny Bay still has my #1 spot for oysters. I will always order oysters here. It's a must. - clam chowder. Not sure what the hype is. I would pass on this next time. - wedge salad. Fantastic wedge. Would order again. Love the thick bacon chunks. - Wagyu tartare. I will definitely order this again. Was my favorite item we ordered this time. - grilled octopus. Only downside is you'll wish it came with more because it was so good. Would order again. I wish they would put Louis Roederer back on the menu. But the champagne I got ordered was good... ain't no Louis tho. We came for lunch this go around. It opens at 1130 and we were third in line at 1115. Not sure how far in advance dinner resos go but they had none available for when we were in town. This place will always be a go to destination when we are in Aspen. The social status of people that go here is pretty great too.

Honestly you cannot go wrong here! My favorite spot visiting Aspen the first time, Oysters were delicious and service was on point. Super cute spot but also super small to me so be careful cause it gets pretty busy. The Louisiana Oysters is a must!! We went twice it was that good!!!

Ambiance - spacious, modern, can get noisy, packed during the day Service - our server was super nice & made sure we were good on drinks Food - oysters were fresh & cold, crab cake was so good (had chunks/pieces of crab in it), highly recommend their espresso martini

Everything was amazing at Clark's!!! We had just driven across the Independence parkway into Aspen and were ready for a tasty late lunch. (With a few cocktails) Beginning with the hostess, to the server who poured our water, to our table server- all of the staff was so nice and all of the food we tried was delicious. The atmosphere is light, bright and fun- with a cool aquarium up front! We began with oysters- recommended by our server and the steak tartare- we didn't need both but I'm so glad we ordered them- incredibly good and fresh! I ordered the Crab Louie and my husband ordered the Tuna Salad Sandwich for our mains...not disappointed- the tuna was huge, but very delicious- served with skinny shoestring fries. My Crab Louie was just the right size and again, so tasty and fresh. We wanted to try the caviar, but we didn't, so we may have to go back for that. It was a great experience - from all of the servers to the food and the atmosphere, I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

    Lobster roll and crab cake

THE seafood spot in Aspen. We started with Oysters and loved all of them especially east coast "sex on the bay" oyster. Our mains were the lobster roll and the crab cake. The lobster roll was good but was on the drier side with only butter, no sauce. The fries were salty and unique, paired perfectly with the bread and lobster. The crab cake was excellent, one of the best I've had comparing it to other fine dining seafood experiences. The restaurant itself was calm and friendly. Great for casual yet nice lunch or dinner!

A very nice sea food restaurant. We ordered the beef tartar, which was incredibly tender and delicious. The octopus was well seasoned. The shrimp linguine was well cooked but it was a bit bland after tasting the octopus. Should probably have asked for a bit of more salt.

The obsession with this pasta dish and their oysters is so real! I come here every year and will continue to come just for this pasta dish. 10/10 recommend

    key lime tart

The lobster roll, oysters, linguine, mussels and clams, and hamburger were all delicious. However, for the price, I would have wanted a little more lobster and less fries taking up the entire plate. Interior was very cute.

I was in Aspen for a few days and I'd looked up some good food spots to consider beforehand. This place was well reviewed and looked good. My friend and I arrived and walked in. We were met with a bright pleasant feel and the smell of good seafood. It was packed for the lunch rush. We put our name and number on the waiting list and were told it would be 15 minutes. No problem, so we walked around and checked out some nearby shops and enjoyed the cool air and the great views. (this was Nov. 1st 2024) Right on time, we got a text and we hustled back. We were seated immediately at a table against the wall and we perused the menu. Fresh slices of sourdough bread with radishes, salt and butter arrived. Tasty. We ordered some oysters and some drinks. We especially enjoyed the "oishi" variety. They were fantastic. Plump, deep cupped & briny, a bit creamy and had a bit of the taste of watermelon rind at the end. They reminded me a bit of Kumamoto oysters which are my favorite. Delicious. Then we got our entrees. I had a terrific bowl of chowder with Tabasco. Really good with bits of bacon and some oyster crackers on the side. My friend had the grilled oysters that came with more crusty bread. He loved it. The service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed but upscale. I saw a huge good looking burger with a stack of fries and an equally big BLT as it passed by for another table. So, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again soon and trying more of the menu. 10/10

The service was wonderful, we got our food very quickly, and the ambiance was adorable. A little loud but nothing too crazy. The food itself was fine. We ordered the duo dip, French fries, the French dip, and the chicken sandwich. The guac and the other dip were really good and we loved the chips too. The fries are pretty much what you'd expect, except once they got to room temperature they became super hard and not very edible. My husband said the French dip meat was good and tender, pretty good flavor overall. I had the chicken sandwich which was huge! They split the sandwich into three wedges and I could only finish two. I liked the texture of the chicken was nice and I liked the slaw on it, however, the flavor overall was kind of lacking. I would say it was a bit overhyped. Overall, it was a nice experience for a decent price and I'm glad we went. Would we go back? Probably.

I also had a mocktail; they had a floral sounding gin-based cocktail ($25) but I didn't want to drink alcohol (worried about having a headache) and they made me a mocktail version ($18) and it tasted girly and fun (just like I like my drinks!). There is downtown Aspen parking available around, it's all per hour and seasonal rates, plus residential parking which is a bit cheaper. So glad we did. On our last night in town, we had reservations at a restaurant down the street and came here for a pre-meal beverage. Upon entering the Hyatt, a see-through fireplace to the left serves as your initial glimpse into the tasting room. Coming from the traditional mountain chic of the hotel, the Marble Bar's decor is strikingly different, with its HGTV clean lines / grey / white modern aesthetic. Yet it still manages to be wonderfully cozy with multiple small group sitting areas, complete with fur throws and the aforementioned wood burning fireplaces, as well as bar seating if that's more your thing. There is also an outdoor fire pit that looked tempting, but it was snowing pretty heavily, and we said another time. The place was quiet with only 2 other patrons when we first arrived, but after about 30 mins it was quite lively. The mixologist (not to sound pretentious, but 'bartender' just doesn't do her justice) was amazing. I'm so sorry I can't remember her name, but if I say Boston then it should be obvious who I'm referring to. She was a great conversationalist, excellent cocktail fabricator, and really helped get our evening off to a perfect start. We would have stayed longer if it weren't for those reservations. As for the most important piece, the beverages! We had 4 different whiskey based cocktails amongst the group, and all were absolutely fantastic - there was a lot of sharing. I had The Paragon and enjoyed it so much went home with a small bottle of the Moonlight EXpresso (not a typo) Reserve to try to recreate the magic. I was told it was one of the first liqueurs created by the owner, and the website has a recipe for cheesecake, which I certainly will be trying. I did not feel like arguing so we just decided to have some pizzas and drinks. That was a big mistake. I ordered what looked like a calzone (pizza that is wrapped) and it was the saltiest dish I've tried. Again we were trying to be mindful and too nice but I think we just went too far for being too nice. I then ordered the other pizza and it was honestly quite mediocre. The waiter was really nice and that's why I'm giving it 1 star otherwise it would be zero for us. They weren't even willing to provide salad. Come on! You can't even make salad in your kitchen? That was just ridiculous. And believe it or not, we had amazing food in every other restaurant we tried in Aspen so this was certainly a one off. My suggestion to the management team is to be honest about your the last call from your kitchen. If you close at 10pm and your kitchen runs till 9pm, you ought to be able to take orders till 9pm. Otherwise, be upfront and shot down kitchen at 8:30pm. Quite disappointed and not even sure if I would ever want to give this place a try.
