I have been going to Sunshine Nails for a few years now. I get a men's mani/pedi. They do a great job and include hot-stone, grinding of my calluses from working out, and cleaning up my cuticles (yes, I admittedly bite them and have been unable to kick the habit). I also like that I can pay with Venmo, they offer wifi in the shop, the massage chairs work, and they know me by name when I call. Couldn't recommend them more highly! read more

I have been going there for a few years when I'm in town. Each time I am there (and it's not busy) two girls work on me. While one is giving me a supposedly "relaxing pedicure)" and another on my hands, they speak to each other in their language. It makes it impossible to relax and enjoy! When I returned home and had to have another gel manicure we noticed there was color left on my nails that could not be removed. I was told Sunshine must be using a very cheap product. It has been almost 2 months and the color is still there. No one has been able to remove it entirely so I have had to get color on my nails instead of clear. read more

My daughter and I recently got our nails done at Sunshine. Techs took their time but the work was very sloppy. My nails (gel) chipped the next day & my daughters (gel) also chipped the day after. We live about 40 mins away. Thought we would return but we won't. Was really hoping that we had found a nice place. Only 2stars because the salon was very quiet. Regarding COVID restrictions, temp was not taken nor were we given sanitizer or asked to wash our hands before service started. read more

Went to get a manicure while visiting Sausalito with some friends. The place is clean and they did a nice job on our manicure. They have good selection of colors and it seemed to be a place locals go. They knew everyone that was coming in and out to get their nails done. One of the customer even asked if she could taste their fresh rolls which they had made/brought from home for their own lunch, so that tells you it's a friendly neighborhood nail salon. read more

Today I decided to give Sunshine Nails a second chance. And, I was not disappointed. I had a manicure with Lillian, the owner. She did an amazing job- dare I say the best manicure ever? I think so! Lillian was very gentle, never cutting my cuticles too short causing them to bleed. Her attention to detail was amazing! She got every single cuticle cleaned up. My hands have never looked better. Comfy chairs, great pricing and friendly customer service. I had a mani pedi - both fantastic - and thrilled to have found my new local nail spot when I'm home in Sausalito. + I'm lucky to be able to walk here, but otherwise this end of town can be tricky to park in. I was here a couple of weeks ago for a gel manicure and they did such a fantastic job, both with the manicure and ensuring that everything was clean and socially distant. I've been going to a different salon in Marin for years, but was so impressed with my manicure at sunshine that I think they're going to be my new go to spot. $40 for a gel manicure and 2 weeks later it still looks perfect. I absolutely adore the whole crew at Sunshine Nails! I discovered them a little over a year ago when I was desperate for a manicure and realized there was a salon right across the street from my boyfriend's apartment. I have never been disappointed! They do an absolutely fantastic gel manicure, all the girls are lovely, and Lillian is exceptional. They're great about walk ins and it's always easy to get an appointment. I'm actually really concerned about their closure due to the COVID-19 measures, but am keeping my fingers crossed they'll return to business as usual once the shelter-in-place orders have been lifted. The true test if a gel manicure is any good is really its longevity. Unfortunately, the one I got from Sunshine Nails didn't even last 1.5 weeks. In fact, it started chipping after 1 week. I've been getting gel manis for years, and I usually get 2 weeks, sometimes even 3 weeks out of those. So, even though the salon is really cute, clean, and they offer complimentary mimosas (yay!), I guess my search for a nail salon in Marin continues.. read more

I just had the nicest pedicure from Lucy. The shop is bright, clean and the chairs are deluxe, with lots of current mags to read. The massage chair was awesome and the foot massage was fantastic.... i floated out of there with lovely toenails. I just moved from Mill Valley where the nail shops are packed, often with children and moms and the nail people are always rushed with one eye on the door for new customers.
