Be Polished is the BEST nail salon in Marin! I have been a regular client for 2 years now and this review is long overdue. Ruby, her sister, and their team are so sweet and caring, they do amazing services and my favorites are always dip manicure in almond shape and gel pedicure. I took my mom to this salon for the first time and she's extremely pain sensitive with manicures, however, the beautiful ladies at Be Polished are so gentle she was able to comfortably get a gel manicure and our next appointment is booked already. Was a nice salon at first. But after a few visits I literally got Paronychia (infected finger) and have never returned.

I've been going to Polished Nail Spa for a few months and it's the best Nail Salon in the Bay Area! My friend recommended that I go to Ruby and she's amazing! I get a perfect mani whenever I see her. She is skilled at doing a cat eye mani as well. Most nail techs don't know how to do it. I get SO MANY compliments on my nails now. My nails are also a lot stronger than they were a few months ago. I'm so happy I found Ruby and Polished Nail Spa! Jane also does a really good pedicure and her massages are so relaxing too! I would give them 10 stars if I could! I had a pedicure a few years ago at Polished and still fighting a fungus infection. One Dermatologist said it may never go away. It was at the end of the day and things were probably not sanitized enough. I will never have another pedicure. Doing creams, vinegar soaks, powder, anti fungal soaps and everything else on the market. Good luck out there ! read more

The best dip bar done! I am in awe at what this salon has done for my nail condition and strength with their dip treatment. Ruby is a nail genius: my color stays on for a month with no chips or fading, and my fingernails are now strong, healthy and about twice as long as they've ever been able to grow. Have tried this place a few times and they do a fine job. However after my last visit I will not return. I had a 10am appointment for a pedicure + manicure and had to wait until 10:45 to get my nails started. As I'm sitting waiting, come to find out they "squeezed" someone in ahead of me - hence why I was 45 minutes behind. My biggest pet peeve of any salon. If I have an appointment please don't put walk-ins ahead and make me late. Will not return. Plus this time the pedicure and gel were subpar. read more

I just had a fabulous outdoor pedicure at Polished - my first time there! I used their site to book an appointment and it was so easy. I've been dying for a pedicure and pretty sure I haven't had one since 2019 thanks to COVID. The nail tech, Pammy, was an absolute gem and scrubbed my feet thoroughly and even clipped my dead skin off (exactly what I wanted!) I highly recommend paying extra for the deluxe pedi to get the leg / foot massage. I've been ultra paranoid about Covid but I felt totally safe outside with no one near me. I asked for a deluxe pedi ( I was dreaming about it as my legs are heavy and I had lot stress lately ) she did the job my nails and massage in 15 minutes max , the massage was 2 minutes, I felt so rush and next to me they were an older women and they massage her for at least 10 minutes. I mean honestly my nails were beautiful and they did a good job on that but it supposed to be a relaxing moment and I felt like they try to do my many and pedi super quick .. in 35 minutes my nails ( botherpedi and many ) were already done. Disappointed:/ for the price that I paid , I know I look young so maybe they believed that I didn't had money or I was too young I'm not sure but I am mentioning that because I have experienced that many times, people doesn't always treat me like I'm a grown woman. I'm shocked to see this place has such a bad rating! I was here yesterday for a mani & pedi and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. They were polite, friendly, and made me feel super relaxed. I'm not from the area and was only in town visiting, but this would definitely be my go-to nail salon if I lived nearby. I was shocked the TOTAL for both services was only $43! What a great deal. Sadly I didn't have any cash on me to tip (they only accept cash tips) but I would have happily tipped the ladies more than I normally would at home. Horrible service. Burned my skin while filing down my nails. Couldn't shape correctly so I had to fix it because my nail was SO crooked. She literally only had to put on two nails that fell off. The others were already pre shaped. She couldn't even shape the two she had to put on. It was so crooked. Her demeanor was unapologetically rude and offensive. Will never go there again. I work in the beauty industry and recommend places that I find amazing for my clients to go and get things done...this will be a NEVER GO TO kind of place. Look at my nails. My manicure had polish around the nails on the skin after finishing. They didn't really scrub my feet, was still left with dead skin after. we were in and out in less than an hour. The worst part is they charged $10 extra to remove the gel polish I already had on. It's luxuriously decorated and the services provided are first rate. There is a private outside alley that is beautifully appointed and the ambiance for both inside and outside is pandemic safe and very calming. Gross. The place is dirty and poorly run. I booked an appointment with a specific manicurist I trusted from the past. I was 5 min early for my scheduled appointment and shown to a pedicure chair 5 min late... no biggie. There was someone's half eaten lunch bag from rustic bakery under the chair. Gross. They brought me the copper water bowl and then left me and the rotten lunch bag to soak for WAY too long. I then watched the girl I BOOKED take another client who walked in after me. Clearly this lady was a regular because they addressed each other by name, but I BOOKED HER!!! Tei (spelling) is her name. Finally my pedicure started and the girl removed the lunch bag and gave me a dirty look like it was MINE! The scowl never left her face, we never spoke. A day later I woke up in the middle of the night with a stabbing pain in my toe! I had a terrible infection in an area where she cut my toe back WAY too far!! I still have a bruise where the toe is STILL infected a WEEK later!!! Beware this place is severely lacking in quality, hygiene, professionalism and bedside manner. Will never be back!!!! read more
