Lovely new salon. I found it easy to get a last minute appointment which made it extra convenient. The salon is clean and I had many colors to choose from. Being that the salon is new the nail colors are nice and viscous and not clumpy. The technician took care with my nails and didn't file aggressively which I prefer for my nails. Although they accept walk-ins I strongly recommend making a reservation on the weekends at two attempts at walking in were unsuccessful. Love this new salon in the Mart! The service is excellent and it was very easy to get an appointment. I left a message and they called back immediately as I needed to change my time. I am impressed with the cleanliness of the salon and their approach. Was excited to check this place out as I live nearby. I called at 10:20 to ask to walk in for a pedicure in 10 minutes. They offered a 10:30 appointment and I accepted as I was leaving to drive there from across the street. They asked to provide a credit card and I said that I'm already driving and be there in less than 10 minutes. They said they need it for appointment and I had to pull over to give them the card number. Arrived 5 minutes late due to that and they said that they won't do a full service because I'm late. I explained why I was late and they said no anyway. I asked to cancel appointment then and they canceled it and proceeded to charge me $60 anyway. I noticed a charge notification as I was walking out and came back to ask about it and the girl at the desk said "I'm just doing my job. We have 24 hour cancellation policy". But after I complained offered a refund as an exception. This all happened in 15 minutes total, from me calling to arriving at the place. Manager was nice and understanding about the situation. But this is still very uncomfortable and unfortunately can't go back there now. Bummer, as the place looks cute. read more

I love Marlowe. Everyone is super sweet. The nail polish choices are incredible! I've been getting a mani/ pedi here regularly since they opened and have no complaints. Once I had a mani that got bubbles in it. I called the next day and explained what was going on and they scheduled me for that day, fixed my manicure and I was on my way. WOW! I was so impressed with the beautiful space, large polish selection and FANTASTIC service. Marlowe is the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to. It is clear they take pride, everyone was friendly (also seemed happy to work there) and went above and beyond. My nail technician Vivian was so kind, caring, detail oriented and had incredible precision. She cared about my needs and comfort ensuring I had the best mani pedi experience. Wow! Walked in on a whim and they were able to book me an appointment in about 20 minutes! Front desk staff was super kind. I had Vivian who did my gel manicure and she did an great job. My nails look better than ever. I also had a normal pedicure with Erica and she provided the best pedicure I've ever had. Would highly recommend. The only downside to this place is the price. Yes, the space and staff are incredible but the price is also much higher than usual. read more

There's a lot to love about Marlowe, the ambiance is great, the staff are friendly and accommodating, it's sooooo cleanly, but the quality of mani/pedi's is not great. I've had several mani/pedi's at Marlowe and have found that my nails are after chipping after a few days. Most recently I got my nails done for the holidays and three days later my nails were already chipping. I called and they were lovely about getting me in to re-paint my nails, but sure enough another three days later they're already chipping again . Maybe it's the nail polish, but my past mani's have again lasted only a few days before starting to take a turn. Such a bummer because the experience otherwise is great, but it's hard to justify paying $150+ for my nails to be chipped a few days later. I hope they can look into their polishes or application process to see if they can fix it because the rest of the experience is so great. read more

Visited for the first time over the weekend. The good: it's super clean and gorgeous. They were on time. The meh: the neutral color selection isn't great. No Ballet Slippers, Mademoiselle, Sugar Daddy. They had Bubble Bath but it was way more opaque and peachy than what I'm used to. Know idea why. Also, I ended up with 3 coats of polish which defeats the natural look. Next, while I didn't need my lower cuticles trimmed, I did ask to trim the sides and she trimmed hardly anything. I got home and found some that should have been trimmed. My technician, who was very nice, was just kind of meek. She barely gave me a massage, just kind of wiping and patting my hands. I was disappointed because she told me they are different bec it's an elevated experience. No it's not. It's an expensive standard mani in a nice space. Maybe I'll try a new technician. But I also just love my regular place that's way less expensive. How a basic mani is $78 is beyond me. read more

I live close by the new Marlowe and have watched it take shape for many months -- as a working toddler mom, getting self-care time is RARE. However, I am trying to be better at this, and made an appointment for a much needed pedi at Marlowe. Front desk staff and nail care staff person were a delight. Warm welcome, well lit, gorgeous salon and very high quality service. Prosecco was a wonderful touch as well. I wish them nothing but success in their new location. I'll also say that I live across the street, so walking was quickest, but the country mart has ample parking and that makes a big difference. Also, contactless payment when booking online, a huge plus -- and appts starting on time so you can build self-care into the work schedule. Well done! read more

This was my 2nd time going to Marlowe in Larkspur. What a fabulous nail salon! For starters, they are very high tech in that they allow you to book online and even choose the person you want. The interior is so well designed, fresh, clean, and modern. They have a lot of employees so it's not difficult getting an appointment. They have a really great selection of nail polish colors in various brands. Everyone who works there is friendly and welcoming. The pedicure I got both times were the best I've had in a long time. Most of the nail salons I've been to over the years tend to have people who are somewhat aggressive in how they prep your nails, etc. I also often feel like they are rushing to get my nails done so they can move onto the next customer. Not at Marlow! They are gentle and careful not to cause any discomfort, and they do the work in a careful, methodical way. I drove all the way from Petaluma for this and will definitely make that my go-to spot. It's totally worth the drive. read more
