I'm very particular about where I get my nails done -- so many places leave your nails clumpy, thick, or chipping within days (especially with natural polish). Nail Motif is the complete opposite. I don't know what magic they use, but my natural polish manicures last a solid week -- sometimes even longer! The quality is unmatched. Beyond the results, the entire experience is just wonderful. The salon is clean, bright, and welcoming, with an amazing polish selection. I never know what color to choose, but the team always steers me right -- they have a great eye and never miss. The foot massages during the pedicures are next-level relaxing, whether you want to chat or just unwind. The Nail Motif ladies are warm, funny, and genuinely care about making every client feel like they're among friends. Even the other customers are kind and friendly -- it's truly just good vibes all around. I live in Corte Madera and have several salons I could walk to, but Nail Motif is 100% worth the drive. My husband loves them too, and it is his birthday treat every year to go get a pedicure there. I've been going to Motif for 2+ years now, and am so grateful I found my new spot :) read more

I am lucky to live around the corner from this lovely & charming nail salon. The work is impeccable. The technicians are always accommodating and kind. Fresh air blowing through the salon, never a chemical smell. Tub guards, sterilized equipment(of course) and impeccably clean. I'm a fan!!! Nail Motif - Regular mani that lasts for week no chipping! - Nail Salons Near Me - Mill Valley, California

Solid nail salon in Mill Valley, clean and tiny. This is one of the better local spots despite being small as a postage stamp. About seven pedicure chairs and a single table for gel nails. Overall the crew is friendly and attentive, and they often have couples in, and it's not unusual to see a gentleman in here, for husbands who want to enjoy a more comfortable co-ed setting. read more

I'm telling you right now - there is a reason this place has 5 stars. If you are debating where to go in the area...look no further. 1) Masks required (yay) and appointment required (also great for Covid pre-caution) 2) The ladies are so friendly and kind! 3) A WIDE variety of color options. They do regular polish, gel, or drip powder. 4) My pedicure was incredible. Hot stones....OKAY!! Seriously I felt like I was living the life of luxury. They made me feel so taken care of. I loved the massage chairs too! 5) To keep things Covid-safe, manicures are also given OUTSIDE if need be. Such an awesome service. All employees are in masks as well. Pedicure came out to $35. I paid/tipped in cash (as far as tips go, they prefer cash!). Venmo and CC are also accepted. Lots of street parking. This place is a gem. You will not regret it!! read more

My mom and I come all the way from Tiburon just to get our nails done at Nail Motif, and it's 100% worth it every time. We have been coming to their nail salon for years, since they opened! The quality of their work is unbeatable. Every time our manicures and pedicures always come out amazing and last so long. The salon is clean, cozy, and relaxing, and the staff are super talented, incredibly kind, and friendly. They do a great job with everything. They take their time to make sure every detail is perfect. We've tried other places closer to home, but nothing compares to Nail Motif. This salon ruined my nails. my nail beds are thin painful to touch and damaged beyond imagination after I took their nails off. Even when they were placing the nails they damaged my cuticles - bleeding and then developed scabs around my nails. Not mention I could not use warm water because my nails were so sensitive. I would never go back there obviously. I confronted them but they are no willing to admit mistake which I despise personally. I contacted my bank to dispute the transaction but they had no honor and would continue fighting me. Ugh. Frustrating experience, obviously. I hope I can attach photos to my review. read more

Nail motif is the best! they do great work, and they are so kind and fun. i really appreciate how they treat their clients.

I love Nail Motif, they are great. They are very professional and really care about their work. Their salon is very clean and they use high quality products. Lee has been doing my nails for many years and she is the best. I recommend this salon to everyone, I will not let anyone touch my nails read more

LEE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE!! Two weeks ago, during my nail appointment. She rushed through the service, resulting in sloppy work. The following day, I called to express my dissatisfaction and requested that my nails be redone, mentioning that I would consider leaving a negative review due to the poor service. Lee told me to come in whenever I could, and she would fix them for me. When I went in today, she began raising her voice at me, she said, "Don't threaten me with bad reviews. Everyone loves my work. I'm proud of my work, and I don't want people like you in my salon." There were two other people present who were listening to this exchange. Feeling uncomfortable, I asked for someone else to do my nails and pulled my hands away. However, she aggressively grabbed my hands back and said, "No, I'll do them." She then started roughly removing the old nail polish. This was the worst experience I have ever had; I have never been treated so unprofessionally. It was clear that there was a lack of etiquette and basic courtesy on her behalf. read more

I've been coming to see Lien and the ladies for 18 years when they first started at Nail Connections in Corte Madera. They are very professional, clean, have an attention to detail, remember their clients preferences and would never suggest a style/color they don't think you would like even if they would make more money on the service. I've followed them to their own business at Nail Motif and recommend them to all my friends! As it relates to COVID-19 procedures, they ensure clients are 6 ft or more apart. They give options for in door or outdoor service and wear gloves, masks and shields. They take everyone's temperature before service. read more

I have been going to Nail Motif for over 2 years now and I'm always so happy with the work they do! The women there are professional, kind and truly care about the health of your nails. I always take their advice when it comes to nail care and absolutely trust their opinions and insight every time I come in! They have kept my nails healthy and beautiful over the years. When I'm feeling super indecisive, I trust their opinion on color-- they know what works! The business is clean and the quality you get is top notch. had the most stressful nail experience ever here today. Was so excited to get my nails done for my sisters bachelorette party. First, my nail tech rushed me picking a color and was rude about the fact that I was having a hard time deciding. Then she did the most sloppy awful job i've ever had done. I was visibly upset and they did not care. Photo here of the inspo I wanted (bottom) and what I got (top). SO SLOPPY and awful. I cant beleive this is the quality of work they allow and they have the audacity to charge $120 for a mani pedi. read more

One of the worst manicures I have ever received. I'm uncertain why my experience was so different from other reviews, but I was so dissatisfied. My technician rushed the process ans just slapped polished onto my nails in a very haphazard way; my cuticles were a mess and my polish was uneven and lumpy. I came home and took it off and my nails underneath looked a mess! read more

Super cute new nail place right in Mill Valley. The space is small, but it's extremely clean (no chemical smell and tools fresh from the autoclave) and well-appointed. Some of the nicest massage chairs I've had ever had a pedicure in! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and it was easy to make a same-day appointment. I'm giving Nail Motif 5 stars because my gel mani and pedi were perfect quality. The hot-stone foot and hand massage was a really luxurious touch, too. read more

It's been over 2 weeks and my basic mani pedi still looks great. I was able to make a same day appointment but this place is small and I suspect will start getting busier and harder to get into. Everyone was super friendly, the space was clean and comfortable. Only concern is in small space when lady next to me opted for fake nails it was hard to tolerate the fumes. Overall the quality of work was much better than the previous 3 places I had been to. read more

I unfortunately had a really bad experience at Nail Motif. My gel pedicure was sloppy, but even worse was my dip manicure. I asked them not to cut or file my nails shorter, but that was disregarded and my nails were hacked off. I asked explicitly to preserve the length, showed an example of the preferred shape, but I guess they knew what I wanted better. The gel on top isn't set correctly and now the top layer is peeling off within an hour of getting them done. I was also told multiple times how much additional work it is to do dip, as if I shouldn't have asked for it and I was lucky to get whatever I got. All around that was the sentiment, I was ungrateful if I didn't just sit back and accept whatever they did. Also their prices are more than advertised in the post on Yelp - this was $115 which is significantly more expensive than I've experienced elsewhere, but I'm still struggling to find somewhere that does a good job with dip in Marin. read more

This place is bright, comfortable and clean. The nail technicians are friendly and they do a really nice job! Covid safety measures are in place and they have complimentary wifi and candy. Good selection of nail colors available. They also do heated stone massage as part of their regular pedicure which is sooo nice. This is my "go-to"mill valley nail salon. They do get busy especially on the weekends, so make sure to call ahead for an appointment to avoid a wait. Highly recommended Nail Motif! read more
