I used to come here in it's many incarnations. But this current crew of ladies really get some great nails done and long lasting. I do Gel on hands a few times in a row then take a break. Regular on feet always. If i try to compare with other places this place is better in quality~ for how long your mani or pedi will last. You will frequently find it packed so you really do need to call ahead. One time i was turned away despite a reservation but i was 5-10 mins too late and they did turn me away. So be aware of that precision ~despite thinking all nail places that don't really put your name down, this seems to only happen here. So many full spectrum of colors by several brands with matching color in gel. One lady or 2 are specialists on the artwork. Not like LA but they can try anything from a picture. First time at this shop, came because of the cool nail art I saw on Yelp and wanted a fun design. After my manicure, I left the shop and didn't notice until I got home that the edges of the French tip were kind of rough, it didn't quite match the quality I saw in the photos. Next day I called and asked if I could come back to have them cleaned up and May was really kind about it and didn't just fix the edge she fully re-did the French tips and smoothed out the areas where the dip was bumpy. It came out really amazing, great place for fun designs! May is very sweet and genuinely wants customers to have a good experience. Price is fair/about the same I've paid in the past ($55 for dip), they prefer cash over card just as a headsup. read more

Never in my life have I had a worse manicure experience. The salon felt dirty and crowded. The staff was unfriendly, and most importantly did a terrible job picking at my cuticles, filing my nails all the way down with a very coarse file, and pouring on the polish. I asked for a single coat of polish, and they insisted on two coats. As you can see from the photos, the second coat was way too heavy, and did not evenly cover the surface, leaving big drip marks and causing them to chip off the next day. The hand massage used a combination of lotion and oil which felt slimy. Two days later, all nails looked like the last photo and I removed the remaining polish. Needless to say, I will not be back. Looks like there are plenty of positive reviews, so hopefully my experience was not the norm! read more

I went to this place three years ago I went with my dad and one of my school friends to get our nails done for my birthday I got my nails done and after they were done my fingers were bleeding so were my dads my friend had a small cut to.They were not easy on the nail it was roughly used.I went back today after 3 years once again I came out the place with three cuts on my finger.They we're not very open to conversation.He also poured alcohol on my cuts making them burn. read more

I asked for tips with dip powder and after they glued all the tips on they asked what shape I wanted, I said long coffin. They said the woman who does that shape isn't in. Ok, honest mistake. I didn't ask prior. But here's where it all goes terribly wrong. They remove the tips, barely buff out my nails and try to send me on my not so merry way. Hold the phone, you're gonna let me out into the wild with rough, glue-y, misshapen, downright ugly nails? Uhm no. I asked politely for her to fix them and she did, begrudgingly and barely. I went ~3 times last year and had a good experience. Today was not the same and I won't come back. There was a mom who complained about the quality of her daughter's nails (sharp edges). At first I thought the mom might just be really picky, but then I had a similar experience. My nails were cut/filed very roughly and they got caught on my sweater. I had to fix this at home. The person doing my pedicure re-did a couple of my nails because of debris (??!) in the bottle. That was a nice gesture except that she skipped the base coat. I also had a nail with many, many bubbles. This one was redone the same way. To make it all worse, I had to ask them to apply top coat after 5 minutes of waiting. My gel manicure is not good. Because of the poor filing, the polish is peeling back already and it's only been 3 hours. I also have bubbles / polish coming off from the top. This has never happened to me before. Sad that the quality of service has gone down :( read more

I'm very particular with acrylics, the shape/design, polish application etc. and she exceeded my expectations. She takes her time and makes sure that her customers are happy. Ace had an incredible setup outside to ensure safety precautions were followed during covid. We had an appointment for three and were done in under an hour and a half for all of us, which in my experience is really quick! They had gloves for patrons to wear when selecting nail color, plexiglass dividers at the manicure and pedicure stations, and had each station more than 6 feet apart. They were thorough in checking temperature, ensuring patrons used hand sanitizer in between services, and were overall incredibly professional! Being outside on a sunny day with a view full of trees was the cherry on top of an already wonderful service. They did a great job and I will definitely be back again! I want to preface by saying that I am sure this is a wonderful nail salon given the high reviews and I am giving them benefit of the doubt and hoping it was just an off day. The ladies that run this shop are lovely. However I do want to share my experience as this was the poorest nail experience I have encountered. I really was not satisfied by my experience. First off, I asked for Gel X but was clearly given acrylic while getting charged the gel x price. My friend is a nail tech out of state and when I showed her my nails, she said that these were definitely acrylic and I got charged a higher price. More importantly though, the nails were not fitting on my fingers well even though I asked the nail tech about it. See the images. The nails lifted only after a week. I am on vacation right now and the lifting is causing hair and dust to constantly get stuck. It is ridiculous. This was a poorly done manicure and I really am hoping that this experience can be corrected. Again, the women are lovely and kind and I am hoping this was an off day, but I was not satisfied with my experience at all. read more

Such a great experience getting a pedicure with my mom this morning for a little Mother's Day celebration! We scheduled them ahead of time and they were ready to help us as soon as we arrived. Mia helped me, and May helped my mom. I generally knew the type of color I wanted, and Mia was so helpful finding the perfect match for me. The place was very clean and they left the door open for fresh air. They also had 2-3 chairs set up outside for clients. The massage chairs (inside) were amazing- I just wanted to sit in them all day! They used hot stones in my foot/ calf massage too which was special and felt amazing. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back, and may try some of the fancier designs I saw on their Yelp page next time! read more

So glad I found this nail salon in MV! This has been my go-to spot for the past year. Prior, it's been a struggle to find a consistently good place that offers the same great service and quality. May is the best and is fantastic at nail design. There is a wide array of color options and they just got a brand new set of gel polish, which is amazing by the way. For regular/gel manis, Raychelle and Mia are my girls. Both are so sweet and so thorough with my cuticles and polish application. Literally lasts forever without any chips!!
