I found my new nail spot!!! I just moved to the neighborhood and was so glad to stumble upon Suzie's Nails. Suzie was such a delight to be around. She's very friendly, sociable and has such great energy, you can tell she really cares about all of her clients. On top of that, she gave me an amazing dip powder manicure. Some places always do dip way too thick, but that's not the case with Suzie. She carefully put on the dip powder and kept it very thin making my nails look super natural! I thought I was going to like it at Suzie's Nails. The work isn't the issue I have. I went in for a mani pedi and it was $85. Toes gel and fingernails regular polish. I gave a great 24% tip. Great, right!? Then close to completing my nails I asked aren't you going to put light glitter which is what I said when I was picking out my colors. The gal proceeded to add literally a stroke of glitter. In the background Suzie is asking her if she charged me, the tech said no I didn't know and she already paid. Yes I already paid and gave my TIP. Suzie proceeds to come over to me and asks me to pay $3.00 for the glitter. She even volunteers to take my card out of my purse because my nails are wet.... I was so disappointed. Really? $3 charge after I just gave a nice tip and it wasn't my mistake. Someone didn't listen when I said what I wanted. Anyway, I'll try a different place moving forward. It's not the 3 bucks, believe me, I just didn't feel valued. And I've taken family and friends there also which didn't matter to her. She wanted her $3! read more

Thought I would try out a salon in Sausalito, and it was not what I expected. My first visit, there was no interest in impressing me as a new customer. No friendly banter, wouldn't let me sit in the relaxing pedicure chair which I requested, but brought a small tray for my feet. My polish was lumpy and didn't last a week before chipping both hands and feet. Adding insult to injury, this mani pedi was $90 which is $15 more than I usually spend. They took off the gel from my toes using the acrylic buffing tool which ruins your nails. I asked her not to do that because my nails are fragile and she should use acetone instead, but she ignored me and continue to do what she wanted. Afterward, since the buffing tool did not remove the gel from the corners, she used the cuticle nippers to remove the rest- I was blown away by the lack of care. In addition, they let me know that due to COVID, they charge an extra $10 for buffing the bottom of your foot, ridiculous. The tab would have been $98 for gel many and pedi including the $5 fee for gel removal plus the $10 fee for basic buffing. Are they joking? This is more expensive than the best SF nail salon. I will never go back. PS: I was so upset that asked to not have my hands done and just had her finish my feet with just a top coat to get out of there as fast as possible. read more

Since we'd been hoofing it during our trip on the hills in town and hiking, we decided to treat ourselves and get mani pedis after lunch (at 6.5 months pregnant you better believe I was in need of some treat yoself time!). I've been going to Suzies every month for 2-1/2 years and can honestly say quality of services remain consistent and I always leave satisfied. My typical requests are always waxing, pedicure, and the neck massage. Every month I receive my personal reminder text, and how I do appreciate these given my hectic work life. They remember what services I get and my preferred day and time. There have been a couple of last minute requests, and they always seem to accommodate. The greetings and their ability to always make me feel comfortable are stellar. It's not one of those fancy classy high-end spas, but definitely the services received are much better quality with much lower pricing. Thank you to all at Suzie's Nails. They have done a fantastic job meeting all the guidelines that are expected because of corona virus. I have been sheltering in place and am very careful as to where I go and I must say I feel very safe at Suzie's nails. First thing is temperature check and washing hands. There are plastic barriers between stations that are 6 feet apart and barriers between technicians and client. All staff wear masks and gloves and all clients have had masks on. Everyone is very nice, professional and accommodating. I've been going there for 20 years and have NEVER been disappointed. A beautiful manicure always puts me in a good mood! Update: I finally took the plunge and got lash extensions done after over a year of watching other clients walk out of the salon looking gorgeous. I have a bad back and trouble lying down. Suzie was patient, gentle and did a phenomenal job. The end result-they look great and I couldn't be happier! A jewel if a shop and if your looking for extensions-a great technician and outside the city, this is a definite recommendation! Posting the before and after. Suzie is more than a manicurist, she is a friend and she and her staff are the nicest people and all do an amazing job. Suzie does a great job on my nails as well as on my brows (both waxing and tinting) and is so precise that I would never go anywhere else. The salon is super clean with great big spa chairs for pedicures which are also very well done. Although they do take walk-ins, it is great to be able to make a regular appointment and when you call in for a last minute appointment , they always find the time to fit you in. I highly recommend this salon. I have been getting my nails done for over 30 yrs at many different nail salons. I must say I find Suzie's nail salon to be amongst the top. I now have silk wraps which is a lost skill. Most salons do not offer it. Suzie is so good my nails last at least 3 weeks and as a nurse my hands are in water all day so that is saying a lot. I truly enjoy my visits. The staff are so friendly I feel like I'm visiting close friends and not just having a service done. Please, you haven't lived until you've had a back massage by Van. Probably the wordy salon experience I've ever had. I wanted a simple color change. No filing no cutting, just a color change, she filled all my nails un evenly, she broke half my nails as well. She changed the price right before I was going to pay, this is a really upsetting situation as I've tried to grow out my nails for the last 2 months and she disregarded everything I said.
