"When I was young it seemed that life was so wonderful, a miracle......" I know. I know. Could I get more cliche than quoting a Supertramp song from the album that this diner is named after? I mean, I could talk about how my flight from Dallas was canceled and I had to take the long way home but I don't think you would be interested. Forget the nonsense, this is a good place for breakfast. If you are a fan of slightly divey no-frills diners, this is the place for you. Those are my favorite places so I was quite happy. Breakfast is simple and the coffee is self serve and plentiful. I recommend sitting at the bar for the full diner effect. I had a western omelet and hashbrowns. They didn't blow me away but I did see the corn beef hash and it looked amazing. The omelet was the better part of the meal and the fact that they had El Yucateca hot sauce made it even better. Making matters even better was that the prices were reasonable. Reasonable prices in this area are hard to come by so make sure you eat here.

This was a recommendation by my Brother in Law. We stopped here on the way to Aspen & had a great breakfast. Friendly service & a wide variety to choose from. I had coffe & the Huevos Rancheros, Christmas style with red & green chili sauce. It was delicious- with melted cheddar cheese, chopped scallions, pulled pork & beans & corn tortilla & crispy, shredded hash browns. I ordered my eggs over easy & loved this dish. My husband got the combo with biscuits & gravy & eggs, over easy & he really enjoyed his as well. Good place to stop for a filling breakfast with good service.

Breakfast in America is a no-frills mom-and-pop breakfast spot that gives you your bang for your buck. The prices are super affordable with plenty of entrees under $10, and the portion sizes are huge. The food is nothing fancy, but it is yummy comfort food that hits the spot. My boyfriend and I came for breakfast, and we had the huevos rancheros and the corned beef hash. The staff and service are both efficient, and we got our food relatively quickly. We came in hungry but left very stuffed and with some leftovers. Breakfast in America is the spot to go to for simple homemade food. Breakfast is the specialty, but there is a lunch menu as well. However, this is not the place for a late lunch - the restaurant closes at 1:50 P.M. everyday except Sunday in which they close an hour earlier. If you want a cheap and tasty meal, go to Breakfast in America. If you want a fancy meal, there are plenty of other options in the area.

Good old fashioned breakfasts with a few twists. Reasonably priced for the region of the state. And the staff is friendly.

It is warm, unpretentious, and packed with the kind of local energy you can not fake. The burger with sweet potato fries is the move, the fish and chips delivers, and the menu hits that rare sweet spot of comfort food you actually crave after a long day. The real reason we will be back is the service. Chloe and Kendall were the stars of the show, sharp, welcoming, and genuinely on point without ever hovering. If you want a place with honest food, a solid pour, and a staff that makes you feel like you belong, Brick Pony just earned a customer for life.

I had "The Regular" burger with a side of sweet potato fries, and it was so good. The fries and burger were excellent. My friend ordered two big beers and really enjoyed them. We got good service from a teenager who was kind of awkward but very attentive. I didn't bring this up because I didn't want to bother him, but the menu clearly says that you can add cheese, mushrooms, and avocado for $1, but they charged $3 for it. I was wondering if I had somehow misread it, and that they charge $1 for each extra topping, but the receipt said the avocado was $2 and cheese + mushrooms was $1. I do not like a misleading menu and price discrepancies. It ended up being around $28 after tip, which was pricey for just a burger and fries at a casual bar.

Do not continuously touch your hair. You work in the food biz, & we DO NOT want you constantly running your hands through your ponytail, then touching our food. 2. Girl, I made 40% tips when I was a server because I was warm, friendly, & authentically cared about my guests. Perhaps it's just your personality, but you were cold, not friendly, & mostly ignored me. Your $$$ loss. Here are some tips to provide good service: 1. Smile & make your guests feel welcomed. 2. Do not ignore them for 15 minutes after you serve water. Please take their order w/in 5 minutes.. 3. Work on your aloofness. Be warm. I am an extremely generous tipper when I have good service. You made me feel like you wanted me to leave. 4. Check in on your guests to see if they need drink refills--especially when they are eating spicy food. 5. Your livelihood depends on your demeanor. Be friendly if you would like a nice tip. If not, you deserve zero! My food was fine for what Zane's is. But a meal is ruined by bad service. Warm, friendly, excellent service can make all the difference in the world when the food is mediocre. Let's do better next time! :)

I visited this restaurant with my cousin, I am a visitor from out of town, because she had eaten…read morehere before and had a good experience. I received the complete opposite impression as soon as we sat down... The sign said see the host stand to be seated, so as we were making our way over there a nice young man told us to pick any table we would like. My cousin said the river view was very pretty, so we chose a table with that view. That table, along with a few others, had not been cleared/cleaned yet (which we didn't have a problem with but apparently they did). We sat down and a very rude server came over and essentially asked why we were sitting at a dirty table and that they have a system with the host desk. We said we didn't mind, but again they seemed to have a problem - because she walked away and the bar tender came over and asked if we checked in with anyone. She also seemed to have a problem with the fact that we sat at a dirty table! And then a third server came over and said "Can I get you anything else to drink besides a dirty table?" At that point, we just left. One rude encounter, okay, but 3 different people?? Absolutely unacceptable. We will never be eating there again and I will be telling my family to do the same.

MUST READ PRIOR TO VISIT…read more We dined at Tipsy Trout on Friday evening, March 20th. The dinner itself was good--two beers, a burger and fries--and the price was reasonable for the area. Our waitress was also great during the meal. Unfortunately, everything that followed completely overshadowed the dining experience. When we sat down on the patio, I took my wallet out of my back pocket and placed it on the table. After finishing dinner, we paid and left. About 5-7 minutes later, I realized I had left my wallet behind and returned immediately to retrieve it. When I got back, two new guests were seated at the table and said they had not seen a wallet and that the table had been cleaned before they arrived. I spoke with our waitress, who told me the manager had cleared the table, so I checked with him as well. He said he had not seen it. At that point, it became clear that my wallet had gone missing while still on the restaurant property. I had an AirTag in the wallet, and its location never left the premises. I searched extensively and asked multiple staff members if they had seen it, but no one had. Eventually, my friend found my wallet in the alley behind the restaurant, near a cigarette tray and some brush. The wallet still contained my cards, but my ID and $5 cash were missing. I returned to speak with the manager again about the missing items and got no meaningful help or resolution. I filed a report with the Basalt Police that evening at the restaurant. An officer came out, took the report, spoke with employees, and began reviewing the situation, including obtaining security camera footage from the restaurant. Early the next morning, the police department returned to follow up, speak with staff, and search the property. Later that morning, I received a call that my ID had been located in the trash room associated with the restaurant in the same alley area where the wallet was originally found. I was informed by law enforcement that the matter is under investigation and that multiple individuals of interest had been identified. Credit to the Basalt Police Department--they went above and beyond to recover my ID and follow up on this situation. I have not heard from ownership regarding this situation. While the food and service during the meal were good, the overall experience was unacceptable. Having personal property go missing on-site, later recovered in an alley and trash area with items removed, combined with the lack of accountability or follow-up, is not something I would expect anywhere. I would not recommend dining here based on this experience.
