I was really looking forward to finally getting my brows laminated again after so many years. I don't mind paying if the work is well done, but even during the appointment I mentioned that my brows probably needed to be waxed and shaped first, since I hadn't touched them in almost two months. Naturally, they would need some shaping before the lamination. A brow lamination shouldn't leave brows looking sparse or unpolished, especially at $250 plus extra fees. I even joked sarcastically, "Yeah, they look so good," and said I'd see her in 6-8 weeks, but in reality my brows looked awful. I ended up keeping my glasses on most of the day just to cover them. read more

Tyler did such an amazing job on my lash lift! My lashes look absolutely stunning, like a set of classic lash extensions! In addition Tyler is so sweet, kind, and professional. It's obvious she's a pro at what she does and takes pride in her work! The last lash lift I had was at a place in San Rafael, and I was left with wonky lashes and lashes that were stuck with glue to my eye lid, and I was told that my eye lashes were just too long, and that it'll take a few times to get it right. She was so incredibly easy to book with, and really gave me a thoughtful consultation about thickness, length, shape, and options that no one else has ever taken the time to do with me. I have been hairless for about the last 20+ years and been through every trend, fad and top esthie in the Bay Area. I remember my first request for a Brazilian, back in 1995. The esthie's response was, "Really? That's a bizarre request." Although the ensuing trend of waxing improved the quality of providers, not much could be done regarding the effects of waxing on my relatively dry skin. I battled the ingrown hairs waxing left behind with regular exfoliation.....but ultimately could not get rid of the pesky red bumps and itchiness. I swear my life changed when I was introduced to sugaring. Sugaring is this amazing process that does not leave me with ingrowns and the regrowth gets lighter and lighter. Carmie is the best.
