I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new regular nail place. I'm so glad I found this one. Everyone was super friendly and didn't mind my early evening walk-in. The woman who did my nails was very meticulous and I think they're more symmetrical and perfect than they've ever been. The only negative I have is I wish they had a bit more selection for gems. It seems like they have a huge variety for powder dip nails but much less for gels but I am still more than happy with my service and will definitely be back. read more

I really was looking forward to having a manicure for the first time in a while but I almost wanted to cry. The lady cut a bunch of my fingers and I was bleeding while she was still filing my nails. I had to ask to please stop using such a rough file. My nails were bumpy and the polish looked awful. After I asked to please remove and maybe use something softer to buff my nails out, I was treated like crap. No apology or anything. Highly disappointed. I have been coming to Nail Boutique in Fairfax for over a year now. I loooove it. Kim and Tina and Kim's sister (oops, can't remember her name) are very very good at what they do. The salon is clean and friendly and they have all the latest colors. If you want a certain shade Kim will order it for you or mix two colors together - if you become a regular. She is up on all the trends and they offer regular mani/pedis and also the increasingly popular Gel that lasts about 2 weeks. The prices are very reasonable and they always do a great job. A pedicure will last 2-3 weeks and they shape the nails perfectly. I like my nails squared off and black - like my heart. read more

I love this spot! Every time I get my gel nails done, I'm satisfied... Normally I find a spot and maybe once or twice I'm not happy with how my nails come out- but here I'm happy with them every time. The last two times I came in, they stayed until after closing hours to finish my nails without rushing me at all. Really sweet people, and I don't feel like they over charge at all... They're not trying to slip in $5 massage here, or a $3 dollar rhinestone there. They just offer and let you pick what you want and don't want without any pressure. Update: 10/6 Under new ownership. So sad, this was my go-to place and when I went in today I noticed a new crew. There was no sign to alert anyone that ownership changed, just completely different people and unfortunately, subpar work. When I asked about what happened I was told that the owner gave the business away. My manicure was pretty awful-- rough with no attention to detail. The lady cut me and then rubbed a lime wedge on my cut skin. Ouch!! My nails looked better when I walked in then when I walked out. I won't be returning. ------------------------------------------------- This place is just wonderful. Owner Anna and her husband Si Son are so friendly, accommodating and so darn good at what they do. I am super picky and usually am very hard to please when it comes to mani/pedis. I expect great attention to detail, cleanliness, kick-ass massages and perfect shaping/polishing. Nail Paradise nails every one of my picky requirements (bad pun intended.) I look forward to my nails looking chipped or bad so that I can go back and get pampered once more but these perfect polish jobs last so long, I have to wait forever to go back! i had a completely awesome experience at nail boutique. me and my friend called half an hour before they closed on a friday to find out what time they were open till and they told us to come in. first, let me tell you the best part about my pedicure. it was the hot stone foot and leg massage. WOW. i had no idea. it was magic. the massage chairs were pretty amazing too. i have scoliosis so the chair massager usually isn't that great, but this one was incredible. and my pedicure was terrific. i didn't go for the fancy nail art they do b/c i'm kind of a plain girl. but they did an amazing job. everyone was super nice and me and my friend had a terrific time chatting w/ everyone and laughing together. they're a terrific bunch of people at nail boutique. they do great work and create a lovely experience. the boutique is very spa like and relaxing. i highly recommend it. read more

Excellent pedicure! The shop was nice to let me in after work half hour to closing. She spent quality time making them beautiful. I mentioned I'd be back for a manicure tomorrow but they said they could do it right then and there. So I thought hey why not... that was another nail tech and it wasn't so nice of a job. The paint didn't dry well and the nail tech felt rushed... I would've waited til next day to come back for the girl who did my toes :) that's the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the manicure tech was rushing and the end result wasn't what I would have hoped for. I have been here four times now and each time has been a very pleasant experience. The prices are about average for an affordable nail salon. Kind people working there, most of the customers seem to be repeat, local customers. I think that alone speaks well for them. They do a hot stone massage on your calves that feels great. Love this little shop! The staff was so friendly. They've got the big, fancy massage chairs, a great selection of colors, and the leg and foot massage was fantastic! Salt scrub, lemon and flowers in the water, good music...a hidden gem. The shop itself is small and not real fancy, but very clean and the staff is kind. The parking lot is small so it's just as easy to park at the grocery store and walk next door. Be warned...if coming out of their parking lot, don't turn left (east) on Sir Francis Drake - it's a $300 ticket for getting caught and the police hide. Turn right and then take and immediate left which will takes you into the library parking lot where you can turn around properly. No need to go to any other nail salon and happy it's so close to me!!!! read more

The first pedicure I ever had was a year ago when I was getting all done up for my nephew's wedding. I went to Nail Boutique because I live in Fairfax and it is just up the street. I thought they were all about the same, but apparently from these reviews it is a cut above. All I can say is that I wholeheartedly agree with all the 5 star reviews. For a very reasonable price I am in there for over an hour getting a hot rock leg massage; a great going over from their massage chair, and an excellent pedicure. Love! I'm super picky when it comes to acrylics but this place delivers. I got gel with my acrylics and they weren't thick and bulky like most places. Definitely coming back here. They also have a huge polish selection and are able to do designs if you have a picture from Pinterest or Instagram. read more

New ownership, as other reviewer noted. Not as good as before, unfortunately. But not horrible either. My pedicure was ok, they tried to keep same process as previous owner, just not executed as well. I went with a friend and their person actually timed herself to make sure she gave full time doing the massage, mine didn't and kind of looked around and seemed tired. My pedicures would last a really long time before, but this time it started to chip within a week. Will try again to see if things have gotten better. Others I know who go there have also said they miss the old owners and service is just not the same as before. read more

Hands down (pun intended) Nail Boutique is the best ever! Anna and her husband, niece, Hannah and the rest of the gang there are not only nice but perfectionists! This is the first nail salon that I have ever been to where the owners and employees sole goal is to make sure that everything is perfect with your mani or pedi before you leave. I've been there now 4 times for gel manicures and regular pedicure. Okay, so here's the best part (next to their commitment to a great finished product) - as part of the regular pedicure, they give you first - a honey scrub rub, then an oil rub, then last but not least a 10 minute lotion rub. TEN MINUTES. OMG - that alone makes a visit worth it. Plus they have a loyalty customer card that after you spend $300 cash, they give you a $30 discount. I just have to tell you about Nail Boutique. It is an amazing nail salon with added waxing, coloring eyebrows and lots more. I found that they have more nail polishes that I've ever seen available. They care and know about chemical content and have lots of information. Anna Nguyen is practically a doctor when she works on your nails. I had a real problem with my nail and I felt like she just did me such a solid that I am going to put this in yelp just so that you can find it right across from the Fairfax library. I think that you might not see it. I never Yelp places but in this case I'm making an exception. I had the most fun just organizing some of the polishes with the you energetic owners. I came here with a friend to get mani-pedis. The 2 stars are for my excellent pedicure- she was thorough and careful. Sadly my manicure which was done by the owner was very sloppy. I had to ask her 4 times to touch up my nails because she rushed through it the first time. She said it was the nail polish that caused the problems which was not true because my toes looked great. Now a day later my nails look like I did them myself with my eyes closed. read more

I went here because Fairfax nails was full, and I was sadly disappointed. This was the least enjoyable pedicure I've ever had. Staff was not friendly at all. The woman who worked on me was not friendly at all. She massaged my legs with rubber gloves on - yuck!, and didn't do a great job on the toenail polish. Then at the end of the "pedicure", without giving it any time to dry, she put some paper flip flops on my feet, didn't take out the toe separators, and shoo'd me out of my chair, even though no one was waiting to get a pedicure. She just sent me off with a "be careful" while she pointed at my toes. I asked if I had to leave, and she said "yes". really? Honestly, I've never felt so uncared for while getting a pedicure. The two stars are for the massage chairs. I won't return. I way prefer Fairfax nails. read more

my mom is a regular but i went to this salon for the first time even though it's been around for six years! it's your typical salon - a little on the small side with 3 massage chairs with feet basins and two hand nail counters. walk-ins are welcome but you're better off making an appointment since slots seem to fill up quickly. best part of the experience is the arm/leg massage they give! next time i'm in town i will definitely be back. read more
