I have been a 'lash extension' client of Jessica's for about 6 months now. I never thought I'd be so consistent with such a service, but every time she was finished and handed me the mirror, I just thought 'WOW'!!! I have small eyes and short lashes which can make me look tired even when I'm not. With Jessica's craft, I feel like it wakes up my entire face and the best part is that it looks....NATURAL! Some people might comment, "you look really good or rested, etc.." but my eyelashes are appropriate for my eyes and face and therefore it's not obvious I have extensions. (I have seen those kinds of lashes and always think it's ridiculous!) Another amazing part is that they LAST until my next fill. I have been getting extensions since I lived in New york and they either looked fake, put too few on, or they started falling out 3 days after having a service!! I personally couldn't imagine going to anyone else as long as I live in the Bay Area. Cherry on top - Jessica is prompt, considerate, friendly, kind & funny and therefore it makes the time go by so fast, it's a joy! Not something I dread like with other places in the past. I'm 50 and have had PLENTY of beauty treatments/stylists/salons over the years. Without question Jess is the best at waxing for detailed finish. She is super clean, always on time and won't chat unless YOU want to chat. Her products are top-rate--no burns, ingrown hairs, nada. Quick and easy. I tried lash extensions for the first time last year and her "weekend warrior" set is all I need to make my eyes pop and look really natural. I get compliments all the time and wear no mascara. I visited Jessica regularly at smooth operations and would have happily driven 30 minutes to see her for the rest of my life but was thrilled when I found out she was moving closer, to mill valley. I've been using her services for over a year and have NEVER had a bad experience. She is friendly and fast. It's always a pleasure seeing her and coming home with perfect eyebrows. She is probably one of the very few people who can thread in all of Marin and I'm SO grateful she is a few minutes away from home. I have never got lash extensions (because Jessica is honest enough to tell me I don't need them) but I've seen people who have walking out of the salon gleaming. I first met Jessica Harris back when she was with Smooth Operations, and was impressed enough with her skills that when she left to work independently, I followed. At first I worried the Mill Valley location wouldn't be convenient, but coming from work near Francisco Blvd in San Rafael, it actually took me less time to get to Mill Valley then it did to Kentfield. The salon, Taylor Kraft, out of which Jessica operates, is not in downtown Mill Valley, where parking can be a hassle, but on Miller Avenue, close to Tamalpais High School and a lot of cute restaurants. There is a dedicated parking lot for the group of businesses around the salon, which is very convenient. She rents a private, immaculate space inside the salon, which also looks like a cool place, frankly. Jessica set herself apart at Smooth Operations by being the only one who performed threading. I have very sensitive skin, and find that I have less irritation when my chin is threaded instead of waxed. I've also had my eyebrows, upper lip, and bikini area waxed by Jessica and she makes it minimally painful. Plus, she's fun and funny to chat with, which is nice, because no matter how good someone is at waxing/threading (and Jessica is really good), it's not... shall we say... how most of us choose to have fun, and so it's great to be distracted. You know how when you move to a new area, and you wait as long as possible but finally you're like I NEED to get my brows done but who can I trust with my FACE? Jessica has been making my eyebrows and lashes beautiful for over two years. I'm also a big fan of brazilians too, but not a big fan of the process. However, Jess's flawless professionalism and experience make my experience comfortable and quick. Her impeccable skill in eyelash extensions are second to none. In the last two years, I've been disappointment in 3 lash extension attempts, but not with Jessica's work. It's been two weeks since she extended my last set, and they are still lush and beautiful. Hardly a lash has been lost. I plan on scheduling a fill in the next few weeks. I'm a busy 40 something year old......who's closer to 50. I have a family and work outside the home. My schedule is tight and my stress level is over the top. Many of you know what I'm talking about. Jessica offers exactly what I need. She demands not only professional excellence in herself, but in her working surroundings as well. She is personable, intelligent and fun to boot. This last summer was not kind to me as I lost two very close people to me to cancer. It aged me, diminished my confidence and sent me into a downward spiral of unimaginable depression. Jessica Laura Harris in a word: inconsistent. I've been very happy with my lash extensions at a San Francisco salon, but when last minute travel plans arose and I couldn't get into their salon, I searched out an alternative. She fit me in quickly, and did a great job and I loved my lashes. She was quite a bit more than the SF salon ($108 vs $85 after tip) but she was much closer to me in Mill Valley so I made another appt. This time I walked out with lashes that looked like mine but with mascara. I was definitely not happy with the end result and she did nothing to try to fix the situation. I won't be back. read more

I found Jessica a couple of years ago when I used a living social deal. I was impressed. Before that I had been looking for a regular place to go waxing. Her manner is efficient but also friendly. She doesn't miss any hair and there is no bruising. I also have her shape, wax, and dye my brows, and they look great and natural. After reading those other posts, I think I may try the lash extensions. I highly recommend trying her out, you won't regret it. read more

I would not recommend Jessica for any service due to her issues with scheduling and promptness. Within the last four months, I have had her text asking for a reschedule one hour before an appointment which then ended up being rushed. On numerous occasions, we would begin late and last week, I was scheduled for an appointment and went, waiting for her, only to find out that she wasn't there. When i did hear from her three days later, she made no attempt to reschedule in a reasonable manner. Very poor professionalism and ethics. read more

Jessica is the absolute best at lash extensions. I've tried a few different lash artists and she exceeds their skills immensely! I get compliments on my lashes daily and everybody thinks they're natural. It is key for me that my lashes not only look gorgeous, but totally natural.
