Chanel is super experienced and really listened to what I wanted. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with her and after 4 weeks, a lot of my extensions are still on! PROS: - Work: Chanel did an amazing job on my eyelashes. A few of the things I look for with eyelash extensions are the softness of the lashes, how the lashes look on, how long the extensions last and if the artist is certified. All my boxes were ticked and my lashes looked natural but full at the same time. She also cared about the integrity of my lashes, so she really educated me about taking care of them. For anyone wondering, I did a mix of the classic and Russian set. - Decor: The room felt very cozy and stylish. The bed to lay on was also REALLY comfortable with a pillow and blanket. - Location: Chanel's space is in a building with other estheticians and hair stylists. Really easy to get to! - Makeup: Chanel also carries her own makeup line, SASS, and the liquid lipsticks are stunning. - Goodie bag: After the appointment, she gives you a few things to keep your lashes in good condition. I even got a lash wash and a few spoolies! - Timing: The process took around 2 hours, which was pretty quick in my opinion! -Booking: Easy to book online. CONS: - Parking: Street parking available, but I took an Uber - Price: The more voluminous the lashes are, the more money it is. I must confess, I'm a lash addict and have been getting lashed every 3-4 weeks for the last few years. Before Chanel, I went through three other lash artists. So I have a good idea of what a good last artist does: -listens to how you want your eyes to look (natural, dramatic, etc.), -achieves your desired look, -doesn't painfully pull or snag your lashes when removing old extensions, -helps you extend the life of your lashes (cleanser, recommends lash growth serum as needed, new mascara wands), -checks in with you and then lets you take a beauty nap :) Chanel does all of the above, and is a consummate professional! Her space is comfortable, just as chic and sweet as she is. I really appreciate her gentle hands. Chanel's extensions aren't cheap, but the quality of the application is worth it. You get what you pay for, and I choose to invest in my self-care and well being. I'm happy to support a local boss babe! Finally, I spend as little time as possible on my beauty routine in the busy mornings. Thanks to Chanel and her precise, delicate lash extensions, I manage to look awake and put together with just a swipe of SPF/moisturizer and chapstick, or lipstick if I'm feeling fancy. Tip: book your refill appointments well in advance, at least two months out. Chanel's books fill up fast! For changes, she is very responsive to email or texts. This review is for lash extensions. Sass is located in Salon Village, this cute place with multiple store fronts owned by estheticians, hair stylists and colorists. When you walk into Sass, Chanel greets you warmly like an old friend. She asks the preliminary questions and figures out what works best for you. I told her I wanted them long and dramatic, because I wear fake strip lashes on the daily. The whole process took about 1.5-2 hours. We small talked for a little bit and then I just fell asleep on her because she is so gentle lol. When she was done, she took a picture for her Instagram. There was no stinging because she never got glue in my eyes. The lashes were super light, fluffy, and dramatic just as I asked. I usually wear liquid liner and strip lashes everyday. With the lash extensions, I would just walk out of the house and it would look like I have make up on. It cut my make up time in half and I loved it! They last at least four weeks before I scheduled a fill with her. (The fill lasted four weeks and counting now and she was just as detail oriented as the first time.) There's no one else I'd recommend for lashes or make up! I have gotten both services done by her and were so happy with the end result. I have had lashes done elsewhere and they were synthetic and they fell out within 2 weeks. My lashes lasted with her for 4-5 weeks - with me removing my liquid eyeliner every day. For the make up it was both for a friend's wedding and my own. I am pretty boring with make up, I wear the same thing every day. I wanted to look myself but enhanced if that makes any sense. Nothing too different but definitely picture ready. I explained to her that I was going for the old Hollywood glam look. I also can get a little shiny as the day progresses and that was a concern of mine. She nailed the trial! was so happy with the make up! Most times I go to Mac or Sephora and leave not feeling confident or it's just way too much make up. Lesson learned! Day of my wedding she was punctual, professional, and ready to go. She knocked out all 5 of us in no time! I especially liked that not all the girls had the "typical wedding" make up as that seems to happen often. Each bridesmaid looked stunning! The make up lasted all day and even at night (we continued the reception with an after party at the lounge in the hotel) and not once did I have to worry about it! For lash extensions she is FAST and precise. My lashes are looooong and applied perfectly. I've had several people comment on how great my lashes look (at very close proximity to my face)- but they don't know they are extensions until I tell them. Soon after I posted my review, Chanel reached out to me about either offering me a refund or free re-do. I opted to give it another shot and she made sure to accommodate my availability at a time that was probably inconvenient for her. I really appreciated her willingness to work around my schedule and the quick turnaround time. So, I showed up that Saturday thinking that that would be the extent of her customer service, and that her concern was just about the one-off rating on Yelp. What surprised me was that Chanel was genuinely concerned about the outcome of my lashes, and wanted to figure out what went wrong. She explained to me that she's been doing a lot of research on glues and lashes, and she only uses products that have been tested and are the least harmful/toxic to the body. (I actually had no idea there was more complexity to the materials being used, so I learned something new there.) Just like the first time, she was extremely vigilant about applying my lashes and they looked great afterwards. While the second time around, the glue she used didn't irritate my eyes, the lashes still lasted only about 1.5 weeks. I think now that I'm a little more informed about the materials she uses, I can confidently say that the glue probably just doesn't hold up as well with my skin type (I am on the oilier side). In terms of customer service, I would rate Chanel 6 stars if I could. She even followed up a few days later to check in on how my lashes held up and offered me another refund when I updated her. While her glue didn't work for me, I think you can trust giving her a shot as she will go above and beyond to correct the situation. She's also still testing out other products and it is clear to me that she's very set on improving her business from the service-up. Highly recommend! read more

Here it goes my personal experience with Chanel's work. Let me start off by saying that Chanel has genuine talent! I had eyelashes extensions once at another place and it was the worst experience ever! I was so scared to get them done again but after a good research here in the SF area I came across her and I'm so glad I did! I did a little set of questions once I got to my appointment with her and then she started doing her magic! They looked so natural but you could see the difference compared to my short lashes. Although everything looked good the eyelashes started to fall super quick within the first week!! Not even 10 days had past and almost all of them fell off! I was really upset because they are expensive and I did tipped her really good because I was amazed about the way they looked! So, I reached out to her and she had no problem on offering a new set of lashes because of the bad experience. The SECOND time went good! They lasted for about 2 weeks and they started to slowly fall off. I would say that you got to be very specific on your questions so she can do her best for them to last. I am more on the oily side so I probably need a stronger glue for them to stay in place! Overall, the experience was good because she is just an awesome individual with great talent, but the lashes lasted a short time in my opinion for the money they cost.
